Paranormal News Updates on the Good the Bad and the Ugly

Paranormal News Updates on the Good the Bad and the Ugly

Often times this blog writes itself with all the shenanigans that go on in the Paranormal Community. This week, there just seems to be so much to catch the public up on, I just couldn't write about one person. So, here's the NEWS UPDATE ON THE EYE ON THE PARANORMAL.

Update on the Christina George case; Sources close to the Eye report that the home owner whose items were allegedly stolen in a claim that the ancient statues were possessed by demons and needed to be further researched and then did not return them as the contract was written, reports that the district attorneys office is actively working on the case and looking to rule out paranormal star, John Zaffis, who was recently implicated in the crime as accepting stolen property and possibly still having possession of the items. Sources say, that Mr. Zaffis refused to contact the home owner who asked for a written statement that he was not involved and what happened between communication with George on the items in question to give to the District Attorney working on the case to admonish his involvement. So far, there is no word from Zaffis on that and questions are being raised to his involvement in the case.
Currently, Christina George is appearing to be hiding out and refusing to come forward to be served legal papers and the District Attorney's office is looking for leads on her where abouts. If anyone has information as to where she is residing, please contact our Paranormal Bureau of Investigations or contact me directly. (click here to contact me)
Also sources say that there are allegedly 5 items, two statues, one priceless vessel (or vase) and two other items that were taken without the owners permission that are allegedly in Carol Malone possession. (owner to Darkside Entertainment) (Note: Various Darkside Entertainment companies exist). Earlier this year, Christina George admitted on a radio show and can be found on Youtube, that she had possession of the statues and that she was not willing to return them, claiming they were possessed by demons and not safe for the home owners. She also implicated Zaffis involvement and discredited Malone's earlier statement that she had current possession of the items.
Sources say, that there may be many in this case that could be charged for their involvement and are taking the case seriously. If you have any information in this case, please contact the Paranormal Bureau of Investigation or me directly. (We will send you to the proper authorities.)
Also reported recently concerning Carol Malone and her Darkside Entertainment events; it appears that Carol's former partner, Todd McIsaac are not on speaking terms as per Facebook comments. Todd sited the departure of their partnership being because she offered 50% proceeds to him and then a like offer to another person, making the agreement to him questionable. Sources say that Carol allegedly had at one time, sold rights to her book, “The Stilletto Diaries” twice also. Darkside Entertainment whose name is shared by many other companies, has many events scheduled and sold several tickets in a prepayment arrangement of more then 60 days ahead. Selling tickets so far ahead is risky for consumers, as it voids possible refunds if the event is not held.. Use caution when buying any event ticket more then 60 days away and check refund policies.
Another story that was reported on the Eye was on a person that at one time claimed to have a PhD and a technical expert in the Paranormal by the name of David Rountree. ( He is well known for his morphing Elf persona “Gray Wolf” once seen in role playing events that turned into a Lakota (Native American) Wolf Medicine man complete with non authentic Indian costume that rivals Halloween costumes made in China. He is also known for his books on Physics and the Paranormal, as well as books on being the Medicine man expelling demons (something Lakota medicine men do not do) and how inaccurate they are on truth or science, proving that anyone can write a book, but, books based on lies do not sell. He is the new “tech guy” on the new television show “Ghost Stalkers”. There are many that are not pleased with this development and his “expertise” while misrepresenting the paranormal community.
In a developing story on the former Paranormal State star, Ryan D. Buell; who appears to be at it again with a new Facebook page on his surveys and asking for donations. Ryan earlier this year claimed to have had considerable problems with his account being frozen and not having funds available to give refunds. Where is the money? We would like to know. There is a current class action suit being filed for those ticket holders that have been bilked.
