The Ghost Hunters ... A Time for Anger

By Reverend Mark Hunnemann

“Be angry and do not sin…” (Eph.4:26)

When I mention the TV show The Ghost Hunters, what thoughts or feelings does that show elicit in you? All things considered, I think anger is one of the most biblically appropriate. How quickly this bizarre new reality show back in 2004 has become old hat. Love it, hate it, or – worst of all for a Christian – be indifferent or dismissive. God forbid! Do we realize how electrifying these brushes with the supernatural are to millions of Americans who are hungry for spiritual reality? God forbid that I forget how I almost fell off the couch the first time I saw the show. God forbid that we ever become accustomed to what is profoundly disturbing, wrong, and cruel. Let me illustrate this insidious evil, and the need for righteous indignation, as well as confrontation.

Recently a new season, without Grant, began. Jay and crew went to Charleston to investigate the Old Jail. People, especially women, were being scratched on the tours, and the clients wanted to know who or what was behind the attacks, and if it was safe to stay open for business. During the investigation a young woman on the TV production crew, Hagar, was scratched repeatedly all over her body by the unseen presence, and she was understandably unnerved. Later during the reveal, Jay said that it was the worst attack in the eight years of the show. (It emphasizes in an unusually vivid fashion, the subjective and capricious nature of “ghost hunting” and the ensuing harmful consequences.) Jay got a triple scratch on his neck, as well. I just shook my head when Adam told the ghost (demon) to please leave her alone. At the reveal, Jay spoke candidly about Hagar, and it seemed he was actually going to be real for once regarding the danger. How could he not, given what had just happened? However, as if on cue, Amy pipes in, “No need to be worried . . . just make certain your visitors treat the ghosts with respect, and they will show respect back.” Yeeaaahhh! Another victory for the TAPS gang in putting a client at ease!

These people need to take a class on logic or critical thinking, because there is a glaring disconnect between Jay’s observations and Amy’s advice . . . which I’m quite sure was scripted. Hagar was simply walking through, as a tourist might, and she was attacked. Jay and Amy HAD to have discussed beforehand who was going to say what, and that is what angers me because their advice was foolish to the point of being cruel. At least before the arrival of TAPS, the client had the good sense to be concerned for his patrons, but now he lives with naïve optimism for their safety based on foolish advice. Also, at the reveal, Jay stated that many of these human spirits were deranged, based on their mental condition when alive. How does a deranged spirit suddenly acquire the ability to respond appropriately, even if treated with respect? I confess, I wanted to drop Jay after the reveal. That kind of anger is wrong, but certainly we should be angry about this show, and its many spin offs, because it is so thoroughly dishonoring to God, as well as harmful to everyone involved. The text in Ephesians 4:26 tells us to be righteously angry at the appropriate time (be angry and not sin).

If a medical doctor showed such recklessness they would be sued in a heartbeat for malpractice, as would a pest control professional if they gave similar advice. Those who believe in earthbound spirits cannot avoid giving an inaccurate diagnosis of the problem, as well as harmful advice. It has already occurred to tens of thousands of clients . . . all of whom are now living “comfortably” with demonic spirits.

As terrible as the temporal consequences are of Jay and Amy’s advice (folks getting scratched), think of the clients and the millions of viewers who saw this, and how their eternal destinies are being jeopardized? You may really dislike the show, but if you are a Christian you must not be indifferent, forgetful, or dismissive of this demonic madhouse.

Ghost Hunters symbolizes a water-shed issue for evangelical Christians regarding our belief in the inerrancy of the Bible. According to Webster’s Dictionary a watershed is “a dividing ridge between two drainage areas.” On this ridge, rain that falls on one side of the divide goes in one direction, and rain that hits just a few inches away, goes in an entirely different direction.  What good is it to claim to believe in the inspiration and inerrancy of the Bible, if we are not actively confronting this horrible deception of Satan? Confronting evil in all its manifestations in our culture (especially the most serious), is a watershed issue dividing evangelicals today, as Francis Schaeffer points out in The Great Evangelical Disaster.

