Cancer is a sad and terrible thing for anyone to suffer; especially someone as young as Mr. Buell. The type he has is more often fatal, with a 4% survival rate at one year, and 0% after five years. We at the EYE ON THE PARANORMAL ask that everyone send their prayers to our GOD in heaven for the healing of Ryan Buell.
We won't allow any negative comments concerning Ryan's disease. But what we can't do is remain silent over a PRS Case Vault webinar that will be held on July 20 and 21. The subject is Paranormal State's well-known fake demonic possession case, "I Am Six" and its sequel, "The Possession: Return of Six." Those two episodes laid the foundation for the hordes of fake demon hunters that are running loose in the paranormal community and the church today. Those two cases spawned so many lies, deceptions, and distortions of how to confront the demonic.
For $75, you'll get two programs that allegedly contain more shocking information about this case from PRS and other eyewitnesses. Why is it that PRS never does anything for free? Let's do a little math. If they get 100 people willing to pay $75, they've earned $7,500.
1,000 = $75,000
5,000 = $375,000
10,000 = $750,000
For no charge at all, we're sharing our in-depth look at both episodes, right from the pages of our book, Paranormal State Exposed. Due to the length, we'll concentrate on "I Am Six" this week and the sequel next Monday.
We're open for a genuine debate by someone from PRS about the misconduct of Ryan and his team. However, we're not holding our breath that anyone is brave enough to come forward. You see, lies can never stand up to the light of truth.
However, if we do get a response, we'll share it with you.
Season 2, Episode 32 "I Am Six"
The “I Am Six” episode focuses on a young lady by the name of Lara, living in Quincy, Illinois with her family. The 26-year-old is allegedly being attacked by demonic forces. Her name is spelled Laura even though that's not the correct spelling.
Observe Ryan’s face, particularly the right cheek area, in the opening sequence at the church. Notice there is no pimple there at that time. This issue will be brought up as we progress through analyzing this section.
The case briefing in the church takes place at 10:26 AM Day 1. They then travel to the home, make introductions; set things up, and begin to tour the house by 11:33 AM.
Lara greets them at the door; we see no sign of trouble or discomfort at all. She even gives them the impression that she’s excited for them to be there—especially Ryan.
Barbara, the mother, states with little or no emotion in her voice, that the first time Lara saw the black shadow, which by the way is never referred to again, that Lara got hit in the stomach and couldn’t breathe for over one hour.
Lara makes claims that writing and scratches appear on her skin periodically, yet none are present at the time of filming. And we’re told that about 10 days prior to their arrival there had been scratches of a pentagram on her skin, yet there are no visible signs, nor are there any photos.
We learn that Lara claims to have been sucked down a laundry chute. Again, no proof or offering of injuries.
The house tour starts at 11:33 and lasts until at least 4:10 PM. Ryan is wearing a dark shirt. We then jump back in time to 2:37. Ryan is talking to Lara who’s now minus her glasses.
We are told that an EVP caused the entity to come in, yet we never actually hear the EVP.
It's now 3:48 PM. Ryan's talking to the mom, who’s not wearing the same outfit that she had on at 4:10. Notice how she sells the story with the phrase “All the time.” The mom adds that there is constant mayhem within the house but during the entire four days nothing happens while the cast and crew are present.
At 4:28 PM Ryan interviews Bob, the father, and Ryan’s had time to change from a dark shirt. Notice how calm the dad is and how he emphasized that his daughter could be a great artist, maybe even a star. This exchange is intercut with a shot of Lara reading a magazine in the kitchen showing no ill effects at all.
At 5:03 PM Ryan has changed back into his dark shirt for an evidence hearing. Eilfie and Sergey, who don't claim to have medical training, determine that Lara could not write on the inside of her thigh, nor on the inside of her arm. How difficult would it be to scratch yourself there? Also, they don’t take into account that someone else could have done it for Lara. Notice the markings never take place on her face or any area on her body that couldn’t be concealed with clothing.
Chip Coffey arrives at 9:56 PM and does his walkthrough. Now it’s supposed to be night but you can clearly see daylight in numerous shots.
Chip claims that the demon has a very dirty mouth, yet he is the only person who uses foul language during the entire episode. Here are direct quotes:
"Get rid of all this ****** religious stuff!"
"More religious ****!"
"Get the f*** out of MY house!"
"I'll kill the bitch!"
"It ****** her in the bathtub!"
"It just scared the **** outta me!"
They find a phrase scratched into the wooden floor in the closet. Again, the scratches are done where no one would see it and be an embarrassment to the family. In addition, note that Ryan’s voiceover is not done at the same time the shot is made.
