"Paranormal Reality: Investigating Paranormal State" – Soon to be Released!

It's been a while since you've seen any new posts here at the Eye on the Paranormal. I hadn't planned on being away from it as long as this, but you know the saying, 'God laughs at man's plans'. Yet, as much as things have changed they've also remained unchanged.

One of the changes is that I'm a little wiser than I was in the past. I need to say that I am sorry for some of the biting humor I used in the previous posts. Some people might have been hurt by them, and for that I am sorry.

What has remained the same is the popularity of paranormal reality programming. One might say it's even more popular than it has ever been.

Only a few more episodes of Paranormal State will be aired. Then it will no longer be around as we know it. If you've been affiliated with the paranormal field for a few years, you might be aware that I was one of the first, and possibly the most vocal, critic of the show. You can read those commentaries in this blog from 2008. I pointed out it was not as real as some would want you to think.

Back in April 2010, I started the first draft of a book entitled Paranormal Reality: Investigating Paranormal State, with my co-author, Lisa Maliga. It's an in-depth view of the show. We also analyze Ryan Buell's book, Paranormal State: My Journey into the Unknown. We uncover things that the show's producers and Ryan would prefer to remain hidden from public knowledge.

Some might ask that since the show is going off the air, why do we need a book about it? Here are two reasons.

1 The viewing public has a right to know the truth. Evidence has been faked, events have been staged, and facts have been misrepresented. Paranormal State has more in common with a mockumentary than a documentary.

2 To serve as a warning to others who think they can become a para-celebrity and plan on copying the tricks they've seen on the show. If viewers can learn to be more careful and apply critical thinking skills, they won't be fooled again.

Paranormal Reality: Investigating Paranormal State will be available later this month. I'll be updating this site when there is more information, including any online interviews.

I'll delve into the world of the unknown now that the Eye on the Paranormal is open again.

Eye on the Paranormal – Issue 17 ~ One Last Look

Copyright 2009 by Kirby Robinson

Eye on the Paranormal

Welcome back to the Eye on the Paranormal.

A NEW YEAR’S EVE MESSAGE FROM UP HIGH

I believe in the power of prayer. I practice prayer numerous times every day. I also believe in simply talking to God and I know He talks back to me either through mental impressions, chance encounters with strangers, dreams of angels, and an occasional message directly from Him. On New Year’s Eve I was meditating about the subject of what I needed to do differently in 2009. An angel’s voice came to me and said, “Let go of being angry and upset with people in the paranormal field who are being less than ethical in their conduct. In the end they are only hurting themselves. Yes, they will continue to gather fame, fortune, and celebrity status in this life. But this life is only brief and temporary. And once this life is over and the race is done they will be judged by those who are perfect in nature. And none of their schemes, pleadings, or arguments will save their souls in the end. The future negative karma that they will have to endure will teach them the lesson that they refused to learn here on earth.

“The innocent that they take advantage of, those who blindly placed their trust in them because they are a celebrity, they are on TV, and have that trust broken and end up being used, will be rewarded in the heavens. For if one conducts negative actions towards another the victim in the end is not punished nor do they lose but they will be rewarded in the end.”

EDITORIAL COMMENT

There is an eye-opening book that everyone should try to read this year. It’s called “The Psychic Mafia” by M. Lamar Keene. The title may give you the impression that it’s a book to be taken lightly. It isn’t. It concerns the misconduct and the tricks of the trade that numerous psychics employed for many years while they were part of the Spiritualist church and readers at one of the biggest Spiritualist camps, Camp Chesterfield located in Indiana. A very interesting story is shared at the beginning of the book. A gentleman attends a service at a Spiritualist church where the reader who’s leading the service, an elderly man with failing eyesight, is obviously peeking through the blindfold and holding up the questions within an inch of his eyes so he could read them. The problem is a spirit guide was supposed to be telling him what was on the paper inside the envelope. The gentleman looks around the packed church and is amazed that no one else is seeing this. Other attendees are looking at the floor or the ceiling, or they see the reader doing it but they refuse to acknowledge the deception.

This is a great example of what’s going on in the paranormal community today. There are those that see the truth, know that there are others engaging in acts of dishonesty and trickery, and are making an effort to bring it to other people’s attention. But there are those who believe so strongly in whatever paranormal mockery is shown on TV simply because they need to believe in something. They refuse to see the deception. In the end not only is the entire paranormal community going to be devastated when someone, not on Blogger or hosting an internet radio talk show, but some larger power with letters like ABC, NBC, FOX or CNN begins to expose the truth.

TOPHER YOUNG CALLS RYAN BUELL AND OTHER PARA-CELEBRITIES FRAUDS

One of Ryan Buell’s personal assistants, Topher Michael Young who has been an outspoken critic of my efforts to expose the lies and fakery that his boss and Paranormal State engage in, must have experienced a Freudian slip while posting his comment on a previous blog.

“The fact still remains Kirby that you yourself are just as unethical and fraudulent as the people you attack and claim are.”

Now, if Mr. Topher Young would just reveal to the world his connection to Warren Peace on Blogger...

THE CHIP COFFEY V. BEATRICE MAROT SAGA - OR A WEEK OF LOVE & COMPASSION IN THE PARANORMAL COMMUNITY

You would have either not logged onto MySpace, received an email or read a previously posted blog concerning the Chip Coffey v. Beatrice Marot saga, which continues to rage across the Internet. I’m not going to rehash the whole sad episode. Google it and you can read it for yourself.

Before I go any further, let me say this about both Beatrice and Chip. I’ve never met either individual. With Beatrice I’ve exchanged emails. With Chip I’ve only posted a few comments on his blogs. He posted on mine and I’ve sent him two emails but never got a response. I don’t dislike either Beatrice or Chip. I have no axe to grind against either one nor am I interested in promoting one over the other.