The belief in earthbound spirits is so coercive and hostile to every doctrine in the Bible, that it is mis-shaping people’s worldviews on a massive scale. That is why it has become a litmus test for our belief in, and submission to, the authority of the Bible—a watershed issue. To say you are a follower of Christ, but believe in ghosts, means one of two things: you are either abysmally ignorant of the Bible, or you simply are not a Christian. Furthermore, professed Christians who know these spirits are really demonic, but are not confronting this issue, are accommodating this demonic deception . . . which makes you no different than those who embrace it. It has the same effect – it assists in the spread of the kingdom of darkness. I am tired of the lying heretics who carry the banner of evangelical Christianity, but who deny the authority of the Bible, by spreading a serious demonic lie. Some errors in belief are so coercive; they have titanic ramifications that ripple out to eternity.

Certainly we must confront in love, but we must confront . . . confront what Ghost Hunters has helped to popularize – the belief in ghosts. With each passing day, ever larger numbers of people are falling prey to this doctrine of demons. It is costly to confront . . . you will notice certain friends on Facebook either drift or run away from your “fanaticism.” But true believers seek to please God and not man, and when the Lord is dishonored they get righteously angry. This is a watershed issue . . . which side of the divide are you on?

Issue 88 Para-Celebrities Gone Wild!

By Kirby Robinson

"Girls Gone Wild" has nothing on these para-celebrities! We take a tongue in cheek look at para-celebs doing what they do best--behaving badly, or causing us to say that we got big boobs as those in "Girls Gone Wild" and para-celebs will show their behinds. Oh, and we don't have to give them a t-shirt to get them to do so!

As an added bonus, we'll dedicate a song as a sign of our appreciation for behaving so badly and going so wild as to make our list!

Will Scoville Needs To Get His Facts Right

Will Scoville, host of Voices of the Unknown, a Blog Talk radio show, is also a sometime actor and paranormal investigator. Due to a 'Ladies of the Paranormal' calendar he has been behind, he claims some of the profits will go to charity. Dude why not give it all to charity? And stop claiming you're the most hated man in the paranormal. That title belongs to none other than this author as we're always asking questions that the paranormal entertainment industry never wants answered. We dig up stories they want to remain buried. We are cursed more everyday within the paranormal and we know of more than one dartboard with our name on it. Due to taking a stance against Muslim lies we're now are hated with in the Middle East. So, Mr. Scoville, you don't own that title.

And your song is:

Chip Coffey Uses 9/11 To Sell His Products/Services

9/11 will always bring tears to our eyes as the importance of that date won't leave us anytime soon. But it seems that has already happened in the mind of Chip Coffey. If one would have been on his site that day, you would have noticed that his normal banner was replaced by one calling for remembrance. He posted a few nice words to remind us of the ones who died that day. But lo and behold, what pops up? A post hawking his services, followed by more 9/11 posts. It didn't stop on the end of the 11th. The next day he posted a shot of the New York skyline featuring the Tribute in Light, followed by the always cheesy "for those who have asked" slogan which means I need business, but don't want to admit it, so I slip it past you like this.

This isn't the first time Mr. Coffey has cashed in on 9/11. He used a trip to the sacred ground of the Twin Towers to peddle his services

His behaving badly earned him this song:

What's Happening Around Father Andrew Calder?

Last week Facebook readers were informed that Father Calder had been give 24 hours to live. Like so many others we pasted it on our page and asked for collective prayers for the man. He may have appeared on the most faked of all paranormal reality shows of all time Paranormal State. [One case, "I AM SIX" was totally faked; the other, "Devil in Syracuse" was real]. Then we started to notice some odd posts showing up on his Facebook page.

PLEASEDO NOT SEND EMAILSHello;
I am Evie and I have been maintaining Andy's FB account since February 2011.  Please do not send him emails.
If you are in need of spiritual assistance I must tell you that with heartfelt disappointment I cannot recommend anyone to you at this time. I am deeply sorry. If the situation changes I shall update this Note, so feel free to check back to this Page. Otherwise, do not surrender: Continue your search for assistance and answers.Continue Reading ...

NOT ACCEPTING NEW FRIENDSHello;
My name is Evie.  Andy has been in a medical facility 24/7 since May 5, 2011.  I have been maintaining his FB account since March 2011.  I do not feel comfortable accepting friend fdc, requests on his behalf from persons I do not know.
I hope you can understand.Continue Reading ...

If a loved one of mine was given 24 hours to live I doubt I would be worried about emails or friend requests, both of which can be turned off by a person who has a Facebook page.
Yet more odd posts kept popping up on Facebook. Here is one on Chip Coffey's page:

"Hey Chip. I have a favor to ask. Could you ask your friends & fans to send positive love, light, energy, protection & prayer to Andy during today's broadcast of the 2 PS episodes he's in? Please pray for God' Will to be done.
Thank you!"

