Angel Books Optioned by Motion Picture Pro Studios

By Lisa Grace

"Angel in the Shadows, Book 1" and "Angel in the Storm, Book 2" have been optioned by Motion Picture Pro Studios.

The final contracts from Motion Picture Pros Studio just arrived. I'm taking them up to the bank to be notarized after I pick my daughter up from school.

The project is being fast-tracked, and now I'm putting together a plot point treatment (have no idea what they call it, I forgot). Since it's part of a series, they want to make sure characters that might be important in sequels are at least touched upon in this film.

The producer will be releasing a press release that announces the distribution deal on his current film (with a distributor everyone here has heard of) and then will mention mine is optioned and fast-tracked into pre-production with a screenwriter being hired immediately.

I know you guys have put up with me posting about the movie contract since September when I was first contacted, but now it's a done deal.   Books 1 & 2 are being combined into one film, and they have first right of refusal on the third.

I'm going to have Elaine P. English (entertainment lawyer) take bids on the paperbacks for the series.

Dreams do come true, and you can pinch me now.

NOTE: Everyone here at the Eye on the Paranormal sends a heartfelt CONGRATS to Lisa Grace for landing such a marvelous deal. We're sure this isn't the end of her journey, as even better and brighter things will be coming her way! We'll be first in line to buy the tickets on Day 1 of its release!

GHOST WHISPERINGS - Part II Who Or What Is Talking?

By Skarlet Rae

Here is the first part of the Ghost Whisperings series.

In my last segment I covered my (healthy, or so I think) skepticism towards audio documentations like evp's and such.  As explained there, science keeps growing, changing.  Many times, just in my short lifetime alone, things have altered.  Never mind that, but throughout our history many scientific discoveries changed our world and our outlooks and beliefs.  As they will continually change, evolve and have within it more and more information, altering our knowledge and beliefs.

Just as an example, it was believed in the 1970's, by the majority of the population, especially traditional doctors that vitamins and minerals had very little to do with very little.  Although in grade school we learned about scurvy and how vitamin C prevents it.  Still, doctors didn't think that illness can be helped with them.  Now, we have effervescent tablets and packets of powders which boost our immune systems with vitamin C, amongst other herbs and vitamins.  More information can and most assuredly will be discovered and added to the original, changing things, even at times, drastically.  I'm sure all science and technology will keep growing further than our limited, although seemingly tremendous, knowledge.  So why not the paranormal realm?

Because I like to give everything a fair chance, let us set the premise where we believe that the voices evidenced by equipment documentation is of paranormal origin/entity instead of a natural cause or natural phenomenon.  Let us even go further and say that we believe, in the most positive.  We believe that those voices are loved ones passed over.  Because after all, most people who pass over have family, friends and therefore they are loved ones that pass.  Rarely are they orphans, so we can safely presume that it is a passed over loved ones' disembodied spirit that is communicating with us, according to what many deduce.

With the miriad of evp's and voice documentations of disembodied voices, as are available to listen to, how come they are all just a few words?  They whisper and only say a few words.  Hmmmm.  That, to me, is very interesting.  Why do they whisper?  And why only a few words?  Why not converse in the same way as they did when alive, with us? What's with the whispering?

If they were humans at one time, they should have the social customs of humans.  We don't usually whisper.  Some whispering though, interestingly, ask for help.  Hmmmm.... really?  Help?  Then why are they not yelling?  Why isn't that evp or other evidence showing us distress in some form?  Surely a human who is in distress, calling out for another human to help will not be whispering, I can assure you.  Their yell for 'help' is usually just that.. a yell!  Ergo, the whispering doesn't make sense to me.  We humans whisper for only certain reasons.  Reasons of hiding, or sharing a secret.  We don't expect others to respond to us very well if we whisper.  So we usually don't, not in a normal conversation.  Then why do they?  IF they were a human, whose spirit is now there ... wandering, stuck, whatever ... why are they whispering?  Let's say they're hiding.  Well, they are obviously not trying to hide from us, since they are attempting to and communicating with us.  Then why whisper?

