Did the Angels and Women Mate? Part 2

Continued from Did the Angels and Women Mate? Part 1

Did the angels take and mate with women we now conclude our findings.  We learned several points of data, with the greatest being the angels did NOT marry or take for themselves daughters of men.

So let’s look for more evidence now in Gen. 6, specifically then what do we have here in verse 4? As we now examine it and if you did not know Genesis is a book of genealogies—it is a book of the families. The sons of God is referring to the godly line who have come down from Adam through Seth, and the daughters of men belong to the line of Cain.   So, what you have here now is an intermingling and intermarriage of these two lines, until finally the entire line is totally corrupted (well, not totally; there is one exception and this is Christ Jesus). That is the picture that is presented to us here in this recording of the intermingled lines of taking ungodly women for wives.

The godly men took for themselves wives of all; that is, of the ungodly as well as the godly families, without any discrimination. "Whom they chose," not for the godliness of their lives, but for the goodliness of their looks.  The ungodly mothers will not train up children in the way they should go according to the Lord God Almighty; and husbands who have taken the wrong step of marrying ungodly wives cannot prove to be very exemplary or authoritative fathers.

Up to this time they may have been consistent as the sons of God in their outward conduct, but a laxity of choice proves a corresponding laxity of principle. The first inlet of sin prepares the way for the flood-gates of iniquity. It is easy to see that now the degeneracy of the whole race will go on at a rapid pace and why humans need a Savior to deliver us from being ungodly.

Let’s look at the verse “they took them wives”, could possibly be more than one for each of them, after the example of those wicked families into which they were matched; of all which they chose, i.e. loved and liked, as the word choosing is taken, Psalm 25:12, Psalm 119:173, Isaiah 1:29, Isaiah 42:1, compared with Matthew 12:28. This is noted as the first error, that they did promiscuously choose wives, without any regard to their sobriety and religion, minding only the pleasing of their own fancies and lusts, not the pleasing and serving of their Lord and Maker, nor the obtaining of a godly seed, which was God’s end in the institution of marriage, Malachi 2:15, and therefore should have been theirs too.

Folks I recognize, and I want to insist upon it, that many fine teachers/clergy take the opposite view that the 'sons of God; are actually angels from Heaven above who did this act. Therefore, if you accept that view, you will be in good company with those who also succumb to this falseness too.  However, I am sure that most of you want to be right and will want to go along with the word of God, not man with what ‘they feel’ is proper.

Lastly, the idea that angels had sexual relations with earthly women is preposterous. As one can imagine, such speculation in the scriptures provides ample opportunity for the heathen world to exploit the scriptures.

Countless books, movies, documentaries, and false religions have exploited such misinterpretations of Genesis 6:1-6. One such exploit is the alleged lost Biblical BOOK OF ENOCH, which teaches that fallen angels had physical intimacy with earthly women that produced offspring 450-feet tall?

Without a doubt, the primary claim of the Book of Enoch is that fallen angels had sex with human women and produced 450-feet tall giants upon the earth. This teaching is ridiculous, unscriptural, and has no solid evidence to support it (Biblically or scientifically). This is another sound reason as to why the Book of Enoch should continue to be rejected as it is nonsense.

If, as some theologians believe angels did have sex with earthly women, then why has it not occurred since Genesis 6:1-6? The scriptures are not silent on this matter, as we have read in Mark 12:25, for "they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven." The demonic succubus (a female demon) and the incubus (a male demon) are believed by demonology experts to have sex with sleeping humans. Of course, this is not a scriptural teaching. Angels cannot marry, nor be given in marriage.

For it is not to angels only that the term "sons of Elohim," or "sons of Elim," is applied; but in Psalm 73:15, in an address to Elohim, the godly are called "the generation of Thy sons," i.e., sons of Elohim; in Deuteronomy 32:5 the Israelites are called His (God's) sons, and in Hosea 1:10, "sons of the living God;" and in Psalm 80:17, Israel is spoken of as the son, whom Elohim has made strong.