In actuality, I feel sorry for both people. You see Chip is entering his senior years and there is no retirement plan for psychics. When you’re hot you’re hot but as soon as the iron of publicity and popularity begins to cool, the fame begins to wane, the readings become less numerous and the lucrative rates that you charge eventually have to decrease. In the psychic world every single day there’s a new crop of psychics popping up on the ‘net and other various forms of media. They all have the new hip phrases that the public is often clamoring for and their youthful appearance makes them media friendly. But I do have a few points I wish to make.

~1 Beatrice claims that she never intended to call Chip Coffey a pedophile. Let me say this here and now I may find Chip Coffey wanting in numerous areas of ethical conduct and being truthful about certain matters but let me make it clear: CHIP COFFEY IS NOT A PEDOPHILE. Beatrice claims that she was attempting to say “how would you like it if I called you a pedophile?” The passage that I’ve read that Beatrice wrote doesn’t come across it that way to me. But that’s the problem with emails you often push the send button faster than you should, or you don’t take time to proofread it. Emails may not be as clear on a topic as you would wish.

~2 Mr. Coffey claims he got the pedophile email when on the set of shooting the scripted paranormal show, Paranormal State. He was so outraged that he waited an entire week, returned home to Atlanta, posted a Merry Christmas blog, wishing love and kindness to all, and then days later he posted a blog where he proceeded to attack Beatrice for calling him a pedophile.

~3 I can understand Chip being upset concerning such allegations; being called a pedophile is a no-win situation. If you say you’re not people will say that he has to say that. But that being said, numerous individuals who felt that Mr. Coffey should have conducted this in a manner solely between him and Beatrice, and not post this sad saga on MySpace, contacted MySpace in droves that Saturday, asking for the offending blog to be removed, which MySpace did. Not Mr. Coffey removing it on his own, as he implies in his Blogger post, but it was MySpace’s decision. Earlier on that Saturday, I had posted a comment on that MySpace blog where I said there’s no room to be calling people pedophiles or questioning people’s sexual orientation. When Mr. Coffey reposted the blog over at Blogger, I kindly posted a welcome to Blogger message on his blog, which led Mr. Coffey to post a comment over here at the Eye on the Paranormal, inviting me to have a phone conversation with him. I was busy on a case and as soon as I had the opportunity, within 24 hours, I did email him. Here is Chip’s comment followed by my email:

Chip Coffey said...
Kirby,

Thanks for your kind comment to my blog here on Blogspot.

Perhaps it is time that we talked by phone? If you will send me an e-mail to chipcoffey @ aol.com, we can make arrangements to speak, if you choose to do so.

Dear Chip,
Thank you for your kind post. Yes, I would be interested in talking with you over the phone. I am going to be out of town until Christmas. What day after Christmas would be convenient for you?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Your friend in spirit,
Kirby
To date, I have not received a response from Mr. Coffey. I know he and John Zaffis discussed my conversation that I had with Mr. Zaffis over the phone, so Chip knows I’m not a raving lunatic. I don’t appreciate Mr. Coffey dragging me into this Beatrice v. Chip situation.

~4 The week of Christmas, the week that Mr. Coffey posted a message of hope and love and the reason for the season, he continued to attack Beatrice throughout that time period. But was it only Chip that was attacking Beatrice? His faithful followers proceeded to send her such kind emails as the following:

“From: name deleted [mailto:xxxxxxxxxxxx]
Sent: Tuesday, December 23, 2008 9:47 PM
To: bea@goddesscentral.com
Subject: .....
i truely think you need to be bludgeoned to death
You're honestly the most hipocritical c**t i've ever had the misfortune to come across.
please
please
PLEASE
Jump infront of a bus for all our sake.
That blog isn't coming down and i truely hope you do end up killing yourself over it.
Thanks,
GetALifeFraud”

“Leave Chip alone, you s*** ****er.”

”I JUST WANTED TO WRITE AND TELL YOU WHAT A DISGRACE YOU ARE AS A HUMAN BEING. TO ACCUSE SOMEONE OF BEING INTRESTED IN CHILDREN IS AS LOW AS YOU CAN GO. I BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE JEALOUS OF CHIP BECAUSE HE IS DOING SOMETHING THAT YOU ARE UNABLE TO DO. HE HAS THE RESPECT YOU WISH YOU COULD HAVE.YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO BE A GROWN WOMAN HOW ABOUT ACTING LIKE IT!!!!!!!”

”Beatrice Marot So your the bitch who is hating on Chip you know what F*** YOU C**T!!!”

“YOU SUCK! JUST WANTED YOU TO KNOW MORE PEOPLE HATE YOU THEN LIKE YOU.”

~5 When Beatrice contacted Chip concerning these posts and asking him to post a comment on his blog to ask his followers to stop sending hate mail, Mr. Coffey refused to do so. Instead, Mr. Coffey and some of his followers proceeded to go to a site entitled RipoffReport.com and opened up a dangerous door that I think Chip and other para-celebrities are going to regret ever being opened. For those who don’t know, Ripoff Report is a respected web site. Anyone that has been wronged in a business type situation can go over and post a report of such activity and it can never be removed. There is no research conducted by Ripoff Report on whether the allegations are true and they have a very high ranking with Google. Chip and his followers proceeded to post numerous complaints against Beatrice on this site. Again, I got dragged into the situation by having one of Chip’s followers post a report as she was upset that I allowed Beatrice to post on my MySpace and Blogger blogs!