To take that line of thought further ... why are they not telling us more than just the same few words over and over?  Or, if and when they identify themselves, how do we know for sure it's the truth? We can do research and find that such and such a person lived there long ago.  But how do we know they are who they say they are?  It's like on the internet .... we don't really know who is communicating with us.  They can tell us anything.  They can tell us they are anyone.  How are we to know that they're for real?  There is no 'people finder' in the paranormal realm to check out validity.

Many paranormal experts, metaphysicians, parapsychologists say that they are lost spirits who haven't found the light.  That some people that pass away are sometimes confused (for whatever reason).  That they can't move on.  That they remain stuck in the location where they passed.  That it is with our help that they will be able to move on.  Then why don't they explain?  Even to a slight degree that they are stuck?  That they don't know where they are.  Why are they just saying 'help me'?  By the time they've said 'help me' several times, they could have given us more information about their state.  Yet they don't.  Why not?

Have you ever received a message as follows:  You come home from work and your spouse tells you that your mother called and left you a message with your spouse.  That it was a message of 3 words that were being whispered so low that the words could not be made out.  Yet they were repeated several times.  Have you ever actually experienced that?  Of course not!  Those who are close to us, friends, family don't whisper at us when they are trying to convey a message.  Never mind if they're seeking help.  But think of this possibility ... if someone wanted to fool you ... to make you think that they are who they would like you to believe they are, then they might whisper.  Because through a whisper you couldn't tell exactly who they are.

Now that was an interesting possibility in my mind.  Think about that for a moment.  The more unintelligable the words are, the more you can 'imagine' that it's someone you'd like it to be, saying what you'd like to hear.

As I see it, most of the evidence that is collected is NOT a plethera of loving messages.  They are, actually pretty negative and nasty.  I've never heard a voice that was documented on an evp or by other means, say "Hi".  They never say, "I miss Joe" (or whoever's name).  One never hears them say "Where is Joe" as if they were looking for someone.  Why is it that we can hear these voices say "Get out" or "Die" or "I know where you live", but they never say "Say hi to Joe for me" or "Send my love to Joe".  I know if I, personally was a ghost, missed my friends and family and had an opportunity to communicate I wouldn't whisper 'die'.  I'd yell as loud as I can and send a loving message.  Wouldn't you?  I'm sure you would.

Therefore I, personally, do not believe that it's our passed over loved ones whose voices are being taken as evidence by paranormal investigators and ghost hunters.  I'm sure if it was my father (may he rest in peace) who was trying to communicate with me, either directly or through another person, I'm SURE he wouldn't send me a message to 'get out' or 'die'.  Would yours?  I seriously doubt it.  Then WHY are we so eager to believe that those voices that we capture through modern investigations are innocent, poor souls, in need of our help?  Or passed on loved ones needing direction to the light?  I'm not saying that there might not be those that do need help in moving on, or something else, but I am of the opinion that most of them are not!

Imagine, having an actual conversation with someone who has passed over.  They could tell us so much.  They could tell us what it's like when the spirit and soul leaves the body.  What one experiences during that process.  Most of us humans are interested in knowing such things.  Yet not one of them has given us any inclination or indication as to what that's all about.  Why?  Have you ever pondered that question?

Stay tuned for more information and thoughs in the next segment of  Ghost Whisperings - Part III - What Are They Saying?

Ten Reasons Vampires Shouldn’t Sparkle

By Kelly Fisher

These are in no particular order and may contain spoilers. These are only my personal opinions.

1. They are creatures of the night.

They lurk in the shadows. They don’t want to be center of attention. They want to fade into the background, to be overlooked, to catch you off your guard. Even if they have evolved over the years and may be able to withstand sunlight they still wish to maintain a low profile and sparkling in the sunlight would certainly make that tough.

2. They are hardcore.

When’s the last time you saw someone that was bathed in glitter and said to yourself, “Wow I bet that person can kick my a$$?” Yeah, I didn’t think so. Nothing that sparkles is scary. When I think of glitter I think of Kesha or unicorns, neither of which is scary. Ok Kesha is a little.

3. They are seductive.

They want to lure you in. They are sexy and suave. They look in your eyes and you are instantly ready to give them whatever they ask of you. Sparkling would take away from this because it would blind you, awakening from your trance. Let’s face it a sparkling vampire would get no play.