At the start of Day 2, Ryan, who’s still wearing clothes from Day 1, points out to Eilfie the scratches on the floor. At 11:36 AM Heather calls a German translator but it’s clearly nighttime outside.
At 3:11 PM Heather interviews the former homeowner who informs her that one person had died in the house.
At 5:05 Heather informs the PRS team that two deaths happened on the property. Yet that’s not what the former homeowner said. Again, Ryan is still wearing clothing from the first day.
Ryan calls Reverend Calder at night of Day 2, and he flies in from Atlanta, Georgia at 9:49 PM. Or was he waiting in a nearby hotel?
It’s 3 AM Dead Time. Lara is sleeping with her glasses on. And what is this mysterious illness that she’s supposed to have? Please don’t forget they asked the parents to leave the home.
In the upstairs bedroom, Ryan, Chip, and Reverend Calder are arranged one way in one shot, and in the next the Reverend is in a different area of the bed so the camera guy could get a clear shot of Chip and the doorknob incident. Did anyone see the doorknob turn other than Chip? Also notice that numerous shots from this Dead Time are done in daylight and an attempt is made to block out the sun as much as possible.
Lara is supposedly attacked in the bathroom while she is alone. And Eilfie asks, where’s Ryan? As if she has no idea where he’d be at that time. Ryan's wearing his shirt from Day 1. In the very next shot the mother inexplicably appears in the bathroom, yet the family had been asked to vacate their home.
We see six scratch marks on Lara’s back and we learn that the demon’s name is Six.
There’s a voiceover of Chip and Lara done during the exorcism. We’re given the impression that it happened then. The mother claims that it scratched I AM SIX on her back in the past. Where is the proof? Also take note that both outfits that Lara and her mother are wearing are the same outfits they wore during Day 1 and we’re nearing the end of Day 2.
Day 3 starts off with a call at 12:20 PM to Lorraine Warren. This call is done on a different day than the rest of the episode. Look at the dark pimple on Ryan’s face; it’s hardly noticeable that day and in future scenes.
There's an identical shot with the father, and the scene is set exactly the same way. Both Ryan and the dad wear the same clothing from two days ago. What they discuss is a scene taken verbatim from The Exorcism of Emily Rose where she becomes totally rigid while in the bedroom.
The interview with the psychologist is done poorly. Ryan seems to know very little about what diseases could be misinterpreted as demonic possession, and he fails to ask the proper questions concerning this.
The family doesn’t react in a shocked manner when they learn of a possible exorcism rite being done—it’s almost as if they’re wanting and/or anticipating it. Notice that we’re in the evening of Day 3 and Ryan is wearing the same shirt as in the beginning of Day 1.
For a young lady facing a pending exorcism, Lara is very calm, her hair and makeup are flawless, and she’s posed very provocatively on her bed toward Ryan and Reverend Calder. She already has a red nose at the beginning of the scene, indicating she’d been crying. Was this even her first take? The shot wasn’t done at night but in the daytime. Watch the transition to the next scene.
Ryan tells us that he must enter a state of grace. What he doesn’t say is that every single person connected to the exorcism must enter a state of grace and how they indicate you go about it is totally wrong.
We now come to Exorcism Day. You’ll notice the shutters in the living room switch from open to closed at will.
The EMT is shown once and disappears for the duration of the episode. Ryan’s shirt has gone back to his Day 1 shirt, which is when the exorcism presumably was filmed.
We’re told the exorcism starts at 3 PM but notice the scanner that Ryan uses reads 4:01 PM. They cut and spliced numerous scenes together for a complete exorcism. Suddenly, it’s 6 PM according to their clock.
A big deal is made about it raining. What they don’t tell you is that it rained off and on throughout that day. Here's the link to the Farmer’s Almanac.
On July 18th, 2008, the weather station (QUINCY MUNI BALDWIN FLD, IL), reported the following conditions:
High Temp: 88°F
Low Temp: 68°F
Average Temp: 78°F
Dewpoint: 66.2F
Wind Speed: 4.6 Knots
Precipitation Amount: 0.03 Inches
Observations: Rain/Drizzle, Thunder
Now, it’s 4:45 and sunny. Ryan walks out of the house to talk to Lorraine Warren, yet we’re told it’s 7 PM when he goes outside.
It’s 11 PM and Chip has moved into the living room to take control of the exorcism. Suddenly, it’s sunny outside again.