Like my granddaddy said, “once you open the barn door you ain’t ever getting the chickens back in.” I can see now, for example, somebody who doesn’t like a program, like Paranormal State, going through each and every episode and filing Ripoff Reports against every para-celebrity who appears on that show as being con artists. It’s a dangerous precedent that should never have been started and I don’t need tarot cards to tell me what’s going to happen next.

~6 My final comment on this whole situation is how do supposedly busy para-celebrities have time to sit on MySpace, blog, make comments, file Ripoff Reports, etc., etc., Aren’t para-celebrities out there supposedly helping people?

THE FIRST ANNUAL EYE ON THE PARANORMAL INDUCTION INTO THE PARANORMAL HALL OF SHAME

It’s time to induct the first group into the Eye on the Paranormal Hall of Shame. These para-celebrities and para-scoundrels have led the pack in acts of lies, distortion, deception, and manipulation that are going to lead to the downfall of the paranormal field’s credibility. These people are just examples of the greed, ignorance, lack of scientific evaluation, jumping to conclusions and the need to find those pesky demons behind each and every door.

~1 Laura from Paranormal State’s I AM SIX episode who attempted to foil the world into believing that she was demonically possessed by the same demon who was used in the film “The Exorcism of Emily Rose.” But the only thing this girl was possessed by was a bad case of the wannabes. Her acting will forever make Linda Blair’s performance in “The Exorcist” rank up there with the likes of Meryl Streep in any of her films. Laura’s “acting” ability was so weak that the only thing she could spontaneously come up with during the staged exorcism is “she’s so sleazy!” And the voice wasn’t modified at all. The only thing that was amazing about the performance is that A&E allowed it to be televised.

~2 Christopher Moon, the man behind the Phone to the Dead. If anyone does any kind of research concerning the claims about the history of such a device, it will only lead to dead ends. There’s no valid proof that Thomas Edison was ever connected to the Phone to the Dead, nor is there any valid proof that the spirit of Thomas Edison is the operator on the other side that Mr. Moon claims to contact. Only after the individual coughs up hundreds of dollars will Mr. Moon tell you the static is saying something that it’s not.

~3 Darkness Radio and its host Dave Schrader who attempts to pass off his radio show as a valid news program but this is nothing more than a glorified infomerical. It’s prerecorded, no calls are ever taken, and the para-celebrities that parade onto his show are never asked the tough, probing questions. The other sides of the issues are never discussed. It is laudable that is criticizes Christopher Moon for being a fake and a fraud, yet he refuses to do the same when it comes to numerous para-celebrities like Ryan Buell, Chip Coffey, and the shows they are affiliated with: “Paranormal State” and “Psychic Kids: Children of the Paranormal.”

~4 Lorraine Warren. Her deceased husband, Ed, was a good man, and sometimes good people end up doing things they regret to please the bad people in their lives. She is one of those responsible for helping to promote the Amityville Horror Hoax back in the 1970s and even after books, court cases, and signed statements have debunked the myth, she still travels the country charging several thousands of dollars selling the falsehood of the Amityville Horror.

~5 The first TV program to be inducted into the Hall of Shame is “Psychic Kids: Children of the Paranormal” which beat out a strong contender, “Most Haunted.” But the exploitation and endangerment of young children and families with emotional and psychological issues gave it the edge. In addition, they have their own Demon House episode, which has been proven, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that it was staged and scripted.

TAPS LIES…
…if you believe that TAPS is deceiving you, here’s a petition you might want to sign.
We, the undersigned, are tired of being deceived by Sci-Fi Networks television reality show "Ghost Hunters" featuring paranormal superstars, The Atlantic Paranormal Society also known as TAPS. Furthermore, we the viewing audience pledge to cease watching the show indefinitely until paranormal occurrences portrayed on the show are proven (beyond a reasonable doubt) not to have been fabricated by the Ghost Hunters production team, namely Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson.

PARANORMAL STATE’S “I AM SIX” EPISODE REMOVED FROM YOUTUBE

Anyone that monitors Paranormal State’s activity over at YouTube has noticed a sudden disappearance of all five parts of the I AM SIX episode. Why is this? In addition, A&E has put the Paranormal State community board on comment approval. Are too many people becoming wise to the acts of deception and distortion that Paranormal State has engaged in? Particularly the lies and distortion they engaged in with the I AM SIX episode.

THE PHONE TO THE DEAD: 0% CREDIBILITY

Over the past few weeks we at the Eye on the Paranormal was given unlimited access to a Frank’s Box, or what Christopher Moon loves to call the Phone to the Dead. He claims on his web site an 88% accuracy rating for results. So, Eye on the Paranormal wanted to put such a claim to the test. An 88% accuracy rating is amazing, your average psychic barely can do 60%, and the really good ones are at 70%. Oh wait, there’s one exception -- when Chip Coffey does a walk-through on Paranormal State -- he has an amazing 100% accuracy rating! Then again, anyone can do that if fed the information before the reading. That being said, we came up with a test. For 48 straight hours we’d ask the box 20 questions allowing for a two-minute period between each question, which was recorded and checked for accuracy of the answers. Here are the 20 questions that we asked over and over:

~1 What year is it?
~2 What is the name of the holiday that is celebrated by most Christians on December 25?
~3 Who is the current president of the United States?
~4 What was the name of the team who won the World Series in 2008?
~5 What is the brand name of the bottle of soda that is sitting on the table in front of us?
~6 How many candles do we have burning in the room right now?
~7 Los Angeles has 2 NBA teams – what are their respective names?
~8 What is the name of the person who will be taking over the office of the president in 2009?
~9 What was the name of the team that won the Superbowl in 2008?
~10 Two leading actors died in 2008 – one had the first name of Charlton and the other’s first name was Paul – what are their last names?
~11 Who was the president who was assassinated in office during the Civil War?
~12 Los Angeles is located in what state?
~13 The name of this planet is ________?
~14 What was the name of the school that won the Rose Bowl in 2008?
~15 What nation held the summer Olympics in 2008?
~16 How many hands does a normal person have?
~17 How many toes does a normal person have?
~18 John Wayne, the famous actor, his nickname was “The ____”?
~19 The Tower of London is located in what city?
~20 Who is buried in Grant’s Tomb?