4. They are evil.

When I see something sparkle I certainly think it’s evil, don’t you? No? That is because evil is dark and when something sparkles it needs light to do so, as in a diamond sparkles in the candlelight. Why don’t those vampires sparkle in the candlelight anyway? They only sparkle in the sunlight but not in any artificial light? That makes no sense.

5. They are warriors.

Vampires fight. They fight each other; they fight with werewolves, hell they fight to survive. If someone sparkling came up to you looking for a fight would you not laugh in there face and then proceed to knock them out? I know I would.

6. They are predators

They want to eat you. They crave the blood running through your veins. Most predators sneak up on their prey not bust out bedazzled thinking that will work. It would only scare off its prey. A shiny vampire is a hungry vampire.

7. They are mature.

Most vampires have been around for centuries therefore they are way past going to raves and throwing glitter bombs. They may have the looks of a teenager but after seeing many lifetimes they wouldn’t have the maturity level of a teenager.

8. They are emotional, not emo.

Yeah I know emo essentially means emotionally but a vampire shouldn’t have teenage angst. They could have angst about several other issues but I think it’s safe to assume that most of them hit puberty a long time ago. So while they may wear their emotions on their sleeves (and isn’t that way we find some of them so endearing?) they also know how to control their emotions.

9. They are killers.

They have no feelings of guilt if they drain you dry and leave your empty shell to rot. Something that sparkles does not evoke a sense of danger to me, but real vampires are deadly. They don’t care about you.

10. They are freaking vampires! Come on!

No further explanation needed.

New Book "PARANORMAL STATE EXPOSED" Available

By Kirby Robinson

We keep growing and keep exposing all the fakers you can run but never can you hide from the truth

PARANORMAL STATE EXPOSED reveals shocking behind the scenes evidence of deceptions and outright fakery of paranormal activity

PARANORMAL STATE ran on the A&E network from December 2007 through May 2011. This documentary program was comprised of a team of Penn State University students who wanted to help those troubled by unexplained phenomena. The Paranormal State/Paranormal Research Society's motto was, "To trust, honor, and always seek the truth." The show starred founder and director Ryan Buell along with his group of technicians, investigators and occult specialists. He was often assisted by such paranormal celebrities as Chip Coffey, Lorraine Warren, Chad Calek, and Michelle Belanger. The team supposedly helped frightened clients and collected evidence of the unexplained.

PARANORMAL STATE EXPOSED is co-authored by the most controversial figure in the paranormal field, Kirby Robinson. Along with co-author, Lisa Maliga, they explore the rumors of staged scenes, questionable evidence, misleading editing, and duped clients. As other paranormal programming comes along imitating this style of presentation, it's vital that the problems are investigated. With a step-by-step analysis of every episode, the authors present the facts. They give voice to those present on the set ranging from production staff, former clients, and various para-celebrities. Casual viewers and diehard fans of the program are taken beyond the thermal cameras, EVPs, atmospheric music, and sound effects. PARANORMAL STATE EXPOSED uncovers secrets about what went on behind the scenes, and it answers questions about the show's validity. In almost every single episode the reader may find one or more of the following: staged scenes, planted or falsified evidence, fake exorcisms, and crew members masquerading as experts. We learn of clients who were ridiculed, and those who were promised help but were left with more problems. The authors also analyze Ryan Buell's book, PARANORMAL STATE: MY JOURNEY INTO THE UNKNOWN.

PARANORMAL STATE EXPOSED includes:

* Shocking new evidence.
* All episodes from seasons 1 through 5 and PARANORMAL STATE: THE NEW CLASS.
* Para-celebrity/former client Shannon Sylvia reveals PRS's deceptions.
* Production staff members share trade secrets.
* Featured para-celebrities and their questionable actions.
* Authors respond to the detractors.
* Two different break-downs of an episode that exposes the tricks.
* A new and revelatory ending!

Authors Kirby Robinson and Lisa Maliga spent countless hours viewing footage and listening to audio tracks. They interviewed former clients, production team members, PRS crew members, and various para-celebrities. The reader journeys behind the scenes of what might be the most problematic paranormal reality show to air on cable TV.

