Special Report - Ryan Buell & the Cancer that is PRS, Part I

By Kirby Robinson

This is a Special Report. The cancer that was and still is Paranormal State, Ryan D. Buell and the Paranormal Research Society – Part I.

NOTE: The staff of the American edition of the Eye on the Paranormal was not responsible for the production or posting of this blog. The staff of the Eye on the Paranormal – European Edition – is solely responsible.

Paranormal State’s lack of credibility as well as the questionable practices of Ryan D. Buell and the organization known as the Paranormal Research Society (PRS) were topics that I had hoped would fade away from my memory as well as the memories of the public. But due to the fact that Ryan and PRS have been scamming people over the sale of tickets for events or webinars that never happen (mind you these problems aren’t new, they were occurring as far back as 2008 when the show was still on the air.) Ryan and PRS are responsible for the cottage industry that was created by misinforming TV viewers of what happens during a paranormal investigation. Far worse was the false perception of what goes on during a demonic case. It motivated certain people with less than honorable motives to copy such actions and continue to damage both the credibility of the paranormal community and the public who turn to these fakers for help and knowledge and get neither in return.

Some of the cast have turned their appearances on the program into other media gigs. Others have not been so lucky. One such cast member is a gentleman now known as Michael Young. Back when he appeared on the show, he was known as Topher Michael Young.

To be fair we need to give you some back story. Topher was a very dedicated lad while affiliated with the PRS and was eager to please Mr. Buell. Topher used to help with monitoring the PRS board to make sure that no one questioned the validity of the show. He even appeared on a few episodes. In October 2008 when the first client told her story on the Eye on the Paranormal, raising questions about the show’s validity, he and a rabid band of attack dogs went on the warpath trying to destroy the client’s credibility. They even went so far as to say she was crazy or had her own credibility issues. Funnily enough, they felt her case was credible when they filmed it. Topher’s mother, who was promoting events in Las Vegas at the time, even approached myself as well as members of the Ghost Divas with offers to speak at an event that had something to do with vampires, S&M, leather, bondage, and kinky sex if we dropped our reporting on the subject. None of us accepted.

Topher was never close to the top of the food chain. He was never a fixture on the show and after a few years he left claiming that his views changed over time and that he became disillusioned with Buell.

Becoming disillusioned with a mentor is something I can understand, as I experienced that with one of my mentors, Dr. Gene Scott. His PhD was earned from Stanford University years ago and the school library had a copy of his doctorate dissertation. While I was around him, I watched a man go from a great teacher to one who no longer taught on any subject other than give me all your money. The last straw came when one Sunday he had the front row of the Los Angeles Theater, the home of his church at that time, filled with playmates, hookers, porn stars and exotic dancers. He later went onto marry one. After his death, Melissa Scott became the leader of the church. Here’s a link about Pastor Melissa Scott:

As I grew older and a little wiser in the Lord, my eyes began to see warning signs. Dr. Scott was a big fan of Ed Warren and communicated with him. Things that were shared from the conversations were things that every beginning demonologist should know. I was always like yeah everyone knows that was the meat from Ed Warren’s teaching. So I can understand his struggles but it seems that Mr. Young speaks and thinks with a forked tongue and mind.

On one hand he disagrees with Mr. Buell’s views and management style, on the other hand he claims that everything was on the up and up on the show and it just might have been exaggerated a little bit.

Exaggeration is when you tell your date that the McDonald’s she is being taken to for dinner is fine dining. Lying is when you tell a client and the viewing public that there are GHOSTS and DEMONS around every corner and in every basement and attic.

He claims that if an error is found in the show that has been all explained away and the record is clear. If you question his or PRS versions of events then you’re jealous, you want your own reality show or you have some kind of agenda.

All are talking points that PRS has used for years.

But Topher is a very dangerous sort of animal as the spiritual cancer that affected the show and all those around it has affected him.

For a while, he has run a Facebook page called Worst Paranormal. Anyone with paranormal and supernatural claims better be able to back them up, which is all well and good. Does he go after well known paracelebrities? No, only mom and pop paranormal groups. Does he go after all Psychics and Mediums including those well known in the paranormal field? Those featured on Paranormal State? No. Only those that the media has decided are far game. It’s like Theresa Caputo, the Long Island Medium, if it had not been for Ron Tebo and Radar Online we would still only get feel good stories about her. Now it is cool to go after her. Does Topher go after big named TV show hosts like Zak Bagans and Amy Allan? No. He does go after minor internet hosts. Now he says demons do not exist. Does he go after some of the big named demonologists and pastors that take on demonic cases? No. He goes after small fry like myself who do not claim to be in the paranormal at all.

Topher suffers from a disease known as Facebook Paranormal Nobody Syndrome. It affects many folks. You get a Facebook page, call it paranormal something or other, get a few hundred friends, maybe a small website, and then your ego starts to grow and you think  you’re somebody.

