EVP's And ITC Devices. Dangerous....

Hello my para beauties. I hope you enjoyed your weekend and everyone you love is healthy. It's nice to have Spring/Summer upon us. The weather in many places this winter was brutal. I pray everyone is safe and didn't suffer badly.

I know back in September 2013 I wrote about EVP's and I feel the need to discuss this again along with ITC (Instrumental Trans Communication) devices. Kids between the ages of 9 and up are asking for recorders and ghost boxes to do their own EVP's and investigations. I know of 6 children here all under 13 were given digital recorders, ghost boxes, Ovilus etc...I can't imagine why anyone would allow a precious child risk the many dangers. That is too young for them to fathom and understand the risks. I know these parents truly feel there is no harm. I'm certainly fully aware it is a innocent act.

It's just my humble opinion on the subject of EVP's and ITC devices. I've witnessed many good people suffer the consequences from a unhealthy obsession wanting " to just see what is around". I pray before each one I have to do for a case or investigation however, that is the only time I resort to EVP's. I'm aware this subject has been discussed and many feel they are harmless. Maybe these cases I speak of just had bad luck but it's no different than attempting communication via ouija board or automatic writing. Just because you left a location with nothing going wrong doesn't mean all is well. Demons are very patient and very dangerous once you have their attention. This is pure evil, why would anyone risk this? I had a case where said person was constantly doing these. She lost her friends and some family as she only seemed to care about was doing EVP's. At that point she could not bathe. She refused further help. Family and friends no longer can even reach her. She disconnected her phone and uses only a PO Box.

My point is use these things with caution if you must use them.

Great article, Jen. I've recently seen mention on Facebook of a parent buying a Ouija Board because they found one at their child's favorite store - Five Below. I'm sad this game is still a popular one. These things can lead to obsession and paranormal trouble, that's for sure.

Bobnoxious said...

The real danger is superstitious adults scaring children with ridiculous nonsense.

KM said...

Thanks, Bobnoxious, for reminding me why I need to stay away from this webpage / blog. I used a Ouija board back when I was a small child, and it led to some issues. Nevermind - I'll spend my free time looking at other websites.

Unknown said...

KM either you agree with the punk rock dude or you don't. You just said the Ouija led to some issues but then you say his snarky remark reminds you why you need to stay off the page. If you agree with his comment, then you should just say I had a Ouija board and it was harmless and I turned out fine because that is what Bob is implying.

I had an Aunt and a Cousin very into the Ouija board when I was little. This is of course purely anecdotal. I am certain I was only 8 or 9 and he was two years younger.

Both of them are so screwed up right now, their lives are a complete disaster. And by disaster I mean barely able to function, including the worst possible living situations you can have in this country. The young man is in and out of jail, and the aunt can't support herself at all and they stay together now. Just last week he let a homeless friend from jail stay there and the guy ended up wrecking what meager existence they have in the worst ghetto in town in a very rough town. I have no idea where they went wrong. When my mother tells me what's going on with them currently I just shake my head thinking why?

Of course I am sure millions played with Ouija and turned out fine. Ironically the daughter who was my age, (now 45) got pregnant right after HS, married the guy, and her marriage is still going strong, having raised two fine children. She never was interested in any of these weird games or oddball disgusting scary stories my aunt liked to tell.

Yes my example is purely anecdotal, but the two who tried purposely to attract these strange spirits have had nothing but disaster. Everyone else turned out fine. Is it because they are naturally messed up or is it possible they unwittingly invited some nonsense into their life. This boy was 7 years old and talking about his protector, and the bad spirits in the room. Maybe it's a case of a crazy mom injecting crazy into one kid and not the other, but it's an interesting observation nonetheless seeing how things turned out.

KM has every right to her opinions like anyone else and a difference in opinion leads to nasty comments. Wow..

Jennifer Auld said...

How many times have I said these are just my humble opinions folks?? I'm entitled to them just as you are people

no one can give a difference in opinion without making digs or smart ass remarks.quit reading shit u people who hide identity dont like or agree with. problem solved

It's a sad state of affairs but it's true annon. Been this way for a long time now. I rarely respond or even read blog comments after it goes live due to all the cyber bullies hiding behind computers.

Unknown said...

Actually my apologies if KM was put off by what I said, I was implying that I would hope she is not that influenced by Bobs comment to not read the blog. I think her feelings about the Ouija are valid, and gave my personal example of what I've seen.

