The Karma of the Casey Anthony Case ~ Special Edition

Many will think it's a simple matter that Casey will gather negative karma for killing her daughter, Caylee. Well, it's not that simple. The gathering of karmic debt that will have to be repaid in this life and future lives doesn't rest on that one action. Everyone who played a role in the matter will be adding or taking away from their karmic debts. Here is a list of those who were involved with the case and karma they gathered.

CAYLEE ANTHONY
She will gather good karma for she was a victim of an act of anger that she can't be held accountable for creating due to her young age.

CASEY ANTHONY
She will gather no good karma. All of her actions will produce negative karma for years and future lives.
A. The act of planning the death of her child will produce negative karma.
B. For the act of killing her child she will gather negative karma.
C. Casey's happiness that she experienced after killing her daughter will produce negative karma.
D. Any emotional, physical and mental suffering that has been produced from the act of killing Caylee that was and is experienced by anyone, no matter if relative, friend, or stranger results in negative karma for Casey.
E. Caylee was unable to live out her life. She didn't get to have a career/existence in which she could have possibly done lots of good for the others. If this is true, then all the suffering created because she can't do that good will produce bad karma for Casey.
F. Even if Caylee was heading down the same path as Casey, that of someone who longed for instant gratification and happiness in sex, drugs, boozing and partying, Casey's killing of Caylee prevented her from that lifestyle. Ultimately negative karma as Caylee must go through the trauma of being reborn and experiencing this is delayed as is her enlightenment.
G. If Casey inspires others to kill their kids because she got away with it that will produce negative karma.
H. All the victims of the lies that Casey told will reap good karma but Casey will gather negative karma for the suffering those lies caused.

CASEY'S PARENT'S [GEORGE & CINDY]
They will gather good karma due to the suffering that Casey caused.
The perjury that Cindy committed in order to save her daughter will create negative karma no matter what the intention.

THE DEFENSE TEAM [JOSE BAEZ, CHENEY MASON, DOROTHY CLAY SIMS, ET AL]
They will gather negative karma for all suffering caused by what they presented and said in their case which was not true.
If Casey kills again they will collect negative karma for allowing her to walk free.

CASEY'S BROTHER [LEE]
Good karma for all his efforts in trying to find Caylee's killer.
If it's true that he molested Casey then negative karma will come from that.

THE JURY
A. For allowing a killer to walk -- negative karma.
B.  If Casey kills again -- negative karma.
C. If they seek fame and money for allowing a killer to go free that's considered negative karma.

THE JUDGE [BELVIN PERRY]
No karma at all he simply presided over the proceedings unless any of his rulings allowed Casey to be found guilty.

THE PROSECUTING TEAM [JEFF ASHTON, LINDA DRANE BURDICK, ET AL]
Good karma for doing their best to keep a killer off the streets.

THE MEDIA
Bad karma if they found joy in reporting on the killing because of high ratings.

ROY KRONK
Good karma for finding the body and trying to tell the police about it.

ZENAIDA GONZALEZ
Good karma for being a victim of Casey's lies.

The toll of karma will be impacting those involved for this lifetime and for all time to come. Karma is not swayed by excuses. As the Buddha says, Karma is infallible.

Back in 2008 I wrote a blog in four parts entitled The Justice of Karma. I've summarized it here.

Karma is one of the very few universal laws that reign over each and every one of us without exception. Christian, Muslim, Jewish, atheist, agnostic, etc., we are all going to reap what we sow, maybe not in this lifetime but in a future life here on earth or in one of the other realms. Karma is the law of action, and it is no respecter of any man or woman, paying no heed to looks, social or economic status. It watches over every move we make, keeps track, and dishes out rewards or punishments.

To understand the concept of karma we first must look at the Four Noble Truths. They make up what is the basis of all Buddhist teaching.

Noble Truth 1 – The truth of suffering. It focuses on two types of suffering. This is the suffering of sentient beings and the suffering of the environment.

Meditation on these two concepts of suffering helps us develop a drive to get out of cyclic existence, which is known as samsara. Samsara is Sanskrit for "continuous movement" which refers to our constant rebirths. When one meditates on this concept, they develop a mind of renunciation.

There are three types of suffering:
1 - The suffering of suffering, which is the process that we experience mentally, physically, and spiritually as we experience suffering. Think about this. How do you feel when you get mad? It's just not the anger that makes you feel bad. You feel bad because you feel this anger.