Out of these 20 simple questions the phone to the dead gave us 0 accurate responses. So anyone who tries to peddle this device as being anything more than just a sham piece of equipment is engaging in acts of fraud and should be reported to authorities as such. Trying to use the tagline “for entertainment purposes only” doesn’t relieve one from a moral responsibility for their actions.

CLOSING COMMENT

This will be the last Eye on the Paranormal for a while. I feel that we’ve accomplished what we set out to and my time right now would be much better served being available to my clients who are in need.

We have effectively shown that Paranormal State, and the numerous para-celebrities connected to it have engaged in a campaign of lies, distortion and deception to keep the public in the dark by carrying out a thorough analysis of each and every episode exposing the truth. They have yet to show beyond a reasonable doubt that any of my analysis has been wrong.

Kelli Ryan, who was a victim of Ryan Buell, Paranormal State, and Chip Coffey, had the courage to speak out and yet none of her allegations have been disproven to date.

No para-celebrity has had the courage to take up the Paranormal Moment of Truth Challenge because they know they can’t pass the lie detector test. But the offer still stands.

Neither Chip Coffey nor Christopher Moon ever responded to our challenge concerning the phony Phone to the Dead. They know it’s a sham and they know that it doesn’t do what they claim it does.

The world is not found on MySpace, Blogger, YouTube, Google, A&E TV, etc. The world is out there. That’s where people who are in need of help can be found. It’s not about fame, wealth, power, prestige, or ratings. All those are brief and fleeting and will one day return to dust. Does this mean that the Eye is closed for good? Who knows when the Eye will open again? I don’t know.

I leave you with a quote. I hope numerous people out there take it to heart and truly understand what it’s saying.

“And if I have prophetic powers,
and understand all mysteries and all
knowledge, and if I have all faith,
so as to remove mountains,
but have not love, I am nothing.”
1 Corinthians 13:2

It seems some folks just can’t learn to tell the truth and their lies just get sadder and sadder. The people over at PRS/PS have been caught red-handed. It’s time to ‘fess up.

For those who are unaware, during the investigation that was part of Paranormal State’s THE MESSENGER episode, it seems that the participants from PRS decided to plant a cold can of Budweiser on a bed to get Bill the ghost to appear.

Ryan and Chip enter the room and Ryan claims he picks up a cold spot and when the intrepid pair flip on the light they claim they see an outline of a person on the bed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyHjjDR9JBQ&feature=related The Messenger, Part 2

There are 3 things everyone can do in the effort to get the truth out to the general public and proper authorities. They’re free, and will only take a few moments of your time. But they can pay off big in exposure.

1) Call, write, and/or email Anheuser-Busch, Inc. and tell them that their product is being used without their permission and in an act of deception. Tell them it is reflecting badly on the image of such a respected corporation. Also, you might pitch some new taglines for their Budweiser Beer product. Mine are:

2) Lakeshore Entertainment is the production company behind the film “The Exorcism of Emily Rose.” It’s very clear that PRS/PS and/or Laura’s family is ripping off the story from this fine motion picture for the sake of 15 minutes of fame. Even Paranormal State puts to use the 1,2,3,4,5,6 from the film. So the production company should both be warned and compensated, or have the I AM SIX episode yanked. THE PARANORMAL MOMENT OF TRUTH CHALLENGE

Dear Ryan Buell, Chip Coffey, Lorraine Warren, Sandra & Keith Johnson, Dr. Ron Milione, Tony Spera, Shannon & Jeff Sylvia, C.J. Sellers, Chris Moon, Michelle Belanger, Chad Calek, Michael & Marti Parry, Mark & Debby Constantino, Kim Russo, David Schrader, Reverend Andrew Calder, Reverend Bob Larson, Grant Wilson, and Jason Hawes:

I have expressed concerns about how you conduct your investigations and the validity of those investigations, where anyone with a clear and discerning eye can see that they are not authentic. I have also witnessed heavy-handed tactics being used against people who question your alleged authority within the paranormal community and dared to raise questions concerning the validity of appearing on the A&E shows, Paranormal State, and Psychic Kids: Children of the Paranormal. I can no longer sit by in silence. That is why I came up with The Paranormal Moment of Truth Challenge, which will benefit you, your organization, the paranormal field, and a charity that would be assisted from the donation of the prize money.

1 ~ It would silence your critics if you are determined to be telling the truth about all your claims and how they are presented. There can be no one left to challenge your honesty and integrity.

2 ~ It would not only benefit your organization, but it would also help the entire paranormal field. Because if such evidence is true, it will be brought to a much wider audience, which hopefully would fuel additional legitimate investigations. So it’s a win-win situation for everyone.

3 ~ The charity of your choice would have the prize money donated to them. If the truth is being told, that prize money could reach $500,000.

So, what is The Paranormal Moment of Truth Challenge? I am sure you’ve heard of the Fox Network program entitled The Moment of Truth. This is where a contestant is hooked up to a lie detector test and asked 50 questions, of which 21 of them are used on the actual show. As long as you tell the truth, you keep on winning money -- up to $500,000. The production company, Lighthearted Entertainment Inc., would jump at an opportunity of doing a show with the two of you. And I will put my personal credibility on the line and appear, as well. For if you visit my Free All Spirits page (www.myspace.com/freeallspirits), you’ll notice that I personally make what some would call outlandish claims concerning my work as a Demonologist/Exorcist/Paranormal Investigator/Caring Spiritual Adviser.