Again if a loved one is on their deathbed, would you follow TV Guide to know if Father Calder's old episodes are airing?

[Some have said that wasn't from Evie but from Chip as he also was featured in those episodes].

So we have to send this one out put you trust in Jesus and let go of Facebook and your TV Guide.

The Dead Files—Sold Out to the Almighty Dollar?

When The Dead Files came out sometime ago I wasn't that upset with it. But as more and more emails flooded my inbox asking me to take an in depth look into the show, I've got to say that something seems rotten in Denmark.

I tried to watch an episode the other night that dealt with the Lizzie Borden case. I only saw a few minutes as that was enough. Ms. Allen, who appeared not to have washed her hair in days, put on a performance worthy of 10 rotten apples, 20 bad tomatoes and a chorus of boos. When time permits we'll take a long look at the show. Hey, maybe we should do a book--who knows?

But the show and Ms. Allen are behaving badly and her song is:

And two more…

A shout out to all the members of the ever-growing list of child abusers [sexual and physical] and wife beaters, that we and others are uncovering. Why are they allowed in the field? Do the paranormal groups they belong to inform clients of this? Do they work around kids? They are not welcome here and should be a part of a different group …

It seems that Father Jim [former go-to priest on Paranormal State until sex texts came to light] is now renting a room from Lorraine Warren. The pair seems to have time on their hands and are demon hunting together

It's a good thing that cameras are not in tow and nothing in the way of money is asked for from the client. But it seems that if one blessing doesn't do the job the clients are left out in the cold which makes us ask, SAY WHAT?

Their song is:

As long as they misbehave, as long as they act out, as long as try to sneak things past the public we'll be reporting on them…

The Dalai Lama Visits Hawaii!

His Holiness the Dalai Lama's visit to Hawai'i in April 2012 marked the launch of Hawai'i Community Foundation's new initiative, "Pillars of Peace Hawai'i: Building Peace on a Foundation of Aloha."

From poems about peace written by fourth graders at Lanai High and Elementary School, Matt Glickstein was inspired to compose "Singing to the World," which the Class of 2020 performs here in honor of the Dalai Lama's visit.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama tours Bishop Museum’s collection of natural and cultural artifacts.  At Iolani Palace, the official residence of Hawaii’s monarchy, he learns more about the history of the Hawaiian people, including the peaceful and powerful response of Queen Liliuokalani, which helped to shape Hawaiian values.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama tells an enthusiastic crowd of nearly 9,000 Hawaii high school and college students that “We are just one big human family.” His messages about peace deeply resonate with the audience of students. Some of them share their reflections about wanting to bring more compassion into their own lives and use their education to help others.

In honor of His Holiness the Dalai Lama—one of Jake Shimabukuro’s heroes—and inspired by the notion of “playing with less,” the ukulele virtuoso dedicates a new song using only three strings. The message by the Dalai Lama about the importance of happiness is one that particularly resonates with Jake. “To me, once you figure out how to be happy in the moment, you don’t long to be somewhere else.”

To an audience of 9,000 attendees completely riveted by what he had to say and how he said it, His Holiness the Dalai Lama speaks about the value of looking at a situation from more than one angle, the importance of dialogue, the meaning of aloha, and the power of a smile.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama conducts a blessing of the earth and a consecration of Hokulea and her World Wide Voyage. Amid traditional Hawaiian chants and ceremonies at an ancient and sacred site, the occasion is captured with powerful symbolism and personal moments. Moderator John De Fries connects the call by His Holiness for “universal responsibility” with the responsibility of those in Hawaii to care for the islands.

Kailua High School is recognized for its programs on compassion, conflict resolution, and nonviolence. The Dalai Lama speaks to students about creating a happier world through wisdom and warm-heartedness.

Through the Dalai Lama’s visit, Pillars of Peace aims to inspire people in Hawaii to think about the role of peace and compassion in their daily lives and to inspire people outside the islands to learn from Hawaii’s example of tolerance and diversity.

The visit is part of a new initiative called Pillars of Peace Hawaii, which is sponsored by the Hawaii Community Foundation through a lead grant from the Omidyar Ohana Fund and other funders. The Dalai Lama’s visit is sponsored by the Foundation and its partners as well as by hosts Pierre and Pam Omidyar.