And if you refuse to play along with Topher and PRS, then you have something to hide.

In the future parts of this series we will take a deeper look into the cancer that was and is Paranormal State, Ryan Buell, and PRS. We will show that Mr. Young’s world falls apart when the light of the truth is shined on it.

Parts 2 and 3 will run July 4 and 5.

Issue 101 – Liar, Liar Paula White’s Pants are on Fire…

By Kirby Robinson

…or Maybe Her False Eyelashes

We at the EYE ON THE PARANORMAL expose fakers wherever we find them, no matter if they are fake psychics, fake para-celebs, fake para-reality shows, and even fake TV/New Age preachers.

Paula White is well-known within the circle of the Word Faith “Prosperity Gospel” movement. They teach a false doctrine of name it and claim it, that we get rich by giving money to them, and that we are all little gods on the same level as the Father in Heaven.

On a recent program that Ms. White taped, she unleashes her false teaching on the subject of First Fruits. This is a practice of the Jewish faith in which the first of anything is given over to God. The first lamb that was born or the first calf went to God by offering it to Him. The first monies that came in at the start of the year went to God.

This was done because they were living under Jewish Law. All the Laws that ruled the Jewish faith came from Moses and the only way that a person could please God was to fulfill the Law and live by it.

All those Laws ended the minute Jesus Christ was born. He was and is the only Messiah [Kenneth Hagin now teaches that he was not the Messiah and the Jews have one coming--a false teaching.] When Christ was born, we fell under the rule of grace that the festivals such as Passover and Hanukkah don’t apply to the Gentiles, which includes everyone outside of the Jewish Faith. This is because as Christians we are free of the Law.

Paula White isn’t the first nor is she the not going to be the last false teacher on the subject.

Dr. Gene Scott used to be a spiritual mentor, but one major issue that finally drove me away from him was the teaching of the First Fruits on everything. Here are four examples of First Fruits:

1 You owe God your first paycheck.

2 The first dividend check goes right to God.

3 Your tax refund goes to God [it’s the first refund from the government for the year].

4 The first profits from your business venture go to God.

And who is God in these cases? Paula White and Dr. Gene’s widow, Melissa Scott. Well, to their ministries’ bank accounts.

In Gene’s case, his followers’ First Fruits went to pay for porn models to dance for him at his home and sit in the front row of his church. [Melissa, his wife, was one of those dancers. She has replaced him after his death and teaches the same thing. If you don’t give her your First Fruits you’re heading to ruin for the next year].

You might have heard of Paula White due to the infamous scandal of being caught with fellow fake Benny Hinn. It would be a safe bet that she knows more about Benny’s Fruit of Looms than the fake First Fruits teaching she pushes. However, here is some background information on her and the false teachers, false rabbis and false teachings.

Paula asks can we dig it? No Paula we can’t.

Paula says God had more than one son!

Paula had the same fake act performed on her by the same fake Rabbi!

She throws God’s Word into the garbage --why not toss in the Bible, too?

We all should run from false teachers.

What sets Paula White apart from other fake pastors/teachers like Creflo Dollar, T.D. Jakes, Joel Osteen and Benny Hinn, is that she has learned the tricks of the trade far better than others have. She knows the false teachings of the new age better than she knows true Christianity. She blends many religious paths into one. She is a master [along with Melissa Scott] in baiting and switching the truth in her messages. Ms. White says she’ll share information and will begin to do so then she starts a new subject and never returns to it.

Next week we'll take a close look at her false teaching of First Fruits.

There’s No Real Love on the Love Channel

You might’ve noticed a new channel on your cable, over the air, or satellite provider called the Love Channel. The thing you’re not told is there is no love on the Love Channel. American viewers who watch this may be fooled by the title but it has nothing to do with love and everything to do to convert Christians to the Muslim faith. The goal of that religion is to end the Jewish and Christian religions either by peace or by force.

They use Americans as teachers and refrain from using the name Muslim. In their false book they talk about love and bring you the core teachings of the Muslim faith, yet they never mention its name.

As in George Orwell’s classic novel, 1984, the Ministry of Love is actually paradoxically named. So it is with the Love Channel …

Issue 87 Why Ask Questions If You Don’t Want Answers?

By Kirby Robinson

Have you ever noticed that when someone wants to set you up they'll ask you a question that would take 20 minutes to answer---but they give you 45 seconds to respond? Then they turn around and say you don't know what you're talking about. Also, I still had 18 minutes and 15 seconds worth of information to give. This is a false type of debate, a common practice of those within the new age and shadow Christian haters to use. I've been a victim of it, along with anyone who stands up for GOD'S Word. We are living in the last pages of the New Testament -- take a look at the Book of Jude to finish the ground work for the End Times. Man will claim any religion as from GOD. They'll claim to know him when they don't. They'll say any sin is okay. And what was once GOD'S Word will be turned on its head. Dr. Gene Scott once told me back in the 80's that the church in America had to be destroyed prior to the start of the End Times. Additionally, so did the Bill of Rights -- but that's for a different blog.