The worst thing that the demon can do throughout the whole episode is call the poor girl "sleazy." Also, notice how her hair changes from being up to down, neat to messy.
The clock is moving backwards because we’re supposed to be at 11 PM but it’s back to 5 PM.
It’s Chip who decides she’s not breathing, from across the room. What happened to the EMT? And notice how Ryan pops around the room. Suddenly we see it’s 10:55. They keep splicing the show to make it appear more exciting. Observe, at the very end of the exorcism, how Chip pushes aside Reverend Calder, in order to have the final word. Remember, Chip was the one who declared in “The Name” episode that he was neither a demonologist nor an exorcist.
When Chip walks through the house for the final check, it’s daylight outside.
Two weeks after the PRS cast and crew left Lara had a negative reaction to holy water. The sad story continues in season 3.
We need to step away from our presentation of letting the viewer decide what is real and what isn't. There was and is no haunting. There was and is no demonic presence, whatsoever. Due to the vast number of errors in the way this "exorcism" is portrayed, and the harm that could come to pass if the public accepts this gross distortion. Kirby goes on record to say that in his professional opinion, this episode is fake.
Why was this episode aired? What we have are two groups.
~ 1 Paranormal Research Society and Paranormal State
~ 2 Lara and her family. Both groups have common needs. They want an exciting show, they know the formula of Demons + Exorcism = Ratings. Lara is seeking publicity and a desire to be in the media spotlight.
The film The Exorcism of Emily Rose provides an opportunity for the pair to achieve their goals. Watch the film and see how it’s an accurate depiction of how possession happens. You’ll also see some terrifying things from Emily’s perspective. It’s interesting to note that the demon in the film and the TV episode both say "I Am Six." Notice how similar some scenes are within the movie and the TV episode.
In addition, there have been two claims made by Lara’s family and Paranormal State.
~1 No paranormal group would help the family within the Quincy area. After checking with various groups in the region, most weren’t contacted. Those who were checked it out and found no evidence of a haunting.
~2 They claim the Catholic Church dropped the case. What they don’t tell you is why. Also, none of the local charismatic churches were contacted to come in and assist the family.
If Ryan Buell, as well as Father Calder, had ever been a part of or witnessed a real exorcism, they would’ve realized that what they were presenting was far from the truth in procedural matters as well as the way Lara acted claiming she was possessed.
~ 1 Ryan talks about holy ground when he first addresses the team. Ryan should know that demons, as well as their leadership, have access to all holy places. So just being in a church doesn’t prevent you from being attacked by a demonic spirit.
~ 2 When Lara greets the team does she show any signs of discomfort or pain? None at all. She seems to be very happy to be on camera.
~ 3 Notice that there are religious symbols throughout the house and her mom is even wearing crosses as earrings. Yet Lara shows no discomfort towards those objects.
~ 4 The pentagram has nothing to do with demons.
~ 5 Why were no religious items placed in or under Lara’s bed to see if any discomfort took place?
~ 6 Father Andrew Calder does a walkthrough but no in-depth interview with Lara.
~ 7 When Lorraine Warren is talking to Ryan on the phone she says something not true about the legion story from the Bible. Legion was not the name of the demon -- the demon was simply saying that legion, defined as many, means that many demons were in the person.
~ 8 Ryan violates one of his own church’s rules when it comes to determining if an exorcism is even required. It states that all mental illnesses must be ruled out. The psychologist says that it is possible that Lara has a dissociative disorder.
~ 9 Father Calder should have spent time in prayer and meditation prior to jumping onto the idea of demonic possession.
~ 10 Father Calder should have gone through a time of Biblical fasting to prepare himself for the exorcism.
~ 11 The State of Grace that Ryan talks about is not something that is quickly or easily done in just a few minutes. Nor is it something you can do with a few lighted candles. But it takes in depth soul searching, prayer, and a complete confession of all sins that have taken place within your life. Each and every person in the house, including Lara’s family and the entire cast and crew, would be required to do the same.
~ 12 The exorcism room should have had ALL the furniture completely removed and the windows boarded up.
~ 13 Lara’s family should not have been allowed in the room.
~ 14 Father Calder does not have any assistance in the exorcism.
~ 15 Does Lara show any signs of real discomfort in the exorcism? She draws a pentagram in the air, which means nothing to a demon. Lara’s voice doesn’t change, nor do her physical features contort.
~ 16 Chip should not have interrupted the exorcism.
~ 17 Lara shows no spiritual knowledge of past or future events relating to anyone—especially Father Calder. There is no vulgarity, spitting, vomiting, defecation, flatulence, or urination.