2 - The suffering of change. When things change we experience a form of suffering. For example, you want a Mercedes Benz, you work day and night to get it. Finally you've saved enough money and you buy that car. You pay for it and drive it off the lot. Suddenly it's not a new car. It's getting older by the minute. You have to worry about maintenance, insurance, license plates, ever rising gas prices, and eventually it will have to be replaced. What happens if you get the Benz and it's not what you want? You go to work, think about all the money you're going to make that day, but by the end of the day you're bone tired. You go home, think you're going to relax, but the next day the cycle starts all over again.

3 - Pervasive Suffering. This arises from us having a physical body. And because we have a physical body we have what is called five aggregates. They are: form, feelings and emotions, discrimination [which is our perception of objects outside of us], compositional factors [our mind being directed towards objects], and consciousness. Consciousness is not our conscience telling us to do right or wrong; rather this consciousness is our awareness of the outside world and we develop this awareness through our senses of hearing, taste, touch, smell, sight, feeling, etc.

All forms of suffering that we experience and give rise to in this realm of existence comes from our interaction with the five aggregates. Here's an example. You're very thirsty and uncomfortable because of that thirst. You walk down the road and on the side you see a big icy bucket filled with bottles of root beer. You open a bottle and quickly drink that root beer, satisfying your thirst. Problem is, that root beer tastes so good you can't stop drinking it. So suddenly you go from being thirsty to being bloated. Somebody else comes along and they're thirsty too, but you say no this is my root beer and you run them off. While your back is turned, another person comes along and steals your remaining root beer. You give chase, but can't catch them. And now you're thirsty again.

Through our cyclic existence in this lifetime, in the human realm, and any life we have experienced in the past, or will experience in the future, we all go through four stages of cyclic existence. Going through these stages creates suffering as well. These stages are birth, sickness, aging, and death.

Noble Truth 2 – the origin of suffering. Suffering stems from two things: delusion and karma. In reality, delusion is the root of all suffering. Because you must have thinking or thought prior to any action. Now some may say, I breathe, that's action, but I don't think about it. In reality, you do, but it's simply that your mind is doing it without you realizing it.
Noble Truth 3 - The next truth is an end to suffering. And yes, this suffering can end, you can do it, I can do it, we all can do it.

How do we develop the third Noble Truth? By not only saying yes, I understand the first two truths but comprehending them and living them. If you do so, you develop certain characteristics that follow.
1.    Develop cessation – those things that matter to own or avoid simply fall away. You start to question desires, develop intelligence and understanding over ignorance and anger.
2.    Peace – you are at peace with the world, yourself, and your path.
3.    Benefit & pleasure – you begin to do things that bring benefit and pleasure to others without ever questioning what you should do.
4.    Definite arousal – you see that the first two Noble Truths are the foundation of suffering and you know that as hard as you try, in time you will slip and fall back into negative karma and you don't want to do this cyclic existence any longer.

Noble Truth 4
There is a path that leads us out of this existence and that the path was taught by the Buddha. It will lead us to enlightenment then to nirvana and finally we will be free of all suffering whether it is physical, spiritual, emotional, and other negative influences.

Will it be achieved in one or many lifetimes? It is not my place to say. Some say yes, it can, and there are many stories within the Tibetan Buddhist tradition that teaches that we can achieve enlightenment in one lifetime. The story of the Tibetan yogi Milarepa is a fine example. But to be honest, there are other stories about those intrepid travelers on the path who have taken hundreds, if not thousands of lifetimes, to get it right. Don't focus on the number of lifetimes it'll take to achieve enlightenment, focus on the fact that you can do it.

Issue 35 - The Chip Coffey Slam Dunk Edition

After putting to rest the credibility of Animal Planet's para-reality TV show, Demon Exorcist, we hoped we could start exposing fake demonologists. But we would be ignoring our duties as paranormal journalists to ignore breaking news within the field. Yes, we have more tall tales, distortion of the truth and a new fake para-reality TV show.

Another Smackdown to the Credibility of Paranormal State & Paranormal State: The New Class

Here's a post that was left on the "SAY NO TO PARANORMAL STATE: THE NEW CLASS" Facebook page.
"Keep in mind the same producers backed both shows and Chip Coffey was featured in them. We hoped that when Mr. Coffey parted ways with "Paranormal State" in the fourth season it was due to the fact he was tired of seeing evidence faked on the show…But apparently that wasn't the reason. "Is the New Class still up and running on A&E? I thought it aired once and failed lol! I remember my group was offered a contract to be the exact Paranormal State sequel but we declined due to the outright shitty contract and shady producers (legally claiming they had the right to fake evidence on the episodes, etc.). Pooh pooh! ;)" Samantha Harris
It's a shame that these producers couldn't hold themselves to the standards set by two recent para-reality shows that we have endorsed: Haunted Collector and Paranormal Challenge. Seems like some people never learn.