Many thanks to the lovely Pillars of Peace Hawai'i website
Make sure you look at the wonderful slideshow for photos of The Dalai Lama and of the beautiful people and stunning surroundings! Here is a link to photos from the Earth Blessing and Consecration of the Hokulea

Bash the Muslims--Go to Jail; Bash the Christians--Get Rewarded

By Kirby Robinson

You can walk any spiritual path you desire, as you have the free will to do so. You can serve the spiritual master you choose, have faith in any eternal reward you wish, and read whatever holy book you want--because that’s your freedom.

What you don't have a right to do is lie to others about what the spiritual path has to say about something. Nor do you have the right to go on the warpath when someone questions your path and the creator of your spiritual path. You have no right to twist the Savior, Our Lord Jesus Christ, into something or someone He is not. When that takes place, the creator of that path isn't getting a message from the GOD above all other GODS. That message is straight from the father of lies, the serpent of old.

Most of you have heard and seen the news out of the Middle East concerning the uprising and riots conducted by people in various Arabic nations over an anti-Islamic movie that was on the Internet. Buildings were burned, compounds stormed, and four Americans were killed over a movie that was critical of the Muslim faith.

Yes, you have the right to freedom of religion and people have the right to challenge that religion – it's called freedom of speech. This freedom is practiced everyday when it comes to the question faith. We constantly see our Bible spit on, its messages misinterpreted, whether Old Testament or New. The Bible is made fun of, and we can't engage in public displays of prayers in schools or on public property. Our Savior is ripped from the cross on a daily basis, yet do you see Christians gathering in a mob storming buildings, burning property and killing people?

Is there now an unspoken rule to not defame the Muslim faith? Yet it's fair game to defame the Christian faith? Yes, there is. The liberal media, the new age movement, the anti-Christian groups and the forces of the antichrist try to keep it from public view or discussion.

I'm so tired of the distortions by the Muslim faith when they try to placate us by saying: "WE RESPECT JESUS HE IS A PROPHET!" And everyone is to feel good. Because they are partially correct, Jesus is a Prophet—but He's so much more—he's a Savior. However, the Muslims don't tell you their other beliefs:

1 Jesus is not the Son of GOD.

2 They don't think He was without sin.

3 His name won't get you into heaven.

4 He didn't die on the cross, descend into hell, nor did he rise at the end of the three days, ascend into heaven and sit by GOD in heaven.

5 Their Prophet Mohammad never has done the following: raised the dead, healed a sick person, cast out demons, made food to feed the hungry, walk on water, or do any of the things that our Lord and Savior has done and still today does in the spirit.

6 Ask them how to get into heaven? Is it by Grace or is it by The Law? And ask them is it the same heaven as the Christians envision?

7 They never speak that why does the Muslim faith exist? It's because their GOD [which is a lesser GOD] claims the Jews got it all messed up, so GOD started the Christian faith. And Christians also messed it up, so now the third time with the Muslims He got it right.

8 They say Christ will return to earth--not to offer peace--but to kill Jews and bring the world to the Muslim faith.

You never hear or read about those things, do you?

The public is told that the Muslim faith is one of peace, not war. The Muslim sects in this nation only want peace and don't stand behind what is going on in the Middle East. Yet we never see the Muslim leaders gather their followers and go to the nations of Afghanistan, Pakistan or even Iran and tell them to stop the war, do we?

If you’re a non-Muslim try to visit Mecca and see if you can get in. And, in many Middle Eastern nations they have religious police who hunt down anyone with non-Muslim feelings.
Check out this article:

If any representative from Christian church even talks about such laws, people would protest, churches would be burned, and leadership jailed.

For years when I was asked if the Muslim faith was the one world religion that we must endure in the End Times I used to say no. Yet the more I see and learn, it just might be. You have to remember it's an antichrist religion. It removes Christ from the cross, promotes a false prophet, a false god, and a false heaven in its place. Does that sound familiar?

What next? There will be laws proposed to outlaw criticisms of a religion as CNN called for last week. In some way, the Christian faith will be blamed. It's already happened when a talking head from MSNBC informed the viewers that the man behind the controversial anti-Muslim movie was Christian. This newscaster said it with a smile. The forces of darkness gather but no worry our GOD [the dude who is Most High] has our back and I keep reminding myself on the last page the devils lose and GOD wins.

[The above is not meant to imply that all Muslims hearts are filled with bloodlust and hate for the Jews, Christians and Hindus. The sect of Sufism within the faith teaches peace].