If you would like to be "one step closer to the truth" then this is a way to achieve your goal. If interested, please contact me at this email address and I will get the ball rolling as soon as possible.

Your friend in spirit,
Kirby

To date, this is the response that I’ve received from them.

Why not do the show? Only you, the paranormal field, and a charity of your choice would benefit.

INFORMATION REQUEST: If anyone wants to share any information with their experiences involving the PRS, Ryan Buell, Chip Coffey, and any other para-celebrity that has made an appearance on Paranormal State, whether it is good or bad, I would like to read it. Your confidentiality is 100% guaranteed.

NOTE: Please feel free to copy and paste this and place it all over the web. And, unlike any of my other blogs, you can even repost this under your own name!

Eye on the Paranormal – SPECIAL HOLIDAY ANNOUNCEMENT!

Copyright 2008 by Kirby Robinson

Eye on the Paranormal

Welcome back to the Eye on the Paranormal. We are taking a blink for the next 2 weeks and will be returning on Saturday, January 10, 2009 with our BIGGEST issue ever! Why the blink? And why now, you ask?

~1 It’s the Holiday Season and this isn’t the time to cause discord and disagreement.
~2 Our legal team is out of town until early January.
~3 During the next few days some of us here at the Eye on the Paranormal will be given unlimited access to a Frank’s Box and we are preparing for that occasion.
~4 There are breaking stories and leads coming from everywhere. But some of our crack investigators are busy with their friends and families.
~5 I am currently backed up on cases.
~6 Some of the team just needs the time off due to the fact that Paranormal State is returning to the airwaves soon. These are the team members who are responsible for viewing this show numerous times as they do the breakdowns of all the deception and lies of each episode.

We’ll be returning with startling surprises for one and all. So during the interim get your rest, take your vitamins, eat well, exercise, and maybe get a seatbelt for your chair because it’s going to be a wild ride [or read!] when the Eye pops back open on January 10.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ONE AND ALL!

Eye on the Paranormal – Issue 15 ~ Paranormal Shenanigans!

Eye on the Paranormal

Copyright 2008 by Kirby Robinson

Welcome back to the Eye on the Paranormal. It’s time to toss another log on the fire, fill up your cup of eggnog or hot chocolate and settle down to read another week’s worth of insane behavior of para-celebrities and paranormal scoundrels running amok in the paranormal world! And let all of us from both Free All Spirits and everyone associated with the Eye on the Paranormal send holiday wishes to one and all. May you enjoy a wonderful Hanukkah, a great Kwanzaa, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

CLEARING THE AIR!

I’m not giving those who are working for the Paranormal Research Society and Chip Coffey as they lamely attempt to discredit our efforts to expose their lies, distortions, and skullduggery. I’m not going to give out their names, but I will address the issues that they are attempting to use against me.

~1 Yes, I charge for my services if I have to go on site to conduct an investigation, exorcism, or cleansing. Airlines charge. Hotels charge. Food and transportation cost money. I doubt that any of the above services would comp me if I told them I’m there to perform an exorcism. In the cases that I’m brought into by the Christian denominations that contract with me they cover my expenses.

Having ones expenses covered is not unethical at all. Numerous people in the field, like John Zaffis, do the same. And even those para-celebrities involved with Paranormal State do so as well. They have their travel expenses, hotel, car rental, etc. covered.

~2 My work with the Miss Cleo line assisting in getting them shut down while other “readers” in the call center engaged in phone sex, lying about whether the call would cost the client anything, and other dishonorable dealings. The readings I gave were 100% legitimate readings. I gave each caller a numerology reading, a tarot card reading, I put to use Runes, etc. Not everyone that worked on the Miss Cleo line was fakes, frauds, or charlatans. Just like in the paranormal field, you have the fakers over at PRS, the fraud of Paranormal State, and the charlatans of the para-celebrities connected with the show. There were some people who worked for the Miss Cleo line that were gifted, concerned, and genuine. And they worked for far less money than those numerous para-celebrities that charge up to $150.00 for a 30-minute phone reading.

~3 There is no record of my work in the paranormal field prior to 2007. I’m not a paranormal investigator who seeks to prove that the paranormal exists or that demons are real. I know they do and my clients know they do. The Bible as well as all the other spiritual paths that I walk, teaches me this fact as well.

What I found is that those who work in the paranormal field who have tried to “prove” that demons are real and that possession is real have not ended up being as ethical as what they could be within the presentation. Because once the money starts coming in and they want to sell their next story they start to exaggerate, create and out and out lie about their cases to make it more salable to the media.

~4 That the Ghost Divas, Ghost Hunters Inc. and me are joined at the hip. We are not working hand in hand. I send them emails sometimes and comment on their blogs once in a while. That’s the extent of our being partners in the effort. There’s not a grand conspiracy as some are alleging that I am a part of. Just as all those citizens across the country who were partners in the effort to elect Barack Obama into the White House, they worked together, but they weren’t joined at the hip.

~5 That I can’t have a 100% guarantee of spirit removal. That’s false, and they know it. The spiritual paths that guide my life teach me the techniques and the means to remove a spirit or a demon and encourage others to move on towards the light. Now is it always done in one visit? Like 100% of the time that it’s shown on Paranormal State? No. We may have to go back multiple times. Unlike Paranormal State and PRS, who simply stay as long as the cameras are rolling, and then hurry on to their next victims as soon as the cameras stop.