Someone posting on Ryan D. Buell's Facebook page as only PRS appears to not want to commit to any status or what is going on with his health in statements that appear to be contradictory within themselves and do not actually make sense and seem vague at best. We believe that the comments on his page by PRS to be that of his lawyer Robert Crook, (http://www.ryanbuell.net/about.html his artwork and mentioned on this page as his page https://www.facebook.com/RyanDBuell) being the way they are worded and rumors of his involvement within the workings of PRS.
Why not use a name if what they are saying is credible and why the vagueness? Well, we think it is to further illicit sympathy to get continued support in the way of donations. PRS is no longer associated with Penn State, it's offices and no longer residing on the campus. Any such survey or research is independent of any true college source and we invite people to ask questions on whom is gathering information and why, as well as details to a list of where the money goes and where it is spent, as any non-profit endeavor is obligated to do.
In another ongoing story, Brett Watson of Australia and Jerry Williams (aka Gerald Blanchard ll) have been trying to get their demonology school (http://www.crisedu.com) going and have been in the outs with their former partner Chuck Manning. Chuck reported to leaving the paranormal siting tiredness of the games and drama in the paranormal after a fallout with Jerry Williams and he reported to have sold and come to terms with Jerry for the demonology school website. On investigation by our associates, we found that Jerry was an alias and had been signing documents of ordination and certificates of education, including certificates stating “Doctrine of Demonology” (no such real title exist) using the alias and his real name. These documents include ordination and certification of Brett Watson, giving question to all legitimacy of the education and truthfulness to their real education and expertise. It was found that Virginia Blanchard, Jerry's wife, was also involved in signatures, as well as good friends residing nearby. Both Jerry and his wife appear to be bartenders working at a local bar according to their Facebook pages and not doctors of anything.
I advise anyone seeking out education in the field of demonology or wanting to know more, check to be sure they actually went to a real college and not one that appears to be self made with certification to fit that they self signed for what ever they are boasting. It is better to doubt their credentials than to pay for an education that is bogus.
I would like to take this space here to give a shout out to some that deserve great credit in the field and whom we endorse as legitimate and believe to hold the ethics, as well as the compassion, kindness and truthfulness that are exemplary to the field. One such person is my personal friend Edwin F. Becker, (http://www.edwinbecker.com/) author to several true accounts of the paranormal, including the first televised exorcism done in the early seventies of his home and writer to his story that was featured on Paranormal Witness, “True Haunting”. He and his wife Marsha, have shared their experiences often and help others seeking help in the way of advice and observations they learned in their own lives. They are forever kind, helpful and very well respected by all those that know them for a reason. If you want to know what the reality of a real haunting is like, check out Edwin F. Becker's website, as well as his many books.
Also, recently we interviewed a gentleman that owns a house that is located near the Sharon Tate home was and related Charles Manson murders were committed, called the house on Cielo Drive. His name is David Oman. (http://youtu.be/ro2CnkvgSXs Our interview with him.) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0464054/) His outlook and understanding of spirits is outstanding and respectful and we thought he deserved a shout out for his unique and caring approach to spirits that he shares with any that come to his home for a visit. (At least those willing to listen.) His respect rivals Native American ideals in the respect of the dead that we wish all understood. Give the show a listen, follow him and/or check out his home if you ever get a chance to do so first hand.
One last shout out is to the real parapsychologist that went to a real college to be that, Lloyd Auerbach, whose many interviews and insights are much appreciated and especially would like to thank his continued and worthwhile contributions to the field of parapsychology. (http://mindreader.com/) You can hear his candid interview here. (http://youtu.be/w2wfZHIPSKY) He is quite a interesting and compassionate person who truly uses his education in the field. We also think that his books are among the most useful out there.
Until next week... same place... same time... The truth is out there.  Check out the other great bloggers here on The Eye on the Paranormal!