Is Chip Coffey Afraid of Casey Anthony?

Chip Coffey, who claims to be a psychic medium, posted this on his Facebook page:

"Some individuals continue to ask me to focus my psychic abilities on the Casey/Caylee Anthony case. PLEASE STOP! For legal, ethical and moral reasons, I do not consult on forensic cases unless specifically requested to do so by immediate family members and/or law enforcement.

Your understanding and consideration are sincerely appreciated."

Now this kinda bugs me as it has many others who have contacted me about the post. It really makes no sense. Here are six reasons:

1 Mr. Coffey, are you unaware that many psychics have contacted the Orlando Police Department and the Anthony family directly with information about the murder? How's that? They used their gifts. Granted, none of them have a para-reality show nor do they have a big name, and most never went public with the information they provided. But they helped and some of them even pinpointed the spot where Caylee's body was found.

2 What are the legal reasons that you couldn't offer to help? I personally have no knowledge of any law that prohibits a psychic from focusing his/her gift onto a matter. Please point it out to me and my readers.

3 Moral reasons? Well let's see -- Casey Anthony was found NOT GUILTY. [Please DON'T confuse this with being innocent in the matter of Caylee's death]. There could be a killer on the streets who might kill again. Would one who is so amazingly gifted as you claim to not have a moral responsibility to help get that killer off the street? What if they kill again? Do you not have a moral responsibility to help the public understand, as well as the family: the who, what, why, where and when?

4 Ethical reasons? Not sure who wrote the guidelines of ethical psychic behavior. But if one does have a gift, as you claim, one should use that gift. That gift shouldn't be dependent upon cameras and/or payment.

5 More than likely the truth is, Mr. Coffey, you have a fear of being wrong. After all, you failed my little test I gave you. And you even failed to realize that the air date for your show was going to be changed. You avoid making public [free!] predictions which anyone could examine your gifts and see if they are as real as you claim they are.

6 Other psychics have seen what happened and have come forward to share. I have some cases coming up in Orlando, and when I get there will share with the proper authorities what I picked up on as to who was part of Caylee's murder. Why not join me and help bring justice to Caylee? Remember, her birthday is August 9.

A Bitter Coffey He Will Be After Our Review of Celebrity Ghost Hunt A/K/A Ryan Buell's Calling Chip Coffey & He Wants Paranormal State Back!

Last month we received a copy of Celebrity Ghost Hunt and have been holding off our review until the public was forced to endure this rip-off of Paranormal State. Celebrity Ghost Hunt is on the Biography [BIO] channel and features Chip Coffey playing the dual roles of Ryan Buell and the go-to psychic. Guess this two for one deal saves the producers some buckeroos.

We kick the show off with Christopher Atkins a movie [The Blue Lagoon] and TV [Dallas] actor. We are never told that Chip has had a long time friendship with him. Why? Well, maybe to throw the viewer off to the fact that is how Chip knows so much about the land.

Many claims are made for the next few minutes as to paranormal activity but we see no real proof. In fact, none is seen throughout the 30-minute long segment.

Chip claims that a murder happened on the property and reenacts how it took place but does he inform the local police? Possibly the killer is still alive. And the victim's family would like to know what happened. We should contact the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Department in Midland, NC. [704] 888-0271. Ask if this information shared with them? If not, inform them of this situation.
If you read our book you will see that Chip also pulled this stunt during season 3's "Church of the Damned" episode.

Michelle Griffin arrives to help out but the viewer is never informed about the relationship that Chip and Michelle have. Is it possible that Chip passed on information to her?

We then experience the same Paranormal State shtick of knocking noises allegedly heard off camera and something happening, but we never see it or any shadow movement.

We are offered one EVP in which we allegedly hear: "Find the gold!" But is it?

The team descends into the mine and we have flickering lights and shadows in the dark.

A Native American medicine man, or elder, it's never clear who he is, does a blessing and all is well.

Have we all not seen this on Paranormal State over and over again?