~6 My Paranormal Moment of Truth Challenge. Many people who don’t have any kind of contact with the entertainment industry really don’t know how things work. Mr. Buell nor Mr. Coffey are under contract with A&E. They are under contract with the production company that produces their show. If they seek the credibility and acceptance that they allege to seek, doing a show that would reveal to America that they’re telling the truth 100% about their paranormal activities would not only validate their claims but their talents and expertise as well.

As to the claim that I’m seeking publicity for myself, I have a face for radio I have a voice for print media and my writing style isn’t all that great.

~7 The allegation that I approached the Rob & Big Show to be featured on it is false.

Subject: paranormal investigator needed
Dear Kirby Robinson,

My name is Barry Smoler. I am e-mailing you on behalf of a doumentary series on cable television that is looking for a paranormal investigator. The cast of our show is currently trying to communicate with what they feel is a presence in their house and have had many unsuccessful and rather "phoney" attempts by others who claimed to have been real paranormal investigators or have the ability to communicate with things beyond our basic understanding.

I would love to talk with you more about this and try to schedule you to meet with the cast of our show. Please call me as soon as possible so that we can discuss this further and she if you can help them.

I appreciate your time and hope to hear from you very soon.

RAY GARTON’S RESPONSE TO JOHN ZAFFIS’S LETTER

In case you missed issue #14, here is the unedited letter that Mr. John Zaffis sent to me.

"Anatomy of a Paranormal Money Cow
After seeing the blog I find it necessary to respond to it. The recounts of Carmen Reed and John Zaffis are much of the case that I worked on I have no problem with that part of the posting. What I do have a problem with is the book IN A DARK PLACE the author interviewed me and from what I can remember it was very brief I had tried to call him many times after that and he never responded back. I was so excited when the book came out I ran to the store to bye a copy (gee I am in the book and had to bye one so much for getting rich off that book). I sat down and started to read it and realized it was not something I was interested in saying was a true story and to this day I do not indorse it as true or talk about it. What had happen with the Warrens and the author I do no know I was not there or any part of what took place in there conversations? .you can call Lorraine Warren and ask her yourself on that one.
As for Lorraine Warren having anything to do with Chip Coffey and John Zaffis doing the book Demons From the Dark this is not true. Carmen wanted to do the book by her self and I offered to help in anyway I can it will be called A Haunting in Connecticut and for the family doing a new move on that case I guess people are still interested after all these years and I hope the monetary value comes with it for them and any family after going public.
To this day I lecture on that case and as many have herd me for the last 20 years my story has not changed in any way on what happened to me or the family that summer in 1988 yes Ed Warren was my mentor feel free to go on my site and read it. The story is called Just Remember.
Like I always do send the person your phone number or call them before posting things it can stop a lot of bad or incorrect information from getting out there
Best Regards
John Zaffis"

The author, Ray Garton, was sent a copy of this letter AFTER Mr. Zaffis posted it on his own blog. Here is Ray’s unedited response:

“I really hate to say this, Kirby, but he's lying. I'd had so much trouble gathering the information for the book that had anyone reached out to me by phone or mail, I would've LEAPED at the chance to take advantage of it. I never heard from Mr. Zaffis. Not once. In fact, Mr. Zaffis seemed reluctant to talk to me while I was there in Connecticut. We had one conversation, but it wasn't very lengthy. I was led to believe Zaffis was not that intimately involved in the case -- he was, I was told, hanging around to get a feel for the business. Ed and Lorraine made it clear that THEY were the leaders of this investigation and that my questions should be directed at THEM. Ed and Lorraine kept telling me that they were going to show me VIDEO TAPE EVIDENCE of the supernatural activity in the Snedeker's home. They said more than once that Zaffis would be providing me with this video. It never came. "John is looking for it," Lorraine assured me. Then Zaffis told me they were having trouble finding it. He became more and more sheepish and reluctant to talk to me as my time to leave neared and no tape had been produced. I never saw that tape -- I never saw ANY video tape at all, not even one I didn't watch. It simply wasn't there, and no solid reason was given for their inability to produce it. Had Zaffis called me later, I most definitely WOULD have taken the call -- I had unanswered questions and had never seen the repeatedly promised video. I received no calls from him, nor did he communicate with me in any way.

Zaffis wrote: I sat down and started to read it and realized it was not something I was interested in saying was a true story and to this day I do not indorse it as true or talk about it.

I'm sorry if Mr. Zaffis was disappointed by the book, but it was written according to Ed Warren's instructions. I have never at ANY time claimed that it is a "true story" and go out of my way to take every opportunity to tell the TRUTH behind the book. I have no doubt that Zaffis does not talk about IN A DARK PLACE -- Ed and Lorraine didn't talk about it, either, and Carmen Reed has gone so far as to denounce it. The book and the story behind it reveal the fraudulence of this case and of their "work". These are not honest people. I do not expect a straight answer from any of them about anything related to that book or to the Snedekers' and Warrens' claims about what happened in that house.

Thanks for forwarding this, Kirby.
Ray Garton”

PSYCHIC/MEDIUM CHIP COFFEY’S AMAZING PREDICTIONS!!!

Chip Coffey responded to a question asking where Jimmy Hoffa is buried and where Amelia Earhart’s plane went down, Chip wrote:

“Once again, someone who does not know me serves as my judge and jury!

Yes, I do get paid for providing a service that many people find valuable and beneficial to them. What business of yours is how much money I earn?

You've been "in the business" long enough to know how psychic abilities work and don't work, Bobby. If not, do a little research.

I challenge you to produce any article (other than by Kirby Robinson, one of your "hater cronies") that says I am provided info prior to appearing on set for episodes of Paranormal State. However, no matter what anyone says to the contrary, you a**holes are going to believe what you want to believe.