Red Flags and the Sixth Sense

By Bridgette O’Hare

Matthew 7:15, Jesus tells us "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."

Intuition.  Instincts.  Perception.  Insight.  Sensitivity.

Or maybe you like to refer to them as “Red Flags.”

Yes, they are metaphorical.  But we have all “seen” them flying high at some time or another.  I was browsing the internet just this afternoon when a parade of red flags began waving across my computer screen.  I won’t mention the exact name of the site because I haven’t had the chance to research it.  My instinct, however, is to not trust a site to be grounded in God’s inerrant Word that combines the term “Christian” with “Spiritualism” and contains a “Zodiac Messages” page.

Websites aren’t the only place these red flags are flying.  They are soaring all around us every day.  I’ve read articles by Christians and Pastors alike claiming the name of Jesus only to unnervingly lead into their “enlightened” teaching concerning Jesus, sin, and the unseen powers that surround us every day.  I’ve been discovering this at a disturbing rate among “Christian” Demonologists that I have encountered lately in my research.  If you are claiming to be a Christian Demonologist and claiming that there are spirits roaming this Earth that are not demons...then your self-proclaimed title itself is no more than an oxymoron.  I, for one, am sick of the lying heretics who have embraced their New Age brand of self-serving Christianity.  My instincts shift into overdrive at the first mention of ghosts and earthbound spirits and I trust my instincts...my Sixth Sense.

This Sixth Sense is a God given gift because I know that I know that I know I am covered in the holy blood that Jesus willingly offered for me on Calvary.  It’s real.  Every believer who is truly born into the family of God has it and should be using it and trusting it.  As true Christians we are expected to be on watch for false prophets.  John warned us of these counterfeit Christians in I John.

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit but test the spirits to see if they are of God, since many false prophets have gone out into the world.” ~ 1 John 4:1

One of the aspects he points out again and again states that these fake Christians don’t have a true knowledge of Jesus.  A true knowledge knows that God’s infallible Word renounces the existence of earthbound spirits.  Demons have a true knowledge of God’s Word.  (James 2:19, Luke 4:41)  They’ve been exposed to it first hand and they use it in every way they can to deceive humankind.  God gave us this spiritual gift of a Sixth Sense to use in awareness of their deceit.

I’ve noticed though, that so many people misconstrue the spiritual gifts God offers to his children.  Please understand, we are all gifted in some way.  However, we don’t choose our gifts and often times we tend to claim gifts that are not truly ours to claim.  This has become more apparent to me recently as I have become increasingly involved in my research into the supernatural realm.  It seems that as a society we are so fascinated by the paranormal many of us want to declare some deeper association with it.  What isn’t often considered, and is seldom recognized, is the danger that is connected with declaring such an association.  False spirits manifesting through false gifts give their users a false sense of reality.  A false sense of what your gifts really are can create an open door for demonic activity in your life.  As I mentioned before, demons perform effortlessly in the realm of deceit.  When you open a door, they will not just walk through it; they will run like there’s no tomorrow!  Claiming a gift that is directly related to demonic activity is just like sending a demon a balloon filled invitation to join the party.  If you weren’t on their radar before, you quickly become a bright, blinking dot on their monitor.  Suddenly, you are experiencing “symptoms” that you want to believe are related to recognizing demonic activity when what you are truly experiencing are the symptoms of demonic attachment.

Being able to distinguish a true spiritual gift from a false one is tricky when you want to believe you are gifted with sensitivity to the supernatural realm.  There are ways to determine if you truly have a gift for discerning activity, but first let’s differentiate between the two.  Spiritual discernment or wisdom regarding spiritual matters is not the same as discerning actual and literal demonic activity.  Spiritual discernment is sound judgment but sensitivity is the ability to detect actual demons, their disposition and temperament.

Before a person with the gift of sensitivity begins to identify the forces of evil, they will first see the positive side of their gift.  It brings them closer to the Holy Spirit and they will see His hand at work where others are unaware, because the working of spiritual gifts is first and foremost the work of the Holy Spirit.  A true gift will be able to determine what is contrary to the Holy Spirit. The light of the Holy Spirit reveals the darkness of Satan...not the other way around.

It’s undeniable that false supernatural experiences are engineered by demonic design in order to confuse and bewilder.  Therefore the gift is used to determine what is false.  It would make sense that if someone can discern demonic activity, they also would be aware of angelic activity.  The reality that needs to be considered in all cases is that false teaching is used by Satan to divert people from the truth.  Considering that, a true gift would likely have access to activity from both sides of the supernatural realm.