Bobnoxious said...

I stand by my general statement and advise "KM" to not assume she/he is the center of the universe...

@ Jerry
Am I the "punk rock dude"
If so, why?....

Quote:
"Of course I am sure millions played with Ouija and turned out fine"

Conversely; I am sure there are also millions that have never touched the enchanted Milton-Bradly board game yet their lives are still filled with chaos and turmoil.

Bobnoxious said...

"Anonymous" does not approve of "people who hide identity"

And I thought Huffington Post readers were daft LOL

Bobnoxious said...

@ Jennifer
So KM's opinion is okay as long as it reinforces your demon paranoia world view (which would obviously be of great psychological detriment if bestowed upon a child by a trusted adult)but anyone that expresses a difference of opinion is a cyber bully and a troll right? ....

Holy liberal victimization strategy Batman!

Michone said...

I have found in all the years of watching Kirby's blog if you disagree with some of the contributors then you’re automatically a troll, why not have a lively discussion? I have been a contributor here more than once; my blogs have racked up over 200 comments, more than once. I did not get upset when there is an opinion different from mine and yeah, I can take the heat…
Jerry and Jennifer get a thicker skin and stop with the over emotional how dare we attitudes, maybe your blog would get more then 5-12 responses. Bob is right, superstitious adults do more harm than any Ouija board ever could. Jerry why would you lecture KM? What is it to you whatever side they choose to agree with?

Michone said...

chip chip, lol so where are those full of myself comments now? what happened, ya'll get scared? Debating EVP and Ouija and its effects will never get off the ground if all you can do is cite anecdotal and superstitious rhetoric. Ouija is a game board and nothing more. Recording random radio waves will not cause you to attract attachments... heh heh

hey Bobnoxious I like punk rock dudes..take it as a compliment

Leave the children out of it ... I'm still outraged over "Psychic Kids" and we will systematically DESTROY anyone that attempts to incorporate children into this paranormal douche-bag circus as props or a promotional gimmicks (try me)...

Not to imply that any of you respondents to this post are guilty of this, but I know what triggered Bob's initial terse comment...

KM said...

Thanks, Jen. I guess the snarkiness of Bobnoxious got to me. Jerry, I didn't mean to be ambiguous. Ouija boards are harmful. Michone, you're right. I should have a thicker skin, and everyone has their own opinion. When I was a toddler, I played with my sisters' Ouija board when they were at school. I think this is what opened the door for unwelcome paranormal activity in my life. I know plenty of people go looking for paranormal activity, but I find it's sudden, unexpected appearance rather unsettling. And although I don't always agree with all the bloggers on eyeoftheparanormal all of the time, I believe this paranormal activity was demonic in origin. Jen, thanks for the great article. All demonologists should be as kind as you.

Bobnoxious said...

Too many, Bob.

Bob you're entitled to your opinion and to disagree is perfectly fine – there is no problem with that I just think it's unnecessary to make digs and call & names but you're entitled to your opinion just like everybody else's and accept sincere my apology if you feel is offended by my blog. In the future every body can bypass my blog on Sundays that way you don't waste your time reading them and then waste your time replying when you have better things to do. I am a nobody. I am just blogging about subjects that people ask me to and it is just my humble opinion as I've said many times so I sincerely apologize that this offended you or anyone else but just like you guys I'm entitled to my opinion. I don't care what anybody thinks of me or what I believe and I don't answer to anybody but Jesus Christ and I don't push my belief in him on other people however, I do show respect to others who have different views and opinions and I always will. This is why I never really go back and read comments after my blog goes live. I just don't want to give skeptics and other people reason to put us down like that one comment that gentleman was bashing each and everyone of us and could not believe that this subject is it still going on since Sunday. He removed his own comment I don't know why but at any rate this is why I will not be reading my comments in the future. I should've stuck by that but I just wanted to make it clear I have no problem with anybody who disagrees because majority of the people do disagree and you're perfectly entitled. I hope everybody has a fantastic week and I hope everybody you love this healthy. Take care and thank you to the people who emailed me privately..my cancer is still in remission and I truly appreciate the kind words. Wishing everybody a wonderful and healthy life.

Jennifer Auld said...