Grab a mirror, bend over and take a long look behind, Bobby. I predict THAT'S where Hoffa and Earhart will be found.

Go "paranormally police" someone else!”
Posted by Psychic / Medium Chip Coffey on December 12, 2008 - Friday 5:21 PM

We are currently awaiting x-rays to determine whether Mr. Coffey is accurate with this prediction.

CHRIS MOON & HIS SQUAWK BOX

If you haven’t already heard, Mr. Chris Moon is currently trying to sell to Hollywood a new fake paranormal TV show! He has been trying to do anything to gain any kind of publicity for his Squawk Box or what some have named it The Bottomless Money Pit. He’s even been putting his services on eBay and when no one was stupid enough to purchase them, he bid on the services himself.

There are so many lies that are being told by Mr. Moon that it would take too long to address them here. And others have already done a complete and thorough job of showing such claims like the fact that Thomas Edison was working on a phone to the dead as Mr. Moon claims. Actually, it’s nothing but a fallacy that exists only in Mr. Moon’s head.

But let’s look at Mr. Moon’s appearance on Paranormal State in Season 1. This is a show that he has close ties to due to his relationship with Lorraine Warren and Chip Coffey. Also, Chip just so happens to be one of the very few people on earth [a mere 30 mortals have this knowledge], who can operate a Frank’s Box or what some have called it Frank’s Cash Cow.

It was on the episode entitled “The Asylum” that Mr. Moon’s device was featured. So let’s take a look at Mr. Moon’s claims and the alleged performance of the box from the episode.

~1 Chris Moon’s explanation of what the Squawk Box does would leave the general public’s collective heads spinning as they try to understand it. That’s an old con technique where the huckster uses so much technical jargon that you make people think that you really must know what you’re talking about. The audience is convinced that all this babble means one thing -- this man is an expert.

~2 The first question that Mr. Moon asks is, “how many demons are here?” We hear, “there were seven.” Not there ARE seven, but in the past tense. Not a proper answer from a learned man like Mr. Edison. You see, one of Mr. Moon’s claims is that Thomas Edison operates a switchboard that allows Mr. Moon to contact the dead along with other deceased celebrities who make appearances from the other side at various times.

~3 Notice that Ryan begins to ask what are the demons names but stops and asks what are the spirits names. Now the question was not originally of spirits but of demons. And to think that only one spirit would give its name, which was Lucy. But it’s not. Listen and you’ll hear “you see.” Notice that it’s Mr. Moon who tells us what we’re supposedly hearing. Again, another old con trick. I’m the expert, I’ll tell you what to hear.

~4 Ryan asks, “is there anything else here?” You already have spirits and demons what else is there? Mr. Moon says, “a demon.” Well, duh, we know that already, but wait! Not only A demon, but A STRONG demon! Watch and listen to the scene. Do it again and again. And you hear nothing about a demon or a strong demon, yet again, another old con trick to make things seem sinister and dangerous. And isn’t it convenient for Mr. Moon that only one of the thousands of spirits that must be stuck in that hell hole, decides to talk?

~5 Ryan asks, “is that what is holding you here?” Answer, yes, Lucy says yes. But do you hear any of this? Nope. Only Mr. Moon’s ego does.

~6 Mr. Moon says Lucy is begging for them to come to the basement. Do you hear it coming from the Squawk Box? Nope, it’s coming from the producers of the show.

They go to the basement and the Moon and Coffey Show goes into high gear. You must note that Mr. Coffey is a frequent guest on Moon’s radio show and Chip’s #1 PR person on My Space, Babs, is a co-host on the show. Things are starting to get really cozy here, folks.

Throughout the basement sequence [and the shots that the producers want you to think is the basement, but it really isn’t], do you ever hear originating from the Squawk Box any of the sounds that Mr. Moon claims to hear? No, you don’t because it’s all a fake, it’s all a sham, and it’s all a fraud.

Mr. Moon claims an 88% success rate with the box. That’s an amazingly high rate, one that even the best psychic/mediums would love to have. So let’s put it to a test. This is the Chris Moon/Chip Coffey Squawk Box Challenge! I will publicly post these 7 tasks and they can choose 6 out of the 7 to answer or complete, which would be close to 88%. If they complete the tasks then it proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that his Squawk Box is real, the Eye on the Paranormal is wrong, and it will close. All these tasks would certainly have hundreds, if not thousands of spirits, on the other side willing to have the truth come out.

~1 Locate the grave of Moses
~2 Locate and find the Lost Dutchman’s Mine in Arizona.
~3 Locate Natalee Holloway’s body. Or if she is alive, where is she at today?
~4 Locate Captain Kidd’s 1699 buried treasure off Gardiners Island, NY.
~5 Please find the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden!
~6 Specially geared toward Chris Moon from Colorado – find the $5,000 to $40,000 worth of gold buried in the mountains by French miners back in the late 18th century.
~7 Locate and produce for the public the Ark of the Covenant.

All the above tasks, if only but half of them are completed, would lead both Mr. Moon and Mr. Coffey to such fame and fortune that they should never have any kind of worry about what people like me have to say. But we know what their answer will be as it was to, and remains still, to the Paranormal Moment of Truth Challenge; they remain silent and ignore it. Because they know that they are fakes, frauds, and paranormal scoundrels.

LORRAINE WARREN V. STEPHEN KING: WHO CAN TELL A BETTER STORY?

Beginning next week we will start an in-depth analysis of all the lies that are told within the book “The Demonologist.”