Above everything, spiritual reality is needed in the real fight against Satan’s kingdom.  All gifts from God are aspects of the grace of Christ and His power.  You see yourself as a frontline warrior involved in a great spiritual warfare and enlightened and equipped by the Holy Spirit while others are sleeping in a spiritual stupor.  And while we are all warriors in the spiritual warfare that surrounds us, we aren’t all equipped to be on the front lines.

Cleansings—Personal Deliverance Ministry Standards of Conduct

By Stephen Piersall, Deliverance Ministry Consultant, Central New York

When you open your door to have a Priest/Pastor/Demonologist/Deliverance Ministry representative come in to your home you want to make sure they are authentic and you might want to question them to make sure they are right with God and you do not have a Para-Celeb showing up just going through the motions. Much damage can occur because of improper behavior or not being a good representation for God. Since they will be coming to get some background info on yourselves, you should consider the following to make sure your bringing in the right team for the job.

Is this just your typical local ghost investigation team with all kinds of equipment and want to be in your home throughout the night asking, “Is there anyone here tonight?” and will leave you and get back with you in a matter of days or weeks? “DANGER Will Robinson!” You want someone there NOW, to help you through this uncertain time. Will these people maintain strict confidentiality? After all, they will be roaming your home and see things in your home you may not want anyone else to know.

You are granting them permission to come into your home; do you want them to conduct this interview/investigation at night or during the day? Nighttime is Satan’s playtime. In addition, the risk of injury or damage to your personal property can and will happen. BTW since the Demonic are master of disguise’s, they might want to play or most likely sit back and just watch the team and make noises that only the equipment can hear. However, when the team leaves, any demonic presence can and will escalate. Are they leaving your residence and never prayed before, during, and afterwards with you? Was anyone with this team really concerned for you and your family’s well-being and ended the night with some sort of plan for resolution?

These are just a few ideas to keep in mind when you open the idea of investigators coming to your home. Signing a consent form, confidentiality agreement and a Deliverance Background questionnaire is agreeable with me. Nevertheless, more than the paperwork, I would bring my Bible. I would want to talk with you and pray that the Holy Spirit reveal to you any Strongholds (Legal Right) the demonic has over you. Anybody can do a cleansing, but only you can come clean with the sins in your life, ask God for forgiveness, and repent. Sure Satan’s demonic prowess will still tempt you but use the power of God to bind them and cast them out of your life. We will talk next time about strongholds (legal rights) regarding specific sins.

I leave this with you to seek the Lord’s forgiveness and wisdom. Pray every morning to start your day and evening to end your day. Our country needs help and with the elections coming up, pray that the United States of America Blesses God!

The Dead Files--When It Is Too Good To Be True...

By Reverend Mark Hunnemann

Unlike many other TV shows about investigating the supernatural, I have some respect for Amy Allan and Steve DeSchavi on The Dead Files (clever double entendre). He is a former NYPD homicide detective, so he brings investigative competence to these cases. Steve does not ghost-hunt…he investigates. An acquaintance works closely with someone who knows Amy and vouches for her integrity (he is a Christian but was born with same abilities as her). Amy was born with the ability to see the supernatural realm. Yep, that is pretty incredible, huh? I believe she is being honest in the reporting of her perceptions. They are quite an impressive duo. (Matt, the cleaner, is her husband). I am sure some will disagree with me, but this show is the best in its genre—and for that reason, sadly, it is also the worst. Let me explain. But before I do, let me say this: these TV programs have become so common-place that it is easy to become jaded and overlook what a profound effect they are having on our culture, even if we ourselves possibly dismiss them as hagwash. It is our biblical mandate to be aware of how the spirit of the age is effecting our generation and confront it in love. (see Kirby’s excellent books).

There is the well-known saying, “If it’s too good to be true, it probably is”…  unfortunately, it pertains to this show. If you have seen it, then you know Steve and Amy work independently, and come together at the end to reveal and advise the clients. What troubles me is that Amy is amazingly accurate every time…layers of history and specific people/events are corroborated by Steve’s detailed documentation. Their different styles are like mirror opposites.  The producers utilize the technique that flashes back-and-forth between the two; the evidence Steve uncovers is then perfectly mirrored in what Amy sees on her walk-through. For example, the camera shows him uncovering evidence of a father killing himself and his son by running a pipe from the exhaust into the car, in their garage, during the 1960’s. That is immediately followed by a flash of Amy seeing, feeling, and hearing virtually verbatim what Steve had just documented. The result: a very effective deception in making ghosts the only plausible explanation of the facts.

