WANTED AND NEEDED....COMMON SENSE THINKING

By Reverend Mark Hunnemann

Last week we talked about the importance of critical thinking/logic, which is simply common sense stated differently.

Arguments consist of two parts--premise/s (which are reasons given), and the conclusion itself. Premises/reasons are given to make the conclusion plausible. The art of critical thinking is to analyze carefully the premises we deem persuasive for the conclusion we hold..often fiercely.

Hey, we all make mistakes in reasoning, but surely we would desire to minimize their occurrence. However, what I like about logic is that it reveals when we are so wed to some position, that we close our ears and eyes to any evidence that may challenge our beloved belief. Surely that is a good thing!

With minimal comment, I want to list the top-few most frequent errors in logic (common sense) that WE commit re:a whole host of subjects, with special emphasis on biblical  interpretation and the paranormal. Soon, I will list fundamental rules of hermeneutics, which closely align with logic, and show even more clearly how to understand what the bible says re:the afterlife.

What I list, someone else may add thus and so. Thus is the nature of inductive logic.....

1. Though not a fallacy, when we are arguing our case, we must clarify our terms...define them carefully.

2. Ad Hominem Argument--Disputing a position or argument by attacking or criticizing its source.Talk radio hosts commit this frequently.

3. Straw Man--disputing a position by exaggerating it, misrepresenting it, or otherwise distorting it. Putting the worst possible spin on an opponents's ideas. For example, when my view is called "fundamentalist". that implies stupidity and lack of intelligence.

4. Hasty conclusion--also known as over-generalizing. A powerful anecdotal experience has misled many otherwise solid Christians.I have yet to meet anyone (exorcists, etc.) who has had an experience similar to what I had (I have to leave details ambiguous). The point being is that nobody has had a more powerful display of supernatural power, and the source IS DEMONIC. Don't drone on about what your read...I have seen and felt it..and it is demonic.Using bad analogies is another way of committing this fallacy.

5. Group think--when loyalty to a group values affects one's own judgment in ways that range from the amusing to the dangerous. I have written re: "Plausibility Structures" in which we seek safety in groups which make it easy for us to believe in commonly held, but not rationally defensed, beliefs.

6. Red Herring--this ia an attention span fallacy. Amused to death, as Postman said, we are now unable to follow a sustained logical argument, since we are addicted to constant stream of vivid images..This attention span fallacy works best on those who are unable to stay focused long enough to notice that the question answered was not the question asked. My son Jack is very good at spotting this.

7. Wishful thinking--this is basically a refusal to believe the truth.....known as "Ostrich fallacy." In prelude to my book, I pled with folks to avoid this fallacy. If conclusion is not in line with what they believe, then many will not even read differing opinion, no matter how serious the issue.

8. Argument from Popularity--if "everybody in their group  believes it, it must be true." My parents taught me to not follow the crowd. Just because an issue (e.g. residual energy) is universally accepted by paranormal community, does not prove it is right.

How does each one of these fallacies effect what you believe? Are you persuadable? "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge."  No tonnage of anecdotal evidence--especially given Satan's deception--can compare with the clarity of God's Word.

Think clearly for God's glory.....Mark

Sanity's Twin; Kissing up to the Devil

You know, you run into a lot of folks in the paranormal.  Most of them are fine and even if they exaggerate a ghost story, they are basically good law abiding people.  Sometimes, you run into some that are really bad and even down right evil.  The kind you know would be in jail if they got caught or at least serving community service for their decisions or perhaps others that should be locked in a mental hospital.  The other kind here are the ones that seem to be good, but, are not entirely and they cross the line into being supporters of those who are bad and they may even do things of an immoral nature and even against the law for the wrong reasons.  Aiding and abetting a criminal is usually thought of as a crime, especially in racketeering, fraud, and theft among other criminal charges.  So, it’s important to bring out the importance of the support network of these types of people that appear to be doing this, as there is a real risk of them being involved in something they didn’t realize they were involved in.