Mine are:

Eye on the Paranormal – Issue 14 ~ News & Views

Eye on the Paranormal

Copyright 2008 by Kirby Robinson

Welcome back to the Eye on the Paranormal. Free all spirits has been having a very busy past few weeks. Anyone involved within the field of demonology knows that the demons quite often get stirred up during this time of the year. So we’re not going to be doing a full issue today but I did want to share some breaking news and views with you.

Last week’s article evidently hit a nerve with many. Mr. John Zaffis contacted me with some concerns about the validity of the article that was posted in issue 13. since the goal of the Eye on the Paranormal is NOT to engage in personal attacks, character assassination, and innuendos, I agreed to allow Mr. Zaffis to post his response unedited and in the original form in which he sent it to me. So here it is:

UNDER ATTACK!!! – PART 2:

Last weekend there was an orchestrated attempt by fans of a certain Southern psychic/medium and actor who has appeared on scripted paranormal “reality” TV shows who attempted to have Free All Spirits removed from MySpace. Their allegation? I was in violation of Terms & Conditions by posting hyperlinks to this blog on Blogger. So to comply with MySpace we can no longer provide an active hyperlink: one has to manually copy and paste the URL into their web browser.

We would hope that other people in the paranormal field would also be brought into compliance with MySpace’s Terms & Conditions and disable their hyperlinks to sites that make money, sell their services, and also remove tracking devices off their own MySpace sites, which are all in violation of MySpace’s Terms & Conditions.

WHEN THE CAMERAS AIN’T ROLLIN’, THE MONEY AIN’T FLOWIN’, THE PARA-CELEBRITIES AIN’T RESPONDIN’:

In response to those para-celebrities who half heartedly allege that their interest in the paranormal field isn’t all about fame, wealth, and TV appearances, and that they’re willing to go out of the way to assist people in need, let me share an email that was sent to me last week. You decide how much assistance was provided…

“They all say that when a child is involved they drop everything to help that child. They lied. If you look at my friends list you will see that I have many para/celebs. I sent e-mails to all of them for years begging for help! My son who is 12 now was under attack from an evil entity. It would hit him, pull his hair, pinch him, scream at him in the middle of the night, and sometimes pull him out of his bed.
I lived in that house for 18 years, I was buying it. For the safety of my son we had to leave. I feel very lucky that it did not follow us and that I got him out of there alive. My son would wake me up between 2:30 and 3:30am almost every morning, sometimes he would have marks on him from very big hands, other times he would be bleeding or just crying.
I did not know who to turn to for help so I e-mailed the para/celebs. I told them everything. None of them even bothered to e-mail me back and their fans blasted me because my son and I begging for help. My son stopped sleeping in his room about 3 years ago. Now that we are out of there, he sleeps in his own room. I have many blessed item in his new room and this house was blessed befor we moved in. We moved out of there in Aug of this year. It's hard to find an afordable place to rent when you also have a mortgage to pay.
I did find help. Someone who read my cries for help on a para/celeb forum investigated my old house. We no longer lived there at the time but we are still paying for it. They told me that whatever it is, it's very evil. They got a lot of action on their first night, including physical attacks.
Befor I found help, I challanged it so it would leave my child alone. I went from an athelete to disabled in just a few months.
I feel they did not help me because I am not rich, I don't live in a $500,000 house nor is the place this happened a famouse landmark. At the time I lived in a 3 bedroom ranch style house. Small, but big enough for my family. My son and I are still having nightmares about it and we probably
will for the rest of our lives.
In my opinion, the para/celebs are nothing more than a bunch of fakes looking for publicity. The least they could have done is e-mail me back to tell me that they did not want to help my son and I.
If you would like to use what happend to us to help you, tell my story. I guess I should tell you that it started when my son was just 4 years old with hearing voices in his room. I have many evp's that I recorded, some of them are threats. I was a paranormal investigater but I retired when I found out that I was pregnant with my son.
Please don't use my name, but tell my story if you want to.”

Now for those who think that this is an isolated incident within a few hundred miles from where this family lives, another family has contacted the Who’s Who in the paranormal field about their situation and to date have received zero responses.

BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU POST: YOU MAY LOSE ARTISTIC OWNERSHIP OF YOUR INFORMATION:

Hey Kirby,

I sent this out to Para X crew but I thought you might be interested as well. Here is the latest trap courtesy of SCIFI and NBC.

The Ghost Hunters have a new community website. We need to get a warning out to the community. It is a TRAP. Any content you provide is owned by NBC and its affiliates. They can sell your content and not even tell you never mind pay you. BE VERY AFRAID. This has nothing to do with Jason and Grant but they are being used to bring people into the site and share their stuff. Here is a link to the terms of service http://jointhehunt.scifi.com/terms

Thx,
Bonnie

In part, here is what it says in the terms of service on the website. To read the entire lengthy terms, go to the site.

ABOUT NEXT WEEK’S ISSUE:

This will be a special year-end double issue where the rogues gallery of para-celebrities is really going to be exposed. Shocking information is going to be delivered that will leave you wondering do some para-celebrities and paranormal scoundrels really have a conscience?

CALL TO ACTION:

Just tell A&E you won’t watch them as long as Paranormal State is on the air. And share with them all the lies and deception that are taking place. Here’s the contact information:

A&E Television Networks
235 East 45th Street,
New York, NY 10017

Mine are:

~ FORGET ABOUT MILLER TIME – IT’S DEAD TIME!
~ TAKE A SIX PACK OF BUD TO THE GRAVE WITH YOU!
~ THE KING OF DEAD BEER – BUDWEISER
~ BUD – THE BEER FOR THIS LIFE AND THE AFTERLIFE!

Here is the contact information:

3) Penn State is an established institution with a spotless reputation for serious research and above board practices. The president of the university needs to know how PRS is using and abusing its image. Call, write, and/or email them about what is happening.