Special Report - Ryan Buell & the Cancer that is PRS, Part I

By Kirby Robinson

This is a Special Report. The cancer that was and still is Paranormal State, Ryan D. Buell and the Paranormal Research Society – Part I.

NOTE: The staff of the American edition of the Eye on the Paranormal was not responsible for the production or posting of this blog. The staff of the Eye on the Paranormal – European Edition – is solely responsible.

Paranormal State’s lack of credibility as well as the questionable practices of Ryan D. Buell and the organization known as the Paranormal Research Society (PRS) were topics that I had hoped would fade away from my memory as well as the memories of the public. But due to the fact that Ryan and PRS have been scamming people over the sale of tickets for events or webinars that never happen (mind you these problems aren’t new, they were occurring as far back as 2008 when the show was still on the air.) Ryan and PRS are responsible for the cottage industry that was created by misinforming TV viewers of what happens during a paranormal investigation. Far worse was the false perception of what goes on during a demonic case. It motivated certain people with less than honorable motives to copy such actions and continue to damage both the credibility of the paranormal community and the public who turn to these fakers for help and knowledge and get neither in return.

Some of the cast have turned their appearances on the program into other media gigs. Others have not been so lucky. One such cast member is a gentleman now known as Michael Young. Back when he appeared on the show, he was known as Topher Michael Young.

To be fair we need to give you some back story. Topher was a very dedicated lad while affiliated with the PRS and was eager to please Mr. Buell. Topher used to help with monitoring the PRS board to make sure that no one questioned the validity of the show. He even appeared on a few episodes. In October 2008 when the first client told her story on the Eye on the Paranormal, raising questions about the show’s validity, he and a rabid band of attack dogs went on the warpath trying to destroy the client’s credibility. They even went so far as to say she was crazy or had her own credibility issues. Funnily enough, they felt her case was credible when they filmed it. Topher’s mother, who was promoting events in Las Vegas at the time, even approached myself as well as members of the Ghost Divas with offers to speak at an event that had something to do with vampires, S&M, leather, bondage, and kinky sex if we dropped our reporting on the subject. None of us accepted.

Topher was never close to the top of the food chain. He was never a fixture on the show and after a few years he left claiming that his views changed over time and that he became disillusioned with Buell.

Becoming disillusioned with a mentor is something I can understand, as I experienced that with one of my mentors, Dr. Gene Scott. His PhD was earned from Stanford University years ago and the school library had a copy of his doctorate dissertation. While I was around him, I watched a man go from a great teacher to one who no longer taught on any subject other than give me all your money. The last straw came when one Sunday he had the front row of the Los Angeles Theater, the home of his church at that time, filled with playmates, hookers, porn stars and exotic dancers. He later went onto marry one. After his death, Melissa Scott became the leader of the church. Here’s a link about Pastor Melissa Scott:

As I grew older and a little wiser in the Lord, my eyes began to see warning signs. Dr. Scott was a big fan of Ed Warren and communicated with him. Things that were shared from the conversations were things that every beginning demonologist should know. I was always like yeah everyone knows that was the meat from Ed Warren’s teaching. So I can understand his struggles but it seems that Mr. Young speaks and thinks with a forked tongue and mind.

On one hand he disagrees with Mr. Buell’s views and management style, on the other hand he claims that everything was on the up and up on the show and it just might have been exaggerated a little bit.

Exaggeration is when you tell your date that the McDonald’s she is being taken to for dinner is fine dining. Lying is when you tell a client and the viewing public that there are GHOSTS and DEMONS around every corner and in every basement and attic.

He claims that if an error is found in the show that has been all explained away and the record is clear. If you question his or PRS versions of events then you’re jealous, you want your own reality show or you have some kind of agenda.

All are talking points that PRS has used for years.

But Topher is a very dangerous sort of animal as the spiritual cancer that affected the show and all those around it has affected him.

For a while, he has run a Facebook page called Worst Paranormal. Anyone with paranormal and supernatural claims better be able to back them up, which is all well and good. Does he go after well known paracelebrities? No, only mom and pop paranormal groups. Does he go after all Psychics and Mediums including those well known in the paranormal field? Those featured on Paranormal State? No. Only those that the media has decided are far game. It’s like Theresa Caputo, the Long Island Medium, if it had not been for Ron Tebo and Radar Online we would still only get feel good stories about her. Now it is cool to go after her. Does Topher go after big named TV show hosts like Zak Bagans and Amy Allan? No. He does go after minor internet hosts. Now he says demons do not exist. Does he go after some of the big named demonologists and pastors that take on demonic cases? No. He goes after small fry like myself who do not claim to be in the paranormal at all.