The next case features Eric Roberts and his wife Eliza. Eric is a onetime 'A' lister [Runaway Train, The Dark Knight] that has fallen in the rankings. Seen in season 4 of Celebrity Rehab  With Dr. Drew, that show features various has-beens, oops, celebs, who use their own insurance policies to pay for rehab and get paid for it. [They complete 28 days in rehab and not the minimum of 30 days.]

Eric claims that one night he saw a ghost in the kitchen. He didn't see the ghost two or three times or every night but one single time. Eric didn't reveal if he was high or sober when this encounter took place. Trying to sell the story we're told that even a maid and the house man saw it. Do they speak to the viewer? Nope but we're assured they saw the ghost!

Chip shows up and does his walk through. What does he pick up? Listen closely and he reaches to point out that Eric sometimes knows what his wife is thinking. Is this uncommon for a couple that has been married since 1992?

Notice that while Chip, Eric and Eliza are upstairs it's broad daylight. When they return downstairs it's suddenly dark. Did they film events that take place on the second day during that time?

Chip asks Eric about things which were bad that happened to him at ages 12 to 14. Proof of Chip's psychic ability? Nope. Eric discussed these things on Celebrity Rehab.

Beth Brown is flown in from the East Coast. One wonders why in the city of Los Angeles [population of approximately 4 million] they couldn't find a paranormal investigator? Is it possible that Beth was in on things?

Notice that the video feed indicates a start time of: 22:59 00. This is going to be very important.

Chip sees a shadow move across a darkened room. The video feed says 23:10:58. Keep that in mind.

They bring out the Ovilus and it speaks many times. Listen to the sound of the voice.

When they do the evidence review notice that when the shadow is caught moving the time is 22:46. However, they didn't start until 22:59. Chip saw it at 23:10 so the shadow moved 24 minutes prior to Chip seeing it! Boy what a gift he has!

Listen to the EVP's. They sound so much like the voice from the Ovilus. The words are spoken in the same order.

When Eric sees a photo of this woman he initially says, "This could be her."

We end up with a show that's so much like Paranormal State it's not even funny. Or maybe it is! Because the style, content and deceptions aren't needed. You like the paycheck, Chip, but is this mockery of the paranormal field worth it?

R.I.P. DEMON EXORCIST CREDIBILTY

We were under the impression that we completed our investigation into Animal Planet's pilot reality TV show, Demon Exorcist. But it seems like those involved in the production of the show, along with the featured "stars" attempt to keep it the public eye. They're desperately trying to extend their 15 minutes of fame in the hope of selling at least a documentary. Maybe a book? Maybe a film deal? Due to all the deceptive statements and our ability to expose them, the likelihood of any such deal/s will soon be dead in the water.

Now we now can expose the biggest deception yet of the show and its supporters. Guess they've learned nothing from what Cindy Anthony did on the witness stand -- if you lie, you hope there is no proof to expose that lie.

A few weeks ago when it seemed that interest in Demon Exorcist was deservedly dying, the supporters of it hoped to stir the pot of controversy when they sent me this email:

Ok Kirby, since you won't give it up, here's a hint.. Look up Father Jack Ashcraft Then go back and read your articles about Dwayne not knowing what he's doing or having any power to do what he did.. Kinda funny huh? I'm respecting you by sending it in email and not calling you or Ron Tebo out in public because this totally shows that you and him did not do your homework. EVERYONE else did and has told me to let you guys continue to bash and look stupid. Yes, you and Ron have MANY enemies and have lost a lot of credibility because of the BS you guys write about. I can only hope that the next article you write about comes from you and not Ron Tebo and his OPINIONS in which he claims are facts, who obviously know's NOTHING.. Don't go down with him Kirby. You ARE a good writer, use your talent to do GOOD things instead of throwing shit against the wall to see what sticks.

All due respects,
Sarah

They will regret sending this email or bringing up Father Jack Ashcraft. They hoped to spread the lie that he was technical adviser to the program. Yes, he is listed as such. But it's another lie on the show's part. Fr. Ashcraft sent me a personal email and through his words the show and its supporters lose the last remaining bits of credibility. Here is his unedited email.