These passages show that the expression "sons of God" cannot be elucidated by philological means, but must be interpreted by theology alone. Moreover, even when it is applied to the angels, it is questionable whether it is to be understood in a physical or ethical sense. The notion that "it is employed in a physical sense as nomen naturae, instead of angels as nomen officii, and presupposes generation of a physical kind," we must reject as an unscriptural and gnostic error!

In addition, the entire suggestion that God allowed angels, which would have possessed FULL knowledge of divine realities, to tempt mankind is against the plainest teachings of the Scriptures. 1st Corinthians 10:13 states... "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." It would have been extremely UNCOMMON for women to be tempted by angels into marriage, not to mention the fact that the temptation would have been ABOVE THAT YE ARE ABLE.

We do know that there were giants in the Old Testament, as Goliath himself was 9' 6" tall (1st Samuel 17:4); however, as mentioned earlier, Genesis 6:1-6 fails to state directly that the "giants" of those days were the offspring monsters of bizarre extraterrestrial marriages.

Carefully notice Genesis 6:4 again... "There were giants in the earth in those days; and ALSO AFTER THAT, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown." "Also" means in addition to. "After that" means later. Clearly, even from reading the Bible at a childlike level, it is obvious that the "giants" were not the same people as the "mighty men which were of old, men of renown."

Remember people if it doesn’t line up with the word of God properly then we must reject it as falseness from the pit of Hell.

New Age Seductions

By V. K. Bronz

I would like to share a personal experience I had about 37 years ago. I realize there are many who don’t believe in God or the supernatural abilities people have, so I ask that you please don’t just dismiss what I have written the minute you see the word God. After all personal experiences should not be pushed aside just because our personal beliefs are being tested.

When I first got saved I was totally ignorant of the gifts the Lord has given each Christian that he might overcome the wiles of the enemy, never the less the Lord taught me quickly.

I had a voracious appetite for the Lord and I wanted to know everything I possibly could regarding the things of the Lord; I read and read everything I could get my hands on, until one day I was reading an auto biography of a turn of the century saint, As I read I felt in my spirit a change of the spirit behind the words. What was even more strange, is I recognized the “feel” of the spirit that was in those words. I know this is a strange statement but as I read that autobiography it was written by one person and the sentence I had just read was written by a different person; I could feel the difference plain as day. I looked at the producers of the book and sure enough it was the “spirit” of the person I had recognized when I read that one sentence!

The producers of that book had changed the wording to have it mean something entirely different than what the original author had intended.

Fast forward thirty years later and I was writing on the holiness of God when I noticed in the footnotes of a very old book a reference to “The Book of Enoch”. Somewhere out there was supposedly another book of the bible that was not included in the bible. This book had been “found” during the second century.

I began to research and quickly found that this “lost” book of the bible had been translated in the seventies. I began to read it and was so blessed by the praises of our God expressed by the Angels and the story of Enoch’s close knit little family sharing the word to each other. What word you say, back then before it was written, the wonderful knowledge the Angels came down and began to share with them. Yes, this book said the Angels came down and began to share all the hidden knowledge of the creation of the world. They introduced themselves giving their names and who they were. I felt a check in my spirit (unease) because it has been my experience Angels never point to themselves they point you to God. I pushed the check aside because their praise of God had touched me so.

As I read my spirit kept feeling a coldness almost like what you see in some of these movies out now that are all black and dark metallic looking and feeling. I pushed it aside and kept reading because after-all the angels were praising God so beautifully. When it came time for the Angels to explain to Enoch (the angels had taken him to heaven to show the wonders of God) who that third person was with God and the Holy Spirit, they didn't say he would be the savior of the world they did say he was the son of god but no mention of the sinless lamb of God. It was like oh that’s the son of God. Period. On to next subject. The red flags flew, the alarm bells rang, yet I still dismissed this by thinking, well this is before the Lord came to earth .

I also took notice that every time the Angels were in heaven with Enoch and they saw God, he was always at a distance and was not approachable. Now if God had sent his Angels to tell this little family of Adam and Eve all the secrets of the universe why would he never have anything to do with Enoch when he came to heaven? Remember Enoch walked with God and was not. God walked with him on the earth their relationship was so close that he took him to heaven without death on a chariot. And God is our Father he has a loving father’s heart, why would there be no fellowship with Enoch like there was on earth.