~ 18 Chip interrupts the exorcism a second time.
~ 19 Never does the demon engage the exorcist in a battle of will, logic, or faith. Nor does the demon ever challenge its authority to be there.
~ 20 Chip is not allowed to touch the person being that he is not actually a part of the exorcism. By doing so, he denigrates the spiritual authority of Father Calder.
~ 21 In the post interview of Lara she shows no ill effects or spiritual changes that accompany a person who has been demonically possessed. The possession itself changes the person forever.
NOTE: Requiem [2006], a subtitled German film also influenced the "I Am Six" episode. This film is about: "An epileptic girl suffers a breakdown during her first year at university, then decides to seek help from a priest in battling the troubles associated with her strict upbringing."

Hello,
In regard to Mr. Buell’s pancreatic cancer –correction: it is 20% survival rate for one year and 4% at five years. But, it is important to note we don’t know the specifics of his illness and where he is in treatment. I think I speak for many – I pray for a speedy recovery.
About the topic being discussed, I am aware that the members of PRS who were present claim it was a life- changing event. Could it continue to be blamed on bad editing, the beginning actions of a cult-like following, or are there parts of it that actually took place just not in the order presented or were enhanced scenes created to assist viewers in helping them to understand the story better? I don’t know…..
I would really be eager to hear from those (insiders) familiar with the case and/or how these shows were generally prepared / presented to the public. I would like to further hear from others who have dealt with these types of cases and what to expect. I was also curious as to why they waited a few years to show the behind-the-scenes footage as well as witnesses account.
Perhaps someone could fill in the gaps further?
Kindly,
Mariea
So sorry to hear such sad news. Ryan is so young a man with this most deadly diagnosis, very very sad.
Certainly will be praying for him and his family and friends who will be at his side during this most difficult time.
Aanica
What a class act you are, Kirby. You ask everyone to pray for Ryan Buell and then you kick the poor guy while he is down. Shame on you! This shows what kind of man you really are.
And you even used "ryan buell cancer" as a tag for this blog to try and draw readership to this site by using the poor guy's illness. You are despicable.
Thank you, Anonymous, for having the courage to use your real name to go along with your comments.
As we're the leading and maybe the only investigative blog in the paranormal [we haven't sold out, nor have we blindly followed para-unity troubadours to the land of see no evil, speak no evil, stomp on anyone who reports on evil], we walk a fine, ethical line when we report on those who are facing grave illnesses like Mr. Ryan Buell.
We have a duty to report the news. When Lance Armstrong was dealing with testicular cancer, the media had a responsibility to report the news concerning his issues with doping and the Tour de France.
Using news tags is quite acceptable. Sergey Poberezhny announced Ryan's illness.
We can understand your concerns. However, we think your concerns can be focused on other areas. For example:
1 Why aren't Ryan's closest friends not asking for prayers on their Facebook pages? Mr. Coffey hasn't done so. [And if wasn't for Ryan and PARANORMAL STATE, he might be still scooping ice cream and giving readings in the back room of his shop].
2 Convicted child molester Bob Hunnicutt worked with many within the paranormal entertainment industry [Keith Age, Andrew Calder, Patrick Burns, Patti Starr, Chip Coffey, Reese Christian, Sharon Johns and others], yet all have been silent on this issue. We find it very odd that Mr. Coffey, who claims to be a person who cares for kids, would be silent on this issue.
One of our reporters is currently working on a story about personal ties between Mr. Hunnicutt and several on the above list. These relationships were going on even during the trail so they would have firsthand knowledge of what was going on.
Feel free to share your personal concerns and we'll be happy to share a detailed response.
Many Blessings,
Kirby
im so sorry for ryan's battle with cancer and hes in my prayers. Even if he was not a para cleb , everyone who is going through such a horrible time with a disease should have prayers said... Again im very sorry and his friends and family are in my prayers too! God Bless!
I am six aired a long time ago why are you just getting to this now that he is ill? you cant even get your facts straight about the survivial rate of pancreatic cancer, a very deadly disease that some doctors wont even operate on. your timing to me seems like you are doing exctly what you are accusing them of...sensationalism.
Shame on you for using Ryan's illness to promote your blog. Disgusting!!!!
What does Mr. Hunnicutt have anything to do with I am Six or Ryan Buell having cancer? And just FYI I am a corporate compliance officer and have access to every states registered sex offender site. Mr. Hunnicutt comes up on none of them. Maybe instead of ripping people to shreds you can chalk it up to bad editing, as you should be well aware paranormal experiences don't occur everyday at a regulated time. This was most likely filmed over time. However I do agree where there are a lot of scenes and areas that do not add up. And again in my own opinion as I do not like to offend anyone I understand your need for wanting to inform your followers, this just may have not been the best time to do so.