Mr. Robinson,
I hope this message finds you well. I was sent a link to your blog by one of your readers I suppose and wanted to help fill in some gaps for you regarding my part in consulting on "Demon Exorcist". The totality of my input was limited to two or three phone calls made to myself asking questions of theological import to preternatural issues. One call was a request for the name of a priest in the area they were currently filming in, which I provided. Other than this I had no other input or involvement in the project. I only just saw the program last night to be honest. While I can't go so far as to claim everything was faked (since I have no firsthand knowledge of the investigations), I will say that at least one of the clients' stories struck me as suspect. The myth of Satanic Ritualistic Abuse has been exposed many times over by very good investigative journalists (such as Bob and Gretchen Passatino), Christian and secular alike. Thus I viewed the claim of one client as fabrication, in my opinion. Again, I cannot say for certain since I have no firsthand knowledge of the client nor the investigation.

You also mention that I have aligned myself with many people you find suspect. I quite honestly do not align myself with anyone whatsoever, for many of the same reasons you highlight on your blog. I do answer questions and provide investigators with the names and contact information of priests in their areas who may be of assistance in a pastoral counseling and/or exorcism situation. I will help anyone who asks for help and provide legitimate knowledge and references to anyone who asks. Whether they availa themselves of the assistance is of course their choice. If this is aligning myself, then under this definition I will certainly plead guilty. I have been approached by a vast array of individuals (some well known, some not) in the paranormal community with a number of claims and have found no reason to believe any of them to have been legitimately demonic so far. I have been asked to perform exorcisms on radio and television, all of which I have refused to do. This area of ministry is not one which I believe belongs in front of the camera. My approach to the subject is wholly Christian and one which has not made me the darling of the paranormal world. I require full psychological and medical examinations of all claims brought to me before I will even speak to the issues involved in a case. Of course one must aslo investigate the living conditions of a client which may require testing for molds, etc. which can cause hallucinations, family dynamics, etc. I have so far not found a single case brought to me by the paranormal community to have any merit with reference to demonic activity. I have spoken at only one paranormal convention, and that just to deliver an address calling on the community to embrace the methods I briefly outlined above. I've been asked if I would like to be recommended for speaking engagements and have always said that it is not important to me whether I speak at an event or not. Please keep in mind that, though part of my sacerdotal ministry is exorcism, it is only a very small part of the totality of my ministry. Teaching the faith, administering the sacraments and being there to support people in difficulties forms the greater portion of my activity.

My opinion of the greater paranormal community is that it is seriously lacking in legitimate investigative methodologies, and that rather than seeking valid investigative principles, priests, ministers, etc., it is collectively star struck and chasing after the next fad or next paranormal star. I also would agree with you that perhaps the programs are staging events to maintain a viewership that might otherwise be bored with the seemingly mundane reality of preternatural research.

As for my column in the magazine; I write the only articles that I am aware of in the magazine that handle a wide variety of topics from a decidedly orthodox Christian point of view. I have written on such topics as Transhumanism, psychological Issues that could be mistaken for demonic activity, and recently interviewed a very knowledgeable scientist regarding Creation as a viable counter to atheistic evolutionary theory. My articles are not paranormal pulp I can assure you, and the greater part of the magazine isn't either. If you would like pdf copies of any of my articles I am happy to provide them to you.

I applaud your efforts to expose fraud and should you have any questions please feel free to contact me. May God bless you.

Pax Tecum,
Fr. Ashcraft +

Spiritual Warfare Basics

We're heading into the 4th of July weekend so go out and enjoy the long weekend. But don't forget to take a moment to reflect the reasons for the holiday.

Next week we return with a review of Chip Coffey's remake of Paranormal State, and the start of our series exposing all the fake demonologists out there.

Spiritual Warfare Basics
Copyright 2008-2011 By Kirby Robinson

When one is attacked by the dark side, and you will be attacked as it goes with walking the path of any faith, there are 4 facts that you need to keep in mind.

~ 1 God has defeated Satan, Lucifer and the devil along with their demonic forces. At some point they will remove them from our world during the final stages of the end times. Until then we must fight them knowing that victory is already ours.

~ 2 As followers of God we are no longer subject to the kingdom of darkness. We may live in this world but the world or kingdom that rules us is one of light, love and compassion.

~ 3 When we go into battle we must put on all the armor of God’s protection. How do we do this? A. We must be honest to God, others and to ourselves; B. Respond to the truth of God’s love by living a righteous life; C. We must study, apply and share God’s truths.

~ 4 The great majority of spiritual battles need not happen. We can stop it prior to it starting by always keeping God’s armor on our body, mind and spirit.

There will always be 5 specific times in our daily lives when we will be attacked. They are:

1) During times of spiritual growth.

2) When we invade the enemies territory.

3) When we expose the kingdom of darkness to the light.