As I came to the end of the story there was reference to a “Book of Noah” so I quickly read it. I was so put off by the blatant fantastical description of Noah’s son Lemech sitting up at his birth praising god with bazaar looking features of red eyes and snow white hair and skin, but as I read it I felt that same coldness I felt with “The Book of Enoch”.

When I was finished reading the Holy Spirit prompted me to go to the word; as I began to read the word of God I felt the familiar sweet soft loving presence of the Lord who is the word, as I read I immediately knew the cold distant dead word I had just read was NOT from God. Not only did I feel the presence of the Lord as the word, I had a vision; the life that is the word was coming off of the page like a fog and entering into me. I began to cry and thank the Lord for his Holy Spirit who leads us into all truth; at that moment I knew if I had received that false book I would have received the false “demon” or spirit that was attached to it and forever more it would have perverted the true word of God in me. I was and still am shocked at the enemy’s ability to be the angel of light, there seemed to be no difference between him and the Lord. The difference is indiscernible; had it not been for the loving Lord showing me, it would have fooled me.

Oh people, this is what This New Age has done, authors and preachers take what feels good and sounds good twisting the truth just enough to get us to except it, using a different word that sounds close, changing other peoples words to mean what benefits them and in receiving what they say we receive damnation because we are excepting demons unaware. Even the number one bible translator in the world; Wycliffe, has fallen. They have taken the words Father and son out of the bible translations because it offends Muslims. No longer will people read Jesus is the son of God but now they have changed it to he is Lord. No longer will people read God is our Father but it will read Allah. I was tempted to do the same when I wrote this article. I knew the minute I mentioned the word God many would stop reading; but I can’t let the desire to have my experience heard cause me to omit part of the truth. I would be just as guilty. I feel so sorry for those so afraid of having their beliefs challenged that they can’t even respect each other enough to hear what they are saying.

But then again if we read more of other peoples words than Gods we won’t know him, just a shadow of him and The age old trick of Satan, to take the truth and ever so slightly twist it so it no longer means what God said, but now is a pathway to hell, will be effectively used on us.

Anytime we are told there is hidden knowledge or secrets no one else knows BEWARE this is where the Mormons got their religion. The “Angels” told John Smith the secrets of attaining paradise. Anytime anyone such as Rick Warren or any person tries to tell you your purpose is something different than Loving the Lord God with all of your heart soul mind and body run like hell. If there is a supernatural world out there then it stands to reason there has to be the one who created it. There is nothing more glorious and holy then being given the honor and position of Sons of God.

The Paranormal Christian - Deceptive Doctrines of the Occult

By Dr. Michael Frisbee, DD/DM

Over the last 30 years, the Occult has been injecting itself and its deceptive doctrines into the paranormal field, spiritual warfare and demonology.  This presents a dangerous situation for people seeking information and education as a demonologist or paranormal investigator.  Considering it is the spiritual that is being sought and hunted, one would think that people would give higher credence to the one true source of the spiritual, our Heavenly Father.

Unfortunately, they do not.  The Bible is given almost no consideration, the only true source of knowledge that directly relates to the spiritual.    It teaches us of the spiritual war all around us (Ephesians 6:10-20), it teaches us of the gifts of the Holy Spirit to be used in this battle (1 Corinthians 12:1-11).  It speaks in volumes of Jesus Christ’s ministry in the Gospels and Epistles of the Bible, outlining the spiritual ministry He presented.

The occult HATES anything to do with Jesus Christ, the Bible, and God.  They often mimick and twist, defile and mock, that which they hate so much, all to try to bring Man into bondage to Satan, instead of being free in Christ.  One of these mimicries of God’s creations, the inerrant Word of God, is the Book of Enoch.

The Book of Enoch is considered by those ignorant of the scriptures and invested in the occult, as being a lost book of the Bible.  This is of course a lie.  It outlines what is claimed to be the words of Enoch, descendant of Adam, talking about many mysteries, of the fallen angels that had become demons, the names of demons and of angels, etc.  However, there are many, many problems with the Book of Enoch, in fact, only one church considers it to be a God inspired work, and that is the Ethiopic Church.