He was convicted prior to the date of the creation of the sex offender list for the state of Georgia.
We have spoken to the church, paranormal groups, members of PRS and production people. All clearly state the show was staged and scripted. Lara needed professional help of the mental kind not the theological kind. [Prayers and healing were needed not casting out of non-existent demons.]
Our lawyer just contacted us after reading Victoria W's comment. The lawyer stated that more than likely she violated her company's policy due to the fact that she used company time and services to do a search into a person's personal life for matters other than employment.
You have a duty? Isn't that a bit of a stretch. You may want to report it, but you have no duty. By the way. Lance Armstrong had testicular cancer way before he was ever investigated for doping. It would be more respectible if you just said. I am using someone's sickeness to make myself more popular.
I think what we really need to focus on here alo0ng with parayer for Ryan is the fact that both Ryan and Father Calder are or have been extremely sick. Father Calder being struck mid 2011 with some sort of stroke that has left him on a ventilator not sure how he is now but he almost died and last I heard if he makes it may have to re-learn to talk, walk, etc. Now Ryan facing a disease that took y 40 year old best friend in one week. One week between diagnosis and death. Never lost a pound of weight, nada. We need to know if through all the skepticism and showmanship did they actually run into something powerful enough to negatively affect their health. Was it Six, I think you are right about that it was not. The case that somehow and I will never understand, lead the back to I am six was the one case of all that is burned into my mind. You talk about real demonic. People seeing something with goat horns and being prompted to walk clmly into the river and drowned themselves and be bold enough to come back and try the same thing on the sister. Now that is how they work. I stil to this day cannot understand how they left the most obvious demonic case that they have ever had with active oppression and a case of demonic induced suicide and one in the works to go back to six. I was flabergasted and still cannot find out what happened to the other sister because of PS gag policies. I think something happend at the suicide drowning case that lit up Ryan and Father Calder and could be afflicting them physically now.
I just finished watching "I am six" for the first time and choose to google Laura to find out if she is ok. I ended up hear where you are guzzling on hater aide. You have obviously spent a lot of time and energy trying to debunk this episode. I only want to remind you that television is for entertainment. I believe In possession. I believe that if you are not filled with the spirit of god that you, as a" vessel of mercy,"leave yourself open to outside influences. God is real. Often times people make the mistake of thinking we choose God. It is not true God chooses us and reveals himself to his church.
I hope that Laura was a fake. But I don't think it was. The cast for PS truly believe in the existence of a world outside of flesh and blood. Maybe you too would struggle find a way to execute a demon possession in one hour including commercial breaks. It probably takes you longer to call your lawyer. I wish the best and send out my prayers to those who are sick.
Cristina :)
LMAO! Your lawyer contacted you after reading Victoria W's comment?
LMAO~! Sure, my attorney always reads my blogs.
WOW
PATHOLOGICAL!
PATHOLOGICAL! no the best at exposing the fakes in the paranormal yes
while we all truly hope that mr buell survives his physical ordeal the comments here show that he has many devoted fans. i hope we all realize that these paranormal shows are for entertainment purposes and if any believe this material as presented they might be accused of being a bit light in the head. the goal of these networks is to make money by selling advertising and the ratings of the shows determine how much money they bring in. veracity takes a back seat int these situations. i do enjoy shows about the paranormal but i take them with the proverbial grain of salt. the fact that the only investigations prs does (according to reports at least) are the ones that are televised speaks volumes about their motivations.
Your retarded! How can you even look at yourself in the mirror? Using a sickness to attract readers to make yourself more popular! Seriously how petty do you have to be? U should be ashamed but yet youre not is my bet. Have you ever sat in on a exorcism? If the answer is no then you have nothing to go on but what you see on tv and read on the interent! You say you have encountered demonic before then you should know its not always holding its grip on the person it lets go and comes back when it wants to torture or needs a vasel. Theres not always pain or scars to show for the incounter either they come and go! Not everyones experience is the same i can say this because I KNOW!
Nice try but you do not know anything on the matter the case was fake she was fake the show was fake Ryan is fake Chip is fake while he lived Calder was fake
nice try
Thanks for posting this. You seem to have done an in- depth analysis of the show, and your methodology does you credit. I am struck by some of the ignorant and infantile responses you've had, and I wonder why you allow people to post as Anonymous. In my experience this just brings out the D- bags. Keep up the good work.