Topher suffers from a disease known as Facebook Paranormal Nobody Syndrome. It affects many folks. You get a Facebook page, call it paranormal something or other, get a few hundred friends, maybe a small website, and then your ego starts to grow and you think  you’re somebody.

And if you refuse to play along with Topher and PRS, then you have something to hide.

In the future parts of this series we will take a deeper look into the cancer that was and is Paranormal State, Ryan Buell, and PRS. We will show that Mr. Young’s world falls apart when the light of the truth is shined on it.

Parts 2 and 3 will run July 4 and 5.

How Bottom Feeders Are Feasting Off of Ryan Buell

By Reporter X

It is late in the day, I should haul my tired old body off to bed, as the start of a new day is dawning, but there are things I must address.

I am happy to return to where my internet journey began. What took place at that other site will be a matter for a future blog, but we are happy to back here. We take great pleasure in noting that those who attacked me and my staff with claims that we lied and had our facts wrong are now gone. A house built on lies will surely fall and they all went away.

What to focus on now? We do have further reports about the validity of the Jennifer Arnold case. We have a growing file on G.O.N.E.R.S. (Ghosts of New England Research Society), concerning faking evidence. We have a pile of cases from both men and woman who have had contact with many of the well-known demonologists and they claim to have suffered unwanted sexual contact from these alleged demonologists. We also have numerous questions from people inside and outside of the paranormal community concerning what is going on with Mr. Ryan D. Buell.

I have run into Mr. Buell many times over the past few years, both while his show was in production and afterwards. (Towards the end of the fourth season, he even made an effort to have me do a guest appearance, which I turned down). I have always found him to be pleasant and kind. In fact, he reminded me of writer/director Quentin Tarantino, whom I had a few drinks with after he won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival for Pulp Fiction. Quentin was trying to please everyone and himself at the same time (which cannot be done and if he had not realized that he would not have the success he is now having).

I am not going to address the issues related to the problems of Paranormal State, as others have done that. (Read Mr. Robinson's two books on that subject). What I will do is ask some questions that seem to be on peoples' minds. I think the public deserves answers to them.

People have asked:

1 Do you think he is telling the truth? Is he really sick?

There have been cases of people faking cancer within the paranormal community; the most notable is that of Donna Lacroix. Google her name along with faking cancer. You might recall that she was a smalltime player with Ghost Hunters, and she went on the Ghost Divas and claimed that Ghost Hunters faked things. Later, when she tried to get on other parareality shows, she encountered nothing but those proverbial doors slammed in her face. She then tried to backtrack and went to war with many paracelebrities.

I personally would say I do not think Ryan is faking his illness.

2 What is his illness?

Cancer.

3 What type of cancer?

We can only guess, as this was posted on the PRS website:

I was wondering if we could do something special for him on Sunday, July 8th. The purple ribbon is the color of pancreatic cancer awareness. So I made this graphic in two variations which I ask if you guys could use in any way, shape or form. Or get creative, wear something purple and take a photo and send it to to him. What's that? You say you have a pet and a bucket of purple paint? What a perfect combination!*

No official word has ever been given about his cancer so we must guess that this is the public admission (or leak) that has been kicked about on many websites and Facebook pages.

Pancreatic cancer is very serious. Here is a link that gives you all the details concerning that type of cancer and its treatment:

4 Is Sergey upset about this being leaked to the public?

Yes, we have seen some heated posts from Sergey on this matter. If you go to his Facebook page, you will notice a photo of Mr. Buell looking very thin and frail with the word cancer looming above it and a slogan about soldiering on.

Now match this up with his request to honor pancreatic cancer and ask how is that a leak?

5 If Ryan Buell knew he was sick then why did he announce having a spiritual retreat in August?

This retreat has been very heavily promoted, and has struck me as odd. Having attended a number of these events as a participant, as well as teacher, the activities listed are not events associated with spiritual retreats. Spiritual retreats generally focus on prayer and meditation. But here, we see:

~ Open bar

~ Game room

~ Night-Time Scary Story Boat Ride

~ Horror films

And, it's only a 72-hour weekend retreat.