4) When we start to walk in the light, our world of pain and sadness tries to pull us back in.

5) When we are learning and developing our gifts for the help of others.

When it comes to faith your faith has to be unshakable. You can’t stand up and say, “My God can do anything!” when times are easy, then say when the seas get a little rough, “Well, maybe he can’t do everything.” Rev Lester Summrall, a great and dear friend, used to say, “There is not one passage of the Bible that ever teaches us to be afraid at any time.” Your faith must be sure, strong, consistent and unwavering. Faith is something that we think about. The biggest battleground is in your mind and we all have monkey minds jumping here and there from branch to branch and tree to tree. We must stop all that jumping around and train the mind to be singly focused. How do we do this? In the Christian path, prayer is a great way. I’ve blogged about this in the past. But the more you pray the healthier the mind becomes. Not only praying for our needs, but the needs of others. Don’t just pray when we are asked to for others, but learn to sense the need and jump right in.

Now that we know what we can do to prepare for spiritual warfare for our lives when do we take part in it for others? The best thing to do is not automatically assume that someone needs an exorcism. That should always be the last thing for you to think about. Due to time restraints I can’t get into the subject of exorcisms. Please take a look at my past blogs on the subject. Most often if you will help the afflicted person become delivered from a negative state of mind or a sinful life style. You are helping to close the doors that the dark forces use to get inside. Doing this is so important for a couple of reasons:

~ You are helping others move towards the light.

~ You are increasing your own spiritual understanding and spiritual walk.

Issue 34 – Lightning, Lunacy & Psychics Make Bad Spiritual Teachers

Does lightning strike twice?

Guess it does! On the heels of our endorsement of John Zaffis' para-reality show "Haunted Collector" we do the same with the Travel Channel's new show "Paranormal Challenge". We aren't saying it's our cup of tea but we have no real issues with the show.

So for those who have said we never have anything good to say about paranormal shows [Paradacity are you reading this?] we hope you enjoy eating your words again.

Demon Exorcist – Lunacy & Publicity-Seeking Rages On
We have not blogged about "Demon Exorcist" for several weeks. Yes, we have new information [confidential files and copies of their so-called EVPS], but we want to focus on other things than debunking fake para-reality shows. Due to the large number of hits this blog gets every week and they just want to keep the flames burning, we weren't surprised that this showed up in our email:

"Ok Kirby, since you won't give it up, here's a hint..
All due respects,
Sarah"

1 Father Jack Ashcraft was an adviser to the show. Not sure what that means. It seems that Father Jack has aligned himself with many fake para-celebs and even writes for a rag that seems to feature one in each issue.
I tend to avoid saying negative things about men/woman of the cloth but it comes to a point that one does need to speak up.

Sarah, keep reading our blog. We aren't going to be talking about you or your show but will be exposing Dwayne and other fake exorcists. They can't do what they claim nor do they know what they are doing.

2 As in the case of our exposés of fake para-celebs and fake para-reality shows, no one has disproven any of our claims. So keep talking to the people who don't know what they are talking about.

3 Ron Tebo and I am not joined at the hip. We haven't ever talked on the phone or IM. In fact, we rarely exchange emails. Nice try but you're way off base.

4 We have enemies! Is that news to anyone?

5 Sarah, we will keep exposing the fakers because of all the harm they are doing.

If these fake para-celebs and all the para-celeb back scratchers speak ill of us then so be it. I sleep well at night and know God loves me. I wonder if they can make such claims.

Phone Psychics Make Bad Spiritual Teachers

We pointed out Mr. Coffey's claims about how salvation comes about. His take: just being a "good" person. Living a "productive" life. God is not really God but just an entity that changes a mask to be God to many religions. According to Mr. Coffey, these are the keys to heaven.

And we are looking into the above issues.

What happens when a person claims to have a special gift? What if that gift is being a psychic? What if via that gift they gain a special knowledge and in turn share the wisdom [not for free] and gain followers? If people seek out that person who makes special claims and make spiritual path choices based on those claims, who is responsible? What if this gifted person is full of crap? What if they are merely spouting ideas gathered from other fake teachers? And if these followers make poor decisions that impact their spiritual life here on earth and on the other side… how does that impact the one with the special gifts? How does it affect everyone involved?

Next week we begin exposing these teachers, psychics, exorcists and demonologist for the fakes they are by
taking a look at the Gospels.

Issue 33 – Silly Psychics & Bad Karma

Sorry for the two-week absence. We had some cases that required our full attention, and we are now back and ready to take the blog in a new direction.