Ouch guys,im not gonna rant or rave at you for this, but you should really just come out and say it,you dont like ryan or his team(;,first you say he's in your prayers then you drop little hints like why isnt anyone commenting on him,and he was connected to a child molester im not saying he is an angel and im not defending the show it probably is fake, your evidence is pretty strong, but if you dont like him just say it,and i do feel this was done in bad taste, your kinda just kicking a guy while he's down, journalists dont have to be vultures.Like i said strong evidence but the wrong time for it,at least wait till he has gotten better or passed away,no need to beat a man with cancer, but thats just my opinion peace
God teachs us to love everyone which we try to do we dislike his sin
Have you formed an opinion about those other paranormal shows on t.v such as "ghost hunter and ghost adventures"?? If yes, are they real or faking(leading) us on?
all of them is 100% faked
100% faked is what I thought when watching these shows on t.v because we the viewer are always left in the hope of actually getting to see and/or hear real evidence that they seem to get plenty of but never for us viewers to witness. Who can I trust to be a real expert in the paranormal field in your opinion??
everyone that I trusted has left the paranormal
Sorry to hear that! So whos out there someone like me could read about, maybe corrospond with about the paranormal (or as some call it) ghost and haunting issues??
e mail me at freeallspirits@live.com
I've read what everyone has to say. I agree that I don't believe we were presented with all of the facts, however, there is a disclaimer at the beginning of every episode. The question everyone should ask themselves regarding this episode in particular is, "Was Iengaged and entertained?" If you can answer yes, then you should be keeping your negative critiques to yourselves. Mr. Buell and his associates are very much like the late Kurt Cobain and his band - they started something so powerful it took on a life of its own and became a "movement". How many movies and shows are now out regarding paranormal activity and pursuit? I can't keep up. Like many spiritual pastimes from long ago, this exploration of the occult and supernatural is nothing new. Tarot, divination, witchcraft, quija boards, haunted houses and spiritual possessions continue to fascinate all cultures. What PRS is doing is no different or anymore shameful than their predecessors. If you want to talk about something that's really despicable, let's talk about how a family in your town is starving right now.
not everyone was so I guess I got a right to say something so here goes
1 PRS is a scam
2 Ryan Buell is a fake
3 Chip coffey fake
4 Andre Calder a fake
5 The I AM SIX case was and is fake
6 all para reality shows are fake as is ((% of the para celeb
7 Am I done hell no the best is yet to come baby
Or you know, this whole thing could be a victim of A&E editting in such a way that things seem way more dramatic.
American Idol? Takes more than 1 day to film. They force all contestants to wear the same outfits while they are filming for nearly a week. Even the chicken costumes etc. That's television.
This is a TV show. Also fake demonologists and psychics were running rampant LONG before 2007, so don't even try and pawn this off on PRS. I can pull up documents talking about false readings and such from the time we started exploring death as a culture, earlier than that in other cultures.
But in the end A&E didn't hire these guys to show you the actual process of ghost hunting. They hired them to film a 30 minute snippet that scares people. Real ghost hunting is LONG. Long hours and lots of watching footage and listening to tapes OVER and OVER again and oh so often not getting a damn thing. Investigations can take 10 hours easily if you're somewhere from dusk until dawn. Have you ever watched a Ghost Hunters live show? It's BORING. So seriously, calm your bed and stop crying about TV shows being entertaining. No where in the description of Paranormal state does it say "This is a true story".
It could be but it is not
What it was FAKE
Omgz! My daughter and I adore Paranormal State! When we have nothing better to do - which isn't often - we'll fire it up and howl with mirthful glee at the comically inept Scooby Gang antics of Ryan & Co. The poor guy's a weak impresario, but an impresario nonetheless. Kirby, as outraged as you are that anyone would so flagrantly mock a subject that you take seriously, I am more so at your doggedness in your Quixotic attacks on what is clearly naught but silliness. Poe referred to his own writings for Blackwoods magazine as "whipped syllabub," which in my mind, is exactly the definition of Paranormal State. By granting your response to the show as much time and energy as you have, you have done nothing but to prove that you take Ryan, Chip et al much more seriously than does the bulk of the show's audience. My advice is that you devote this time and energy to your books...then again, we find you almost as amusing as we do Paranormal State. Almost. Those of us who take delight sitting in the darkness telling ghost stories and tempting mirrors with repeated cries of "Candy Man!" will never feel your pain. I acknowledge it, but I'll never sympathize. The only difference between you and loony Laura/Lara, is that she got her 10 minutes on AMC while it's more than likely that you never will. Shame on you for being such a fussy buzz kill! Long live Ryan Buell!