IF GOD IS ALL POWERFUL WHY IS THERE EVIL?

People think that’s a stunner. Ask a Christian that and you have them on the ropes. What we were told at new age meetings back in the 80s, it has been far longer than that but it was a popular one in the meetings back then. Now in the age of both pat answers and pat teachings everyone expects a response and a teaching in less the 45 seconds. Unfortunately that isn't always possible.

God created the earth in perfect balance. There was to be no evil, no suffering and no sin. There was to be no:

Birth

Aging

Illness

Death

As GOD had it set up there was to be only Adam and Eve keeping company with GOD and worshiping Him. With Him they never had to suffer. Life was a perfect balance. There was never going to be an afterlife as you have to die to have an afterlife.

Due to the fact of Free Will for all his creations, Lucifer rebelled and was cast out of the heavens and fell to earth. Lucifer hated man and sought to make him suffer as he and his fallen had suffered. He tempted Eve, who in turn tempted Adam, who then suffered the wrath of GOD. This was for the betrayal and for what was unleashed on the earth: the suffering of birth, aging, illness and death as well as condemning His Son [Jesus] to a death sentence. Evil doesn't come from GOD. God doesn't like to see people suffering. Evil is due to the rejection of GOD'S greatness. While this isn't a complete response, it's far more than the new age ambusher wanted to hear.

Let's take a look at some of the questions and comments that took place in the Paranormal Journal chat room:

A person by the name of Spirit Realm IP. I always love it when people hide behind a fake ID when they speak -- it lends so much for the public to find their words to hold seeds the truth.

Spirit claims I'm a liar. Show me and the public what I have lied about. "Spirit Realm" claims to know who is on our staff [interesting how do they think everyone is in this for the money]? Sorry S.R., we do have a full staff of experts who lend a hand when their needs to be one. Why do we not advertise who they are? So their life doesn't get filled with threats, stalkers, haters, and idiots. Because that seems to be what the paranormal entertainment industry attracts. Genuine light workers do it in the shadows. Glory isn't the prize but helping to end suffering is.

S.R. gets their facts wrong as they claim that they spoke to Gary and I was the fool that was going to have my blog removed.

The reality is that this was the blog that was moved:

I removed mine due to a change in heart concerning the case.

Nel Crawford wanted to know how we make money to pay people. Wonder why this was not asked on the air? Mr. or Ms. Crawford must do volunteer work. I never charge for my help. If the client can help with expenses, that's cool. We do have some benefactors that realize the importance of the EYE ON THE PARANORMAL. If I can keep a roof over my head and food in my belly, that's all I need.

Shannon Swift felt that I was jealous of the others. I've heard this more than once! She implies  that I want what fake para-celebs have, and wish to be in their place, do as they do, be rewarded here on earth for their actions and suffer the same fates they face after they cross over and face the final judgment. I value my relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. To enjoy temporary happiness here and now usually means facing lifetimes of suffering in the afterlife. That's not the path I choose at all.

Connie Dyment apparently has ties to a show called Zero Gravity Paranormal which appears to have drinking the psychic/paranormal investigator Kool-Aid. Ms. Dyment added a great insight by calling me an asshat, and that they were making me stumble. Clearly, I'm still standing ever stronger in my faith and the determination of my convictions. I invite Ms. Dyment to a public debate on the issues on a neutral show if she so desires. The first question should be just what the heck is an asshat?

Mary Magdalene claims she didn't get a response from me which is not true. She got a response; it just wasn't the one she wanted. She also feels that by placing my name on SHADES OF LIGHT, SHADES OF DARKNESS and donating profits to charity isn't being charitable enough.

So to use her logic all the celebrities [which I'm not] who donate their time and money should do it and not mention their names on books they write and give the funds away.

I wonder [I asked this last week] did the producers of Ghost Adventures, the team and the production staff donate all their profits from the show? Should Ghost Adventures not run any opening/closing credits? I think the only people that didn't make money off the episode was Gary Galka as he refused to take a dime for the episode.

This week we'll close with the story from Matthew concerning the night Christ walked on water [a feeble attempt to prove ghosts are real].

Now let's tell a modern story!

Two boys in a dark room hear bumps in the night

One boy asks what is it?

2nd boy says It's a 3-headed boogieman.

Just because someone says it might be a ghost or think it is doesn't make it so.

Nice try but no points …

Next week--We deal with para-celebs behaving badly and produce more responses to the questions from the Paranormal Journal chat room.