PARANORMAL STATE EXPOSED will keep the reader up past Dead Time – not in a state of fear -- but discovering the veils of secrecy and deception being lifted and the truth exposed.

PARANORMAL STATE EXPOSED is available on Kindle, Smashwords and B&N Nook.

The Paranormal Christian – Residual Musings

By Pastor Michael Frisbee, DD/DM

Even though I have been a studying Christian Demonologist for over 22 years now, and a practicing ordained deliverance pastor for over 17 years now, never do I assert that I know all.  There is always something to be learned, some “ah – ha” moment when a belief you held for a long time gets challenged.  I saw that happen during the Orlando seminar I held on Christian Demonology this past weekend.  When I presented to those in attendance the material and position that the current method of collecting EVP’s used on TV shows and mimicked by those who watch these shows is no different than doing a Ouija session, I saw a lot of light bulbs pop on in the eyes and faces of the attendees.

I had one of those “ah-ha” moments as well this week, which challenged my long held positions on residual haunting.  I had bought into the whole residual energy imprinting and replaying, and I should be ashamed for I am also a science guy, and totally ignored the Laws of Thermodynamics to hold to these beliefs.

What shook that position and belief, was an article written by my co-host on The Paranormal Christian, author of “Seeing Ghosts Through God’s Eyes”, and my friend, Rev. Mark Hunnemann.  His article is titled, “Musings About Residual Hauntings”.  The full text of what he wrote can be found here: http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=321910397845058 , and I highly recommend that you read it, especially if you are an investigator and researcher.

After reading his article, I did a lot of praying and some further reading.  I then sent Rev. Mark an email thanking him, for opening my eyes and my heart, for touching my spirit through God’s Word and wisdom.  This has affected me to the point I am changing my position on this area and adapting my seminar materials to reflect this change as well.

Here is an excerpt from Mark’s article:

For the sake of those without prior knowledge, a residual haunt is a paranormal hypothesis which states that inanimate materials can absorb some form of energy from living beings, during moments of high tension (eg traumatic death). This stored energy can be released, resulting in a display of the recorded activity. These "hauntings" are not intelligent but simply non-interactive recordings similar to a movie or a tape recorder.

Thomas Lethbridge spoke of this phenomenon in Ghost and Ghouls in 1961.  Earlier discussions of this theory date back to the late 19th century. The hypothesis was jump-started in the 1970's in the play “The Stone Tape”. Currently, residual haunt, like verbal solicitation of EVP's, is held so firmly that its truth is seldom questioned, except by a few academics. I will talk more about this next time, but the paranormal community is what sociologists would call a plausibility structure. It enables belief of certain unconventional concepts to be easily believed. Due to shared assumptions about reality and a common web of beliefs, there is a safe environment for certain concepts to be deemed plausible and firmly believed. Unconsciously, certain beliefs become axiomatic...unassailable. The notion of a residual haunt has attained such status, in my opinion, with virtually everyone in a monolithic consensus; just a few (one, that I'm certain of) in the paranormal community would take exception. The point being, there are psychological and sociological forces at work, which makes my attempt to persuade an especially challenging task. Lest you think my discussion of plausibility structures is a putdown (which it is not), the local church should be a plausibility structure...making folks feel safe to believe, in a culture which is becoming increasingly hostile to Christianity. It is simply a sociological perspective. Having blown the whistle on soliciting EVP's, this is a further attempt to help people I care about.

Let us think for a moment about the significant ramifications of this belief. Even if you jettison intelligent human haunt and poltergeist (as I have argued on here), it is still the belief of many Christian investigators that, over three-fourths of legitimate paranormal or supernatural activity is residual. The inference being that real demonic activity is a small percentage of true supernatural activity. A moments communion with common sense reveals the crucial role, for good or ill, which this omni-accepted belief entails. It either has tremendous explanatory power  (85% of paranormal phenomena), or Satan has us whipped. The stakes are high and Christians cannot afford to be wrong on this one--too much is at stake. Let me use an analogy to illustrate the latter--Satan has us whipped.. BTW, if you are feeling negativity in your gut right about now, it may be due to the influence of the plausibility structure. There is reason I mentioned it...