No Issues with Syfy's "Haunted Collector"

A few days ago I carefully viewed the new John Zaffis' para-reality program on Syfy, "Haunted Collector". It features John and his family helping clients who have paranormal issues that might stem from objects within their home. We have yet to find any issues with the show: no fake demons, no fake exorcisms. Another positive feature is that they show that ghost hunting doesn't have to be done at night time. So for all those who claim that we have nothing good to say about para-celebs and para-reality programs, you might enjoy some hot sauce with your words while you eat them.

Silly Psychics

Jackie Tomlin, a self-proclaimed psychic and paranormal investigator, posted a recent blog about why she was upset with hosts of a Global Talk radio show who asked for payment from guests. Ms. Tomlin demanded to know why such a fee was required. She received this reply:

"No its not financial gain, its to keep the show on the air and this show has helped so many people, we have helped people even as far as stopping them from committing suicide. All of my guest have been more then happy to help the show, as they know how much the show helps people, they get to help when they are on and many listeners go them privately for help!"

This seemed to get under Jackie's skin as she posted this on her blog:

"Okay, were do I start here...
First of all psychics do not offer medical or legal advice.  To proclaim that you have assisted anyone from committing suicide is just wrong."

Say what? It seems that Ms. Tomlin has fallen into step with many of the self-proclaimed psychics that focus less on helping people and more on a profit and fame motive.

It's sad that these so-called psychics will take people's money to perform a reading and they claim to be able to have a gift of prophecy that spirits talk to them and can share information with them. Yet when it comes to legal and medical advice suddenly the spirits are mute and the gift shuts off.

When I was doing readings [I no longer accept new clients and only read for my longtime clients], no subject was off the table. I have full confidence in my gifts and what my spirits are telling me. To claim that no psychic has ever helped anyone who has had medical issues [whether mental or physical], or offered advice on legal matters is way past the border of silly land.

Bad Karma

We're done with poking holes into paranormal reality programming as we have completely debunked them. Continuing to do so would be overkill. We want to focus on the issue of how far off the paranormal field is when it comes to matters of the demonic and exorcisms. What constitutes a demonic haunting? When and how should an exorcism be performed? Who has and does not have spiritual authority to perform them?

I constantly ask myself how the paranormal field, led by fake para-celebs, took over the field of demonology from the various religious faiths who embrace the concept of demons and dark spirits and deliverance from them? How did they convince the public that they were the chosen masters? How are they considered authorities on the subject? Most people have only seen demonic imitations when they watch horror movies, and that includes those affiliated with the paranormal. In actuality, they know very little about the subject of demonology and few have the authority to perform exorcisms. It's one thing to be able to operate an EVP or other paranormal gadget, but quite another to assist in or perform an exorcism.

Why is this so important? It impacts the spiritual paths of hundreds, if not thousands of individuals who seek these people out. People who put their trust and faith into them. In turn, they are rewarded with crap and misinformation which not only impacts their lives now but their spiritual lives after death.

One example of this is Mr. Chip Coffey, the self-proclaimed psychic who now has decided that he speaks for God on matters of salvation and what God likes. In a recent post concerning the failed rapture predictions of May 21, 2011, Mr. Coffey stated that all you have to do to get into heaven was lead a “decent and productive life.” He added that God didn't care what religion one follows.

Really, Mr. Coffey, the concept that God is a God that changes masks to fit all religions of the world is one of the pillars of the New Age movement. Unfortunately it's a pillar of sand that collapses under any weight that is added. Don't forget that Mr. Coffey appeared in a few episodes of "Paranormal State" flinging Holy Water and calling on Jesus as he eagerly took part in exorcisms. Apparently it must have been done for show because the statements and beliefs that he expresses automatically nullifies such actions.

December 21, 2012 – “The 2012 Money Back Guarantee Challenge”

Ó 2008-2011
By Kirby Robinson

Due to being called on an emergency case, the blog I was planning to post will have to wait until next week. So today's blog is a repost.

I'm sure that most of you know about December 21, 2012 and all the speculation as to what will happen on that date. The dozens of books, thousands of web sites, and countless conferences where you can spend up to $200 hearing speaker after speaker pronouncing the forthcoming doomsday, are all warning us about some very big changes. After attending that seminar, you can visit the lobby filled with profiteering vendors offering every imaginable type of survival kit on earth, as well as survival kits that will prepare you to survive in the spiritual realm.