For some people, it’s a no brainer when other people are doing something stupid and crossing a line where it’s considered criminal behavior or unacceptable by social standards at least and behavior that is considered socially wrong.  For others, they tend to be ones that think that other’s behaviors do not affect them.  They do.  If you hang with a thief and your family and friends know it, they are likely to warn you, tell you not to bring this person around and even avoid you because of it.  It seems in the paranormal, people think that it’s some how different.  It’s not.  If you hang with immoral people that scam innocent people and steal items or money from others, (or any type of criminal behavior) it WILL reflect on you and it also shows your true character.  People will make assumptions about you by those who you befriend and especially by those you stick up for.

Now, on occasion I have friends that I’ll catch doing some criminal or immoral crap or actively supporting those that do.  Sometimes, they are friends of friends on Facebook.  One such person was friend of a friend who was David Rountree, a sound engineer from New Jersey and paranormal researcher/investigator.  He was a long time friend of Darlene’s from back in 2007 in her Paranormal Police days and a member of that group that did paranormal fraud exposing.  She actively supported him many times in the past and had with me a few times.  You see, he was a person I just did not like and didn't believe was on the up and up.  Sometimes, it’s just a hunch.  With him, he had been on my show before and I exposed him.  I’m not alone out there in how I feel.  David has a problem thinking he is far smarter then anyone else with his quantum theories and physics talk and tends to push his air of superiority off onto others rudely.  It appears for all his great superior intellect he only has 12 reviews on his book that is all about paranormal “technology”.  Intelligence is measured by how well you communicate with others more then how well you can pretend to rant about string theories and the mysteries of the universe.

I know at one point, David talked some crap about me to Darlene, because she told me so.  One thing about Darlene, she’s a very loyal friend and we are also fairly close.  You can’t get between me and her, it just won’t happen.  We think too much on the same page here.  So when David did this, it didn't sit to well with her for a while.  But, she refused to unfriend him.  I did tell her too… because she’s my friend and I didn't want her burnt and I usually do warn people.  Most never listen.

Billy, a tech guy for the radio show I do, made a video on his own of his cat and made it appear to float in the air.  Now, normally I just do not approve of people doing videos with an affect and then putting them out there allowing people to think it’s real.  He did a good enough job that the video went viral.  He did this as a test to see how people would react, especially his own team of paranormal researchers.  The guy is 23 and didn't really realize the response he would get from the paranormal world and it wasn't good.  However, the criticisms were predominately from people that were long time haters of me and there were a lot of people who believed the video until he let them know it was a test.

Now, one of the people that commented on Billy’s video was David Rountree who used the opportunity to slam Billy and attempted to link what Billy did on his own to me, my radio station and my co-host Darlene and use it to draw a conclusion that WE did this for attention.  Its old “they must be in it together” thinking like we all coordinate everything in sync with some ulterior sinister motive.  In reality, they know it isn't so and really do not care and use it to defame someone.  You will often see people doing this using flimsy excuses and off the wall conclusions that have more of a motive for their defaming comments then any real truth.

I hated to tell Darlene “I told you so.” But, it’s what happens that I have seen over and over.  People that have something to hide tend to oust themselves so many times with us we rarely have to go find them, they come to us this way.

At about the same time as this, David was promoting events of a certain person named Carol.  It turns out that Carol Malone featured formerly in The Eye on the Paranormal after injecting herself into a case of stolen property stolen by fake psychic Christina George while trying to convince the family they were demonic and also involves authorities, now appears to be also advertising and selling tickets to an event that she does not appear to have secured the venues first and to according to David Rountree’s post.  Carol appears to be saying people are being ripped off, but, she lays blame to someone else… but…

On closer inspection of the post it mentioned Haunted Entertainment. On the post for the event, it clearly has Carol Malone’s name on it and directions on how to get to the ticket site to purchase tickets.  This brings you to Carol Malone’s Event Brite ticket sales for her company Dark Side Entertainment.  Now the problem is, just as Ryan Buell’s events that were advertised and the venues never booked, these events (3 of them for Dark Side Entertainment) were asking for prepayment of 60 days before the event for tickets.  They also asked for a down payment of half of the VIP package.  ($350 and half is $175) This means, that people have no way to get refunds from Paypal or their credit cards if they cancel because more then 60 days will make them ineligible for refunds from them due to policies that Paypal and most credit cards have.  Not to mention stating a problem of selling tickets and people not getting refunds on the other person named on the poster by Carol Malone, who has already been mentioned in these blogs.  We are currently investigating this.