The drug cartels in Mexico and elsewhere take for granted that a certain number of drug shipments coming over our border will get nabbed. In fact, at times they will intentionally send a decoy in order to distract away from a larger shipment. The point being that the cartels are willing to take some losses, as long as the bulk of the drugs is getting across and their profits are running high. Similarly, if all residuals are really demonic, then the vast majority of demons will not be detected during investigations. Even if you do a walk through, quoting scripture, praying, and digital recorders running, that is not going to be sufficient in exposing all demonic activity. If a full cleansing (commanding in Jesus’ name any demons present to leave) is not done, then we have no biblical warrant to expect demons (especially stronger ones) to make their true identity known. Sure, the reading of the bible and prayer is irritating and painful, but all they have to do is ride it out...as long as they are not commanded in the name of Jesus to leave. The demon knows in advance that all it has to do is either shut up entirely or play-act as an imprinted memory, and they will be left alone. It is not uncommon for a demonically active location, to suddenly become very quiet when we come snooping around. Time is different for them...they can hide in a crawl space for weeks until the threat is over. Like the cartel, they know a certain number of detections or losses are inevitable, but as long as the majority of demons are identified as residual, then they are home free. Since 85% of this demonic activity is presupposed by investigators to be residual in nature, they can afford a few losses; the majority is slipping past and the human profit (carnage) is high. If demonic activity is relatively rare, then why are so many investigators having "visitors"...Because Ed Warren tended to "search the cars for drugs" via biblical provocation, his educated analysis was that about 50% of paranormal activity was demonic; when biblically provoked, the seeming non-interactive entity or activity suddenly became quite interactive! We need to ask: why was his percentage so much higher than ours today?

The Art Of Being A Jerk

By Reap Paden

In case you didn't know it, some people think I am a jerk. I am sometimes. I am going to share with you some of my beliefs and they way I go about things ....The art of being a jerk,if you will....

I have always figured people deserve some measure of respect until they deserve to lose that respect.

Always listen to the other side of the story, there are always two sides and the truth, almost always lies somewhere in the middle. There are some exceptions to this depending on the mental state of one or both sides.

If both parties in a dispute are reasonable people you can usually chalk up any differences to a misunderstanding of facts or actions.

Talking on the phone or in person for 5 minutes can settle a text-only dispute which has dragged on for 5 years.

Always admit when you are wrong and put more energy into admitting it than you did into being wrong in the first place.

Never assume you know the real story unless you were personally present for any and all events involved (and even then you may still be wrong).

Before you speak, write or act out about another persons actions on the ..Internet..,or anywhere else always remember those actions can never be taken back completely, ever.

Remember many people are quite different behind a keyboard than they are in real life. Many times even they are not aware of it.

Do not confuse facts with opinions. For example-

Fact - Helium is lighter than air.
Opinion - Balloons are pretty.

When someone offers an olive branch, never beat them with it. I can not stress this one enough. I have made many very good friends following this rule. It has sometimes caused me to be betrayed but the good FAR outweighs the bad effects of this rule.

Never make up stories or tell lies about people to save face....this one is a duh but I feel like it should be said.

Keep in mind everyone has made mistakes, everyone has baggage, EVERYONE. Anyone who says they have not or don't is lying.

Remember, many people learn from mistakes. Do not hold one mistake (or even two) against a person when they are trying to make things right.

Do not allow a person to say things about you which are untrue unchecked. This is not a good idea because humans have a tendency to view silence as supporting an accusation, besides that you should have enough self esteem to stand up for yourself. This does not mean becoming an 'instant asshole' it means addressing things true to your form and allowing people to figure out what rings true. If you are honest it does not matter if people believe you or not you know the truth.

Never allow one person's opinion (or a group's even) to drag you down. As long as you can look yourself in the mirror,in the eye for one minute then you usually are doing the best you can do.

There are times when you should keep your mouth shut and listen.....

There are times when no answer is the correct answer. I wish I could give you some hard rules on this....trust your instinct is the best I can do.

'Taking the high road' doesn't always mean not addressing things, it is the way you address things which indicates which 'road' your are taking.

Sometimes the low road is the only way to go.....make sure you get back on the right road ASAP, but a little detour can be good at times.

If you follow these rules then you can be assured people will think you are a jerk.....Speaking for myself...I am OK with it....