For those of you living under a rock, or watching the endless hours of the Casey Anthony Trial, I'll briefly catch you up on the whole controversy. On December 21, 2012, the Mayan calendar comes to an end, as well as numerous other religious cycles come to a conclusion. The planets align in a very peculiar manner and December 21st is Winter Solstice. Numerous psychics, scientists, and new agers, predict catastrophic changes, in not only the planet, but also the universe and throughout the spiritual realms. We also face a society that could break into chaos and bloodshed. Alarmed yet? So was I when my spirit guides showed me what will happen.

On the dreaded morning of December 21st, striking Australia first, the ocean waters will begin to rise, and as the water pulls away, the land bridge that at one time connected Australia and its nearby islands will begin to reemerge. When the land bridge thrusts out of the ocean, it reconnects to the Asian continent. The heaving and swelling tsunamis that embroil the Pacific Ocean casts boats, ships, ocean liners, and oil tankers into the air, and mass destruction will follow.

In China, there will be major earthquakes so strong that dams will break, cities will flood, and nuclear power plants will break open releasing toxic gas. The Chinese military assures the populace that the nation is under attack, and will launch missiles at both Japan and Russia, eliminating Japan off the face of the earth. As missiles rain down onto Eastern Russia, the problems will be compounded by large landmasses in Siberia breaking apart and massive steam vents erupting, which will melt the frozen tundra, causing massive flooding.

India will see colossal earthquakes and volcanoes rising out of the earth in a few seconds. Millions will die as mass rioting and stampedes of whole populations flee. The Middle East finally goes through an all out nuclear war. Israel and the Arab Nations will unleash a nuclear holocaust so great that the entire section of that area will be under a nuclear cloud. The Great Pyramids of Giza will turn to dust, and the mighty Sphinx will be no more. Earthquakes will work their way down to South Africa, unleashing locusts buried so long they are the size of eagles, and they begin attacking the population. Europe will pull apart from Asia and within hours smash into the British Isles. In the Americas, from the tip of Canada to the bottom of South America, it will be utter mayhem on a scale never before witnessed by mankind.

OK, folks, hang on a minute, I can't take it any longer. I must tell you the truth of what will happen on December 21, 2012...

No chaos will hit society in any form whatsoever. Nothing out of the natural will happen outside of normal every day events. People doing their Christmas shopping, going to work, playing in the snow, and living their lives. So please, for your sake, save your money. Say no to those overpriced doomsday books, pass on those all day conferences filled with authors that are preying on our fears and spinning tales of insanity and madness in order to increase their bank accounts. Tell those fear mongers who put together lousy end-of-the-world videos to get lost. Remember how we were told over and over again that the harmonic convergence meant the end of the world? Y2K was supposed to be the end of all mankind, and that 9/11 was the start of the End Times. What horrific events happened on 6/06/06? Oh, and to go back in time, wasn't the world supposed to end in 1958? In fact, check out this helpful site, The Library of Date Setters for the End of the World, where they list more than 200 doomsday predictions! And yet, we are still here. And life goes on. Yes, one day the end will come. And catastrophes will strike the planet. Someday, but not in 2012, or 12/21/21. (Wanna bet a few will claim it was all due to some sort of spiritual dyslexia?) Not even 12/21/75. Spend the next year of your life spreading love and compassion, and set your spirits free from the fear of what will happen on December 21, 2012.

Notice how the world didn't end on May 21, 2011? Will the end come ten days before Halloween? No. The world will not shake, the ground will not rumble. Things will be just the same as always. That being said, the doomsday sayers, those who sell the notion that death and destruction will sweep upon us on December 21, 2012 have not slowed down their wild tales. Even better, they have now been joined by many within mainstream Christian churches who have been teaching that we are in the End Times. In reality, nothing has happened to date.

It’s all a way for them to sell more books, DVDs, survival kits, conferences, etc. for another year until 2012 then they will have to come up with more reasons why the Rapture has yet to take place.

I’m tired of good people being conned into spending their hard earned money by these people, so I have come up with an idea:

“The 2012 Money Back Guarantee Challenge”

How does it work? Simple! Next time you come across one of these people who are selling doom and gloom for 2012 whether it’s a book, CD, survival kit or a conference tell them to put up or shut up. They need to give you a 100% promise that when December 22, 2012 comes around, if things are still standing, you get your money back. But they will never do this. Why? Cashing in on the fears of December 21, 2012 is just another replacement for snake oil.