I meant A&E, lo siento.
Not to psychic are you our radio show starts June 19 the and we are in talks about a TV show guess my 10 mins are about to start
A radio show! How exciting for you! Break a leg with that, and as soon as you're on A&E for no less than 10 minutes I will name the next pukwudgie I meet after you!
Well, being an investigator for paranormal research,I can honestly say that some can be faked and some can be real. I have encountered both, unfortunatly.
I have watched the shows, included I am Six, 1 and 2 on several occassions and other episodes.
First thing we must remember is, this is tv, in a generation of reality shows. No more scripts, that costs too much.
Second, nothing ever goes as planned on an investigation, EVER. Entities do not just pop out on command or "proove" their exsistance. These two episodes, yes do give me doubt. There were a number of reasons. But hating an entire group for two episodes they have no control over once filmed and sent to air, well it is just hideous.
It should have been done better, yes. But none of them claim to be God.
Get over yourself.
Get your facts straight (including the Lance Armstrong one).
And grow up.
It is a good show, with good people.
If you dont like it, I am sure you can go watch a number of other shows. Why dont you critique Swamp People or Duck Dynasty? Im sure they are hiding TON!
Questionable duck calls and I bet those arent even real gators :(
LOL
you just like the rest fail to deal with the issues at hand
but keep reading we love you just the way you are
I am neither famous, nor on TV nor will I likely ever be. I have no blog to espouse my views or attack other's views. So my opinion may mean little. Regardless of fake or not, belief or not, anger or not. I must say that attacking and generally belittling those whose opinions differ than your own greatly damages credibility. Author and posters alike.
On that note, I would make a personal observation, Kirby. To maintain your credibility as an "expert," I would say that dragging yourself down to name calling and such childish sniping, is detrimental to your ambissions in the paranormal field. There is still a shred of what was once known as professionalism in this world, that one should endeavor to always show. I would encourage you to take a higher road with your responses. I could list my own qualifications, knowledge, experience, and achievements, but then it is just a "pissing contest," and I have no real interest or need to do so.
This also applies to posters who are in the same boat.
If you have issue with this you are welcome to contact me and voice it.
I've been reading through this thread and honestly, Jonathan Haralson is the only one speaking the truth.Thank you!
Look's like someone is still milking this at PRS.
https://www.eventbrite.com/e/prs-case-vault-i-am-six-and-i-am-six-part-ii-tickets-3630400626
The event says:
PRS CASE VAULT: I AM SIX AND I AM SIX PART II
"PARANORMAL: THE EXPERIENCE" 2014 CANADA TOUR
But they cut and pasted from their 2012 event and didn't edit.
If any of this is remotely true. It is possible the child has dissociative identity disorder. Which is demonically related but is not demonic possession. And the PRS is out of their league here.
I once would of stood up for Ryan Buell and his PRS crew, until Mr. Buell showed his true colors to me. And Everything adding up to what's already been.
Truth is never pretty for anyone, and is a huge pill too swallow, but we all must face it at one point and time.
It's a shame that Mr. Buell is not facing his truth, for he is still much like an out of control 'bull in a china' shop raging on.
Being a true enthusiast of The Paranormal, I can honestly tell anyone that Mr. Buell does not no a lick knowledge wise or investigating wise anything in regards to the spiritual, except too claim other peoples identities, and steal their words and knowledge such as he did mine.
Thank you for this insightful blog, and keep on exposing those that serve no purpose in the realism of 'The Paranormal' Field.
The Paranormal is not a game, nor is it a money gain, unless dealing with the 'cosplay' or Novel Writing aspect of it in which these items can be sold, and gained from pure prosperity intent.
Another notion one must take note of: Since Mr. Buell is on a faking spree, how do we know that his illness is real as well. Many celebrities under substance abuse have used many excuses such as illness and accidents too keep their addictions out of the eye of the public.
I can't speak for others, but I can speak for myself. I have previously worked with many substance abuse facilities, and have been trained to look for symptoms and signs. Mr. Buell reeks pill and cocaine addiction, along with alcohol (over) consumption.
Hey what's this all about?

Right
I've watched it several times. The first couple of times it was funny. I thought it was fake from day one. Now it's just sad. Some people will believe anything.
I can not believe you just compared ryan buell to Kurt Cobain, you're way off. On their wiki pages they're listed as actor's and when you click to see what they've been in ,only Paranormal State comes up. Kurt Cobain sang his own songs he didn't lip sync.