Jewish religious books that were written during the Old Testament period can be divided into three basic categories. First, there are the books accepted by all – the Hebrew Scriptures. Second, there are the books that are accepted by some – the Old Testament Apocrypha. Finally, there are a number of books that are rejected by all – the Pseudepigrapha or forgeries.

The Book of Enoch falls in the final category – the Pseudepigrapha – thus a FORGERY!

Enoch, descendant of Adam, allegedly penned the Book of Enoch. It consists of five sections containing 108 chapters. Within the Book of Enoch it is claimed that Enoch was given a revelations from the Lord. While a number of manuscripts were found among the Dead Sea Scrolls, there is no evidence whatsoever that these were authored by Enoch.

The Book of Enoch discusses human history from the start to the finish. In each of the five sections the theme of angels coming down from heaven and marrying earthly women runs through. This union produced giants 450 ft tall who became evil and violent. Because of the sin of these giants God destroyed the earth with a flood in the days of Noah. This first judgment was given as a warning of judgment that is to come at the end of human history. Thus the Book of Enoch understands the "sons of God" in Genesis 6:1-4 to refer to fallen angels.

What of the actual Biblical Enoch?  Enoch is one of the two people in the Bible taken up to heaven without dying (the other being Elijah), as the Bible says "And Enoch walked with God, and he was not; for God took him." (Genesis 5:24; see also Hebrews 11:5). Most commonly, the phrase "Book of Enoch" refers to 1 Enoch, which is wholly extant only in the Ethiopic language.

The biblical book of Jude seemingly quotes from the Book of Enoch in verses 14-15, “Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: ‘See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones to judge everyone, and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.’” But this does not mean the Book of Enoch is inspired by God and should be in the Bible.

Jude’s quote is not the only alleged quote in the Bible from a non-biblical source. The Apostle Paul quotes Epimenides in Titus 1:12 but that does not mean we should give any additional authority to Epimenides’ writings. The same is true with Jude, verse 14. Jude quoting from the book of Enoch in Jude verse 9 does not indicate the entire book is inspired, or even true. All it means is that particular verse is true. It is interesting to note that no scholars believe the Book of Enoch to have truly been written by the Enoch in the Bible. Enoch was seven generations from Adam, prior to the Flood (Genesis 5:1-24). Evidently, though, this was genuinely something that Enoch prophesied – or the Bible would not attribute it to him, “Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men…” (Jude 14). This saying of Enoch was evidently handed down by tradition, and eventually recorded in the Book of Enoch.

The Bible is readable and tells a story from cover to cover.  Conversely, the Book of Enoch mocks the very Word of God, quoting phrases haphazardly without any meaningful logic or order.  Add to this a bunch of uninspired, unholy doctrine, makes the Book of Enoch a ridiculous piece of literature to even consider inspired by God.  The Book of Enoch is an occult deception that will lead you into the senseless mysticism of pagan religion.  The credibility of the Word of God is under malicious attack.

The Book of Enoch also uses unfamiliar terms such as the "Lord of Spirits" and the "Head of Days."  These terms are foreign to the Word of God.  The messiah is NOT directly mentioned.  The ambiguous mention of what may or may not be Jesus Christ in the Book of Enoch, is eerily reminiscent of Freemasonry.  It is worthy to note that Christ's deity is not evidenced in the Book of Enoch.

It appears that many statements in the Book of Enoch were taken from the Bible, and then built around occult doctrine.  Many terms from the Biblical Book of Revelation are quoted in the Book of Enoch; but without any sense or reason.  All 66 Books of the Word of God perfectly intertwine with each other, presenting a clear prophetic picture.  The Book of Enoch doesn't offer anything of doctrinal value, because its bizarre teachings stand alone, unable to be supported with Scriptures.  Some defenders of the Book of Enoch contend that Jesus often quoted from the Book of Enoch.  Prove it!  Every Scripture Jesus ever quoted is found in the Old Testament, without any reference to a Book of Enoch.