Please be aware of people selling tickets in advance of 60 days or more or asking for prepayment or deposits that happen way ahead of events and understand that if the event planner or management decides to cancel as they did with all the Ryan Buell events, you will have little recourse to get a refund of your money. Call the venues first and be sure they are indeed booked and paid for first before purchasing tickets. Personally, I would steer clear of the whole event.

As for David Rountree and his defense of Carol and promoting her event on his site and then later back talk about it behind Carol’s back while insulting Darlene yet again to her friend?  Well, he’ll have his own demons to deal with after this.

There is such a thing as integrity in this field and believe me, it is alive and well with many in the field that are yet great people.

Dalai Lama: 'Hope for the Best - Prepare for the Worst'

Interview by Matthias von Hein

On the sidelines of his visit to Hamburg, the Dalai Lama talked exclusively to DW about his optimism for Tibet, the situation in Iraq and Syria, and the growing number of Tibetan Buddhists in China.

DW: Your Holiness, China is becoming more powerful, both economically and politically. Beijing is also using its power to increasingly isolate you – the face of the struggle for meaningful Tibetan autonomy. What do you think: If China had been that powerful already in 1989, would you have been awarded the Nobel peace prize?

Dalai Lama: I have completely retired from my political responsibilities since 2011. The nature of your question is rather political. However, since you ask that question: Yes, the People's Republic of China is gaining more strength economically and militarily. But, in the meantime, we can see that a number of Chinese very much support our basic rights because we are not seeking independence.
We decided as early as 1974 that we are not seeking independence. We just try to seek those rights that are mentioned in the constitution. These should be implemented. That's our request. So, therefore, a number of Chinese intellectuals fully support us – including Liu Xiaobo (awarded the Nobel peace prize in 2010 and currently serving an 11 year prison sentence).
During the last four years we noticed about 1000 articles in Chinese, some written by Chinese inside China, some outside, which fully support our 'middle way' approach. They are very critical about their own government's policy. So this is not our criticism. It is criticism within the Chinese community.
On top of that, there is quite a large Buddhist population in China. About three or four years ago, a Chinese university carried out a survey about how many Buddhists there are in mainland China. They came up with a figure of more than 300 million. Many of these Buddhists are educated people. And nowadays more and more Chinese Buddhists really show interest in Tibetan Buddhism. Even a number of Chinese Communist Party members, officials, even high officials are showing interest in Tibetan Buddhism.
Then on the practical level: The Chinese government is very much concerned about the image of China. The military, the economy alone cannot make a constructive contribution to world affairs. The People's Republic of China needs moral authority, more respect, more trust from the outside world. And the Chinese people themselves are very much concerned about the image of China, too. Many Chinese told me, that even though their country has over 1.3 billion inhabitants, it is lacking moral authority or moral power.
But now, President Xi Jinping is seriously tackling corruption. And also recently during his visit in Europe, in Paris, Xi openly stated, that Buddhism has a very important role for Chinese culture. So Buddhists should take more responsibility. For me this is something very unusual: A communist leader publicly praising or making a positive remark about Buddhism. So things are changing.

But, your Holiness, do you see any improvements on the ground in Tibet?

Our struggle is the struggle between the power of the gun and the power of truth. In the short run, the power of the gun is much stronger, very decisive. But in the long run, the power of truth is much stronger. I believe that. Already there are some signs that Chinese leaders or intellectuals now raise questions whether the existing policy is really helpful in the long run to the interest of the People's Republic of China. So things are changing.
But, up to now, my impression is that the Chinese leadership is still thinking that the way to deal with ethnic minorities in Tibet or in Xinjiang is repression and investment. That is their twofold approach.
Investment is good. But at the same time they should be seriously concerned about the environment. The use of force is often counterproductive no matter how sincere the motivation is. Look at the Iraq crisis and President Bush. I know that his motivation was very good: Democracy in Iraq. But the method was wrong. So, unexpected consequences happened. In China there is basically a similar situation.
Talking about Iraq, this brings me to a question that is troubling a lot of people in Germany right now. It is the question of how to deal with the "Islamic State."

You are loved and respected the world over because your approach is dialogue and tolerance. But now in Germany we are debating whether Germany should supply weapons to the Kurds in Northern Iraq to fight the "Islamic State" – which would be a breach with former policies. What do you do if dialogue fails or if the other is not ready for dialogue?