Also to Michone.. I'm not afraid nor do I fear anybody or any type of debate. I just don't have a lot of time to play online I have some personal health issues and I also have a dying aunt living with me and a elderly mother to help since my father's death. Unfortunately Many people have a lot of things going on in their life and I'm using myself as an example so it might not always be because they're scared of any kind of debate or difference of opinion there might be more to it than that. I wish I had more time to be online but I really don't. I have friends I really wish I had more time to reply to and to catch up with it's a drag. Lol. but I do not fear anybody or civil debate by any means and nobody is a cyber bully or a troll by disagreeing and nobody knows how many hits these blogs get just because there isn't any comments. Many people do not like to comment because they don't want to deal with the drama due to misunderstanding of what they're trying to say These blogs that people write do get a lot of hits. I wish you well and I pray you and everybody you love is healthy have a fantastic week. :) Thank you for contributing to the blogs and the website like you mentioned above. It is greatly appreciated. ;)

Wishing any and all readers wonderful week and take care. You know how to reach me if you need to I'm just not active on the blogs.

These are lyrics from a song my classmates and I sang daily in chapel at our small church school years ago. A friend of mine (former classmate) posted the lyrics on facebook a few minutes ago. This song reminds me of this blog discussion, and why it's important to not be intimidated when it comes to speaking the truth.

@Bob yes, I was talking about you, just showing my quick wit, it's quite common on the net to poke fun at each other's screen names.

Besides I am more of a Slipknot guy... "I push my fingers into my eyes...."

@michone I was merely trying to figure out where KM stood her post sort of agreed with Bob the tone did not. My skin is thick.

@all I was quite clear my post was anecdotal. The only two people in the thousands I've encountered in the military, college, grad school, east coast west coast and midwest the ONLY two people I know who were into that ended up more screwed up than anyone I know.

Yes it could be a coincidence. Maybe they are just plain old crazy but as a data point I have to say it's at least interesting. Trust me nobody is more of a live and let lover of freedom than I am. I hate dems, I hate the GOP and I would never ask for some wienie government dweeb to monitor Ouija board purchases. I am sure some use this stuff and are not affected but it was not my personal experience.

Hi, Bob, yes, the paranormal issues have, for the most part, stopped. Whenever the demonic activity starts to come back, I (through the power and authority of the Lord Jesus Christ - and I state this out loud), command the demon to leave. I don't have that authority on my own, but as a born again Christian, having accepted Christ as my Savior, I can command the demons to leave through Christ's power. I used to just ignore the activity (shadow figures, sounds of footsteps, doors closing on their own, dead relatives appearing at night smelling of either perfume or decay, objects moving or disappearing, dreams of deceased relatives communicating with me, out-of-body type premonitions, etc.) figuring it was part of my odd life or even a symptom of mental illness. However, when my young daughter started seeing deceased relatives, was able to draw pictures of them in accurate detail except for the blank eyes, heard threatening voices coming out of the bed (??!), hated to go into her room, felt something grabbing her foot at night, etc., I knew I had to get help. I used to watch a lot of paranormal shows, or even reruns of "The Ghost Whisperer" or "Medium" but I don't do that anymore. That type of activity seems to be the equivalent of putting out a welcome mat for the paranormal, or at least that's how it works for me. My daughter is good about avoiding paranormal topics these days. The last thing she wants is for us to have to call in someone like a reverend for help with house cleansing again. Paranormal issues are easier to prevent / avoid than to cleanse away :-) Whenever you call in a third party for help, as nice as it is of them to help (and I'm thankful for the help!), their issues (personality quirks, their own paranormal attachments) or even my attachment to them or feeling I need to call to them for help, might come into play as well...at least that's my impression. So please stay away from fortune telling, Ouija boards, EVP communication, fascination with paranormal shows, etc. My daughter seems to have forgotten most of her previous paranormal issues, and I try to not dwell on that difficult part of our life. As long as we don't seek out the paranormal, things seem to be ok. Yet if I have trouble with my husband or something, the issues seem to return. So I'm guessing there are a variety of welcome mats / opportunities for demonic or paranormal activity to make a comeback. Honestly, I think I'm crossing the line by even commenting on this blog. And I'm saddened by how quickly I took offense by your first comment, Bob. My apologies. So I probably need to stay away from this website or at least not visit it so often. I enjoy reading the blogs so it's tempting for me to return. Take care.