Amen!!
I found Ryan and his crew enjoyable to watch - there was kindness, sweetness and love, it seemed - but it is sad, EOTP, that you feel compelled to spend so much energy speaking ill of people. You go way beyond mere exposure of fakery, and there is barely a whiff of the duty-bound lingering after your comments. I found your blog by accident, and sort of wish I hadn't. It left me wishing, as I have before, that people weren't so mean, and wishing even more so that the high incidence of poor spellers didn't bother me so much. Not that it's a big deal in the overall picture...just irritating. And Kirby, just thinking, your time might be better spent learning how to write more proficiently, if blogging is what floats your boat.
Sending condolences to Andrew Calder's family and friends - he seemed a kind and gentle soul - and will pray for Ryan. I am so sorry to hear about his illness. There are worse dangers in the world of the paranormal than hater blogs.
No doubt! It's just a TV show. If you don't like it...don't watch it. Simple.
Yeah. I proved my point to some friends. I'm still (as are my friends) completely dumbfounded by how amazingly easy it is to create a scam, find a manager who tries to pitch your "story" and end up making money off of anyone /anything, as long as you can WRITE the story well enough to fool ppl. So all the lazy dumb Americans sitting around watching TV ALL DAY, allowing some con man to totally melt your heart, JUST enough to be signed up, (current craze is reality shows, which btw are mostly scripted, if you have any brains to know the difference) write books, charge too much to hear 'em preach like a GD pastor (who are almost always con men themselves) cancels more than once, doesn't reply or answer to anyone including the media, concerning refunds, and to top it off, his own staff has given up.also with no comment....what, how many times now? Enough. ..Unbelievable how stupid people are. Sad, stupid, makes the whole country look like complete idiots. Yeah, bravo to this man. Living off of your ignorance people.
look at the Kardashian empire. ...ugh! These people fart, and make an extra thousand for it... I truly hope you steer your kids far away from reality shows. I won't allow my kids to watch those shows. ...giving them such a false idea of life, or how the celebs live....so fake, so unhealthy and ridiculous! If this man, Ryan, was a real decent human with any integrity, would have at LEAST give refunds RIGHT AWAY after numerous cancelations. Cancer or not! He had enough in his bank account and ppl working with /for him to do the right thing. Instead ppl had to file suites against the whole mess. What a winner, eh? Yes, the wave of our future is watching, reality TV . Time to get rid of it!
maybe she just cares and hopes he gets well..if you brought it up it been alright huh..trash you get no brownie points on here... I think we all wish ryan the best and our prayers go out to him and his family and the paranormal state crew... god bless
I couldn't find where anyone pointed this out, but during the "exorcism" Lara started off wearing a yellow tank top with dark snorts then somewhere aroind the middle she was suddenly wearing a white top. So during thjs ordeal, she had time to change her clothes? Seriously? lol.
Does he really have cancer? It seems like the cancer showed up at a perfect time, a time when he ripped off thousands of dollars and was facing criminal prosecution for fraud, I have come across many addicts who lie about being ill and he seems to be like one of them
Just found out that Ryan does NOT have cancer and he has been arrested!!! WHAT? Someone earlier called it, he is suffering addiction. SMH so sad.

Yeah you sound professional alright. Thats sarcasm if you didnt get it. You start off representing yourself as a professional but yet turn in to a child once challenge by someone else. For instance #7 am i done hell no and the best is yet to come baby. Grow up, your probably just some kid living in moms basement, with nothing better to do. Facts are your were not present during either episode, so you have no facts to base your judgement on. When you are at an actual supernatural event and have solid facts to back up your claims then you can say something is fake. Anyone can sit behind a computer and make claims, if you are a true seeker of truth then get off your ass and get proof before speaking out on something you know nothing about.
I may not have anything else to say to this but had to say you were wrong here though I'm sure your intentions were not. Mark 5:9 Then He asked him, "What is your name?" And he answered, saying, "My name is Legion; for we are many." Just read a little closer that's all. Some things won't sound true all together if everything you give for evidence is not. Thank u for ur time
you all need to stop bashing paranormal rechers I am just getting in to yhe field and have seen thing that make your skin crawl
For those of you reading this thread...the first 'Raven' to post is a different person from the second 'Raven' to post - one of them is a bad writer and poor speller. Also has more bitterness. Just sayin'.
There are, BTW, real paranormal occurrences. They don't, however, fit well into a reality TV show.