Here is an example of what will occur at a weekend Christian retreat: http://www.ehope.org/christian-retreat-weekends

The only reference to a spiritual retreat is some kind of guided meditation. (I know of no one in PRS who has the training to conduct a meditation of any kind). If a person does not know the subject well, people can open themselves to demonic influences.

6 Has anyone from PRS commented on Ryan's illness?

That has also been troubling us. If we only look at the major players in the organization, it was total silence until the night of July 19. (More on that later).

Chip Coffey - His Facebook page features self-promotional posts and no comment on Ryan's illness until an appearance on Dave Schrader's radio show opened up for him.

Sergey - Nothing outside of the cancer poster, and the odd post from the other day.

Eilfie Music - Only the cancer poster.

Chad Calek - Nothing but a few personal posts and photos of him and Ryan.

On the other hand, over at the Eye on the Paranormal, which broke the story, they asked for prayers of healing.

We heard Ryan and Chad were both upset that people were talking about his illness. But now the posts are gone.

One of my assistants caught them before their removal. We will share them minus any commentary.

First, you will see Ryan's Tweets (read from the bottom up).

Everyone is acting bizarre around me. Please, either treat me normal or leave me be. It's too much. Goodbye for now.

I'm going to go dark for a bit. Its too weird. b/c I wish you could experience the weirdness on my end. The looks, the "funeral" e-mails..

And please stop acting as if I'm already dead. Please stop. My family sees this stuff. Our lives are already altered. Please stop.

I wish I didn't have it. But everyone needs to chill out. Because you are making me weak. Berating my friend cause he didn't tweet? WTF?

He doesn't need to comment to the world. I didn't want ANYONE to know. He kept it a secret for a months. I wish no one knew.

Dear fans, I saw tweets berating @AGHChad b/c he didn't comment on my illness... is it your f***ing business? He's my friend.

Chad's posts (Read from bottom up).

Ry's good. He'll always be good. To those who respected my silence and Ry's decisions to discuss this in a fashion he sees fit... thank you.

I've received a few pissed off pm's today, both eluding that I'm "heartless" for not publicly commenting on @ryan_buell's medical diagnosis.

This produced a long response from Ryan or someone working for Ryan (as we have noticed for some time, someone is posting as Ryan but their writing styles do not match).

Dear friends, PLEASE READ. Ryan has decided to take a very overdue personal time off from the online world to focus on treatment, a book deadline and some good old time off. You know he is always working. But don't worry, this page will be filled with updates on Ryan's well-being. But he will be offline for a while. A small staff is taking over, and this may be a blessing in disguise because now we can take the time to show you more of Ryan. We can confirm that Ryan and... PRS are officially relocating to Raleigh, North Carolina. We spent some time looking at a few cities and decided that was the best fit. Raleigh will be the new PRS headquarters. So look out Raleigh! A branch will still remain at Penn State. The PRS Bureau, (www.paranormalbureau.com) will also have its headquarters in Raleigh and with an office in Los Angeles. Ryan will be working and when he isn't working he will be starting a new form of treatment in August. And when he isn't getting treatment, Ryan will be working. And eventually we take a baseball bat and hit him over the head to make him sleep. Although Ryan won't be on this page personally, please don't think this page will be empty or just filled with ads. Actually it will be busier. We are going to film videos of Ryan and more. We have all kinds of ideas and we welcome your input. At times he will answer your questions and then we will post other videos documenting his life and of course news of what he is up to. Ryan also wanted to have us post this message: "to all of you who participated in the Purple Ribbon Campaign for my birthday, I was so deeply honored and touched, that I would be dishonoring you if I said anything more, because I am still, days later, speechless. I know this isn't enough because I wish I could call all of you to thank you. But I saw every one and I saved every one. My staff helped me. And I am turning it in to a scrap book. So if you participated, you will be in a book that will sit by my bed and every day I will look at it for courage. And then to those who called in to the radio show, you made my night. You are my inspiration to fight and to better myself. With love, RYAN." So sit tight guys, Ryan will be offline, but Ryan news and inside videos and pictures will be coming daily.