I am student of Buddhist psychology. And I am also a firm believer in the law of causality. There are these unthinkable, sad events: The killings of human beings, mercilessly, including children, women. I believe this is the result of certain causes. The Iraq crisis: If the American policy in order to topple Saddam Hussein had been carried out in a more non-violent way, I think, the situation today would probably be a little better. I believe this unthinkable crisis in the beginning of the 21st century is the result of the mistakes of previous centuries.

So, what would be your advice?

Basically I say: It is much better and safer not to use violence. But now the reality is: So many people are suffering. If the world remains indifferent, that would be also immoral, too. The best thing would be to try to talk. If that fails, according to the reality, according to circumstances…That´s very difficult to judge.
Coming back to Tibet, you sounded very optimistic about the prospects of positive change in Tibet through the Chinese government side. So are you optimistic yourself to be able to visit Tibet, see Lhasa and the Potala?

Watching China for more than 60 years, I describe four eras: the Mao Zedong era, the Deng Xiaoping era, the Jiang Zemin era and the Hu Jintao era. Within these four eras a lot of changes happened. The Mao Zedong era put very much emphasis on ideology. Then the Deng Xiaoping era:
He considered the economy, the living standard to be more important than just the ideology. So he did not hesitate to follow a more market-oriented economy, or even capitalism. Then Jiang Zemin: He discovered that because of the new reality, the Communist Party was no longer a party of working class people. So he created the concept of the "Three Represents." Wealthier people and intellectuals were admitted into the party.

In the Mao Zedong era that would have been unthinkable. Then came the Hu Jintao era. Because of the growing gap between rich and poor he emphasized the promotion of the "Harmonious Society". So, the same party, confronted with a new reality had the ability to take some new initiatives, develop a new thinking.

When Hu Jintao announced the "Harmonious Society," I fully supported that. But ten years passed and I think as far as "harmony" is concerned, things worsened. The goal, the motivation was good. But the method? They used force. The Chinese government's budget for internal security is bigger than the defense budget. I think there are about 200 nations on this planet. But I don't think any nation's budget for internal security is bigger than the defense budget.

But Xi Jinping, his policy, his actions, seem more realistic. As Deng Xiaoping stated: "Seek truth from facts." I think the new leadership follows that advice: seeking truth from facts. The late Hu Yaobang (reform-minded, liberal Communist Party general secretary 1980 – 1987) followed that approach. President Xi Jinping seems to be in favor of that approach.

When Hu Yaobang visited Lhasa in the early 1980's, his public speeches and comments were very realistic. At that time, everybody developed great hope. I still believe, if Hu Yaobang had remained in power for a longer time, the Tibet issue would have already been solved. Xi Jinping seems to follow that same sort of more realistic approach. So there is some hope. In any way: It is better to remain with hope and in the meantime better prepare for the worst.
Thank you very much your Holiness.

Go Into the Light...a Falseness Exposed, Part 1

In this three part series we will discuss a common practice in the paranormal community and new age ministry of commanding “lost souls/lingering souls” to “go to the light” to be free.  This is a FALSE belief as well as practice.  This series will discuss and explain to you why.  Recently a conversation with a former paranormal investigator took place during a break from an Exorcism within their personal life (a loved one being taken over by LEGION) resulting from their actions of Ghost Hunting.

I am saying this is bad when you commit this Act of Necromancy (Ghost Hunting) as it is very dangerous to do so.  In my previous writings I have laid out that Ghosts do not exist.  This is all the work of those Fallen Angels and Demonic which are posing as these false once living human individuals.  Nothing to scientifically prove God lays this out – Heaven or Hell.

Regarding this conversation which took place was disturbing to say the least.  This person had firsthand experience with diabolical forces infecting the lives of the family (resulting in an Exorcism).  Thus resulting in a Spiritual battle against several powerful forces lying within a member of the family.

I was alarmed to learn that this person who has a background in ministry had adopted a completely unbiblical demonic deception that you can command these forces to “go to the light”.  This false belief was thought that they would be “redeemed” in the sight of God. During the final stage of Exorcism on a loved family member, the blessing of their house, this person committed an open Act of Necromancy right in front of me during the house blessing.  This resulted in new activity occurring from the words stated and the actions done.  The entire house blessing had to be redone as a result of the actions.