@ Gheston, quote: “M ur replies clearly indicate you don't have much of a life b/c ur checking back here many times daily. Ur trying ur damnedest to stir up drama the words you choose is proof. MoveOn already you're making a fool of yourself”

Writes the literate idiot that seems oh so familiar, I have known Kirby for too many years to count so why would I have to move on? Btw, when you are calling someone names, you should spell check; it really blows anything you had to say and makes you to be the obvious moron, LOL

@ Jerry, well it just seemed in print you were pointing out the contradiction of opinion and wanted KM to “take a side” that is a defensive posture and honestly seems a bit aggressive, plus you called bobnoxious a punk rock dude...
---
@Jenifer, demon screamers make the issues of EVP, ITC, Ouija, and anything else perceived as demonic calling very difficult to take seriously. Scientific study and proven theories will provide the only sure answers, all the rest is personal opinion and superstition. I do agree kids have no business being involved because they cannot distinguish reality from superstition and imagination.

Quote Jenifer: “Sundays that way you don't waste your time reading them and then waste your time replying when you have better things to do. I am a nobody”

I agree, but the fact is you do blog in public and viewpoints matter, so why the poor little me speech? If you do not want comments that disagree with you or question your motives, do not go public.

------
@ KM, best of luck to you and your family. I think you have all the answers you need; your last post is evidence of that. Very smart, the best cure is to keep it out of your life and do not entertain thoughts of paranormal or a demonic nature.

PS: want to see how it's done, the links are just a few of my and Michael O'Brien's blogs written here at the eye [we do like Kirby very much]

now clearly we dont run away or moderate comments do we and have landslides of success, I think it's time we write another article... *note to self, call Michael later* :D

KM thank you very much for the kind words I appreciate it and my aunt does need the prayers and I appreciate the prayers that you have always offered me. I'm enjoying very much being in remission. And like we've always discussed before the more attention people give things the more it fuels things and then you have people thinking everything is a demon around every corner when I believe 90% of things are either in their head or can be explained and it is a organic reason. You are always in my prayers for spiritual protection and good health. Always never miss your cancer screenings. Xo

It is funny how michone was reasonably polite to everybody but the author couldn't help but notice that. must be personal I completely disagree with everything this blog posting says but it wouldn't hurt to show the bloggers the same respect that they show you. hmmmm I wonder why it was so nasty and personal? people wonder why these bloggers can be so mean this is a very good example why. constantly bragging on how well you are in so good at getting a bunch of hits how many times are you going to brag on yourself that Heston dude was right you are extremely insecure. it gets old reading comments on each and every bloggers post that are nothing but bashing. just curious care to post a picture of what you look like? Lmfao!

Thank you KM for the kind words I appreciate your prayers for my aunt. And I always and again thank you for the prayers you only said for me I am enjoying being in remission it's a huge load off. It's still tough and very hard but there are people much much worse so I am very lucky. Like we've talked about before there's a lot of people to scream demon at every corner and I feel 90% of it is either influenced by the TV shows it's in their head or there is an organic reason and maybe 10% is actually a demonic case. And I know you appreciate my blog and I thank you for that. I know that not every single person dislikes them and if I was so horrible I wouldn't be here for a year. I write what people ask me to write about that they are unclear on and like to read different opinions on it whether it be biblical Catholic or what have you. I always make it very clear that is just my humble opinion and people interpret things differently and that is okay. You know how to reach me my friend I wanted to respond but yet again that same guy keeps deleting his comments and it's funny because it's directed at all of us but it any rate again you know how to reach me I hope you're doing well and your always in my prayers. You are a good person.

Nick holt? First, I would like to say it was very difficult to decipher your paragraph; my replies were in line with the tone of the responses and my own opinion. “Nick”, you remind me of a half-wit hanging around looking for a way to get back at those he feels scorned him. Yes, hiding under several different monikers because he is oh so butt-hurt and too big a coward to stand up to someone who whipped his scrawny bald ass, isn’t that right “Nick”…
now that’s funny, lol

Nick, you call it bragging because you cannot do it, I call it very successful accomplishments, the reporting we did speaks volumes about how to do it right.
A shining example of what hard work and moral guidelines can do.

Fact is, I have yet to see anyone top the names we brought much less match the over 200 comments and live action for days upon days leading to months, etc. I must also mention we brought the justice to those hurt and enjoyable interviews to those who were fans.
Therefore, you need a picture? In addition, why did you end it with “lmfao?” it's out of context.

Besides my picture is stunning “Nick” but my instincts tell me yours is not

Indeed there are dangers with this stuff

I dabbled with EVP 2 years ago for just 2 months

I started hearing voices just like as described with schizophrenia

I never heard voices in my whole life before I did EVP