It is stunning to watch, and seemingly irrefutable evidence of the accuracy of her perception of human spirits.. Steve said he had struggled believing in an afterlife due to all the evil he had seen as a homicide detective, but that Amy had given him hope in the afterlife. However, this afterlife is simply contingent upon dying. No judgment or need for religion. Instead of justification by faith alone, it has become justification by death alone—all you have to do is die and you have eternal life. This insidious lie is accelerating millions of dear folks eternal damnation.  Many  are blown away by their incredible collaboration, and find themselves becoming “believers”.  The Morton Report had an interesting interview with the two. Of the 71 comments, only one was negative and the rest were strongly supportive, if not in awe. In other words, this show is extremely persuasive….frightenlngly so. I am astonished at the brilliance of the filthy spirits who choreograph this intricate deception.

The issue is this:  she is not accurately identifying what she perceives. She herself states on every show that ghosts present themselves the way they want to be perceived. If she believes dead people can do that, then why does she not make the angel of light connection? If Satan, the Prince of Darkness, can become the opposite of what he actually is, then appearing as a deceased human would be a snap. Like everyone else on supernatural TV, she has her own form of demonaphobia. To be accurate, it may not be due to actual fear of demons, but for some reason she rarely fingers demons as the culprits. This shows a terrible blind spot or naiveté’ on her part regarding the abilities of the demonic to deceive even her. But since the bible is not her guide, then her autonomous reason is all she has to fall back on—which leaves her unequipped to identify supernatural evil. Only believers can have the true gift of discernment, which distinguishes between holy and unholy spirits.

For honest seekers of truth, the strength of the show should be seen as it’s Achilles heel…she is always incredibly spot-on regarding a mountain of details. I’ve even heard Amy say that, if a medium is always accurate on all the details, then you have to wonder where they are getting their information. Well said but look in the mirror, Amy! In another interview she admitted that she was scared before each reveal, but is then blown away by the extraordinary correlation between her perceptions and Steve’s evidence….seemingly intimating that this show has been unusually accurate for even her. The problem is that both she and the audience are absolutely sold on the demonic deception due to the amazing validation of a boat load of historical detail….too amazing. Put simply, Amy is too good…too accurate—I have watched every episode and she has NEVER made a mistake. (Satan is counting on folks not making the observation and connection). But God has ORDERED us to become aware of how Satan/demons scheme. The sketches of what she sees are always met with a corresponding snapshot Steve dug up, or the clients recognize the sketch as the apparition they have been seeing. Lest I be misunderstood, Steve is equally under demonic influence—making sure he sees the right article or person and so on. If what he discovers in his investigation does not line up with what the demons are presenting to Amy, then the unholy spirits know Satan will hammer them for botching his deception scheme. On the one hand, they are people with integrity, but on the other hand, there has to be a comprehensive network of demons working in concert to make this show work. It is the only satisfactory answer or explanation of the facts.

We need to keep two things in mind regarding demons: their psychic superiority, and expert knowledge of the past. Regarding the past, the demonic have been here for eons and they have encyclopedic knowledge of the past. If Satan didn’t incorporate historical detail, he would be foolish for squandering a golden opportunity to use their skills. In other words, this kind of deception is precisely what one would expect—given what we know about the demonic. Those who believe in ghosts often don’t even think about these issues….many are too obsessed with finding the historical connection in their own cases to reflect and think outside of their matrix-reality box.

If demons are real, then who is going to have mastery over the psychic airwaves? The answer to that question has far reaching consequences. They are spiritual beings, so psychic communication is their mother tongue, and they have been practicing it for a long time. It does not matter how talented Amy is, she cannot hold a candle to the feeblest demon when it comes to psychic communication. They are the masters here…she is but an infant. In the supernatural realm they can communicate messages to her which ostensibly come from deceased humans. She is putty in their hands…especially since she seems to barely recognize their existence and nature. Satan knows these shows are key to his strategy, so he slyly guided the whole process of producing this show. The Evil One has a vested interest in ensuring that The Dead Files is simply amazing…and it is. BUT the sovereign Lord is on His throne!