The notion is a profound departure from accepted theological and biblical understanding of the nature of demons and their fall.  If God was truly revealing a new understanding of this “secretive” doctrine, especially from the holy bible, then God would not ask anyone to keep this a secret and would have had his son Jesus Christ tell us to do this during his time.

This would have been spoken by all the prophets of old, even Jesus Christ himself that we are to pray for those “lost and lingering souls in the spirit realm”, who are truly Fallen Angels masquerading as human spirits due to their actions of revolting against God.  To assert that this notion that “lingering souls” (Demons) can be told to “go to the light” is very problematic and a mark upon society that something is deeply wrong.

There can be no valid reason to keep this “false belief” at all.  Commanding those “lost souls/lingering ones” to move on is false.  The demons are pretending to be once living humans and have been cursed by God.  To command these “lost souls/lingering souls” to go into the light to be set free is absurd to say the least.

Unfortunately, this very false doctrine of commanding these “lost souls” onward to the “light” is not restricted to a few individuals. This false practice is perpetrated by psychics, mediums, paranormal investigators, television shows, etc. There are a growing number of alleged ministers accepting this false doctrine that these “lost souls” can be told to go forward.

Thus you are asking Demons to ultimately repent, and thus return back to God to be back in his good “graces” so to speak.  One cannot override God’s plan of cursing the Fallen Angels and Demons, nor alter their final destiny.

One can easily flip through the numerous paranormal team pages on social media websites and see these practices of commanding these “entities” to go “into the light”.   This doctrine is not only false, but very dangerous.  Let me repeat this, VERY dangerous.

So how then is this “false doctrine” so to speak if everyone is doing this?  Well, here is the logical approach to understand this.  People have accepted that God is Love is captured from 1 John 4:8 NIV “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love”.

So many people agree that God loves us all as well as those that have done Evil.  So then the next logical jump that people make is to this scripture 1 John 1:9 (NIV) “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”   People have a desire to help those suffering, and while this is good becomes a VERY dangerous game of cat and mouse.  Why?

The Demons (Fallen Angels) now truly understand this person or persons are weak in faith, have very little true bible “theology”.  Thus this means that you are not in “line” with God, thus the Demons have confirmed this about you.  The reason this is dangerous is that the Demons now are exposed to the one who is doing this “work” in the name of God as well as the others around them operating under this falseness.

People who claim they can do this with success will say a logical response of “Well those we helped no longer have any issues because of what we did.”  That may and well be the fact, but here’s the point that many are missing.

The Demons now traded the person you were helping for you!  Don’t worry they will get back to those who were tormented before by them.  Your logic won’t work against the Fallen Angels who have knowledge far beyond ANY human will ever have, nor yet even understand.

Here is why this is a fatal flaw in the logic that these people who claim they can move those “entities” into the light comes to the surface.  Due to the actions of the Fallen Angels in the Garden of Eden, God knew what Adam and Eve had done, as God went looking for Adam.

Because of the incident of “eating the apple” thus God’s words are recorded as follows in Genesis 3:13 (NIV) Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?”

The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”  14 So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals!  You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.  15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

In a nut shell this is what this means.  God has cursed the serpent, and ALL of those under the serpent for following the serpent in the revolt against God in the Great War that took place in Heaven.  When the Fallen Angels did what they intended to do against humanity, that is when God’s anger (in a loving manner) came to the surface not only against mankind, but against the demons as well.

We will advance this further in the next part.

God’s Blessings.

It's Not Safe To Ever Summon A Demon

Hello everyone! I pray you had a fantastic weekend and everyone you love is healthy. End of Summer sure has come so fast. The holidays are creeping up on us quickly. Blah! I know not everyone loves the Holidays and are feeling the anxiety already of the reminders of being alone. Please reach out and ask Jesus Christ to give you peace and comfort. Volunteer your time to help at soup kitchens or churches helping the hungry and needy. They could really use your help. Don't stay focused on how sad you feel.

Halloween is approaching and I am trying to address topics from your many thought provoking questions emails. Stay out of cemetery's. It's most likely illegal to be there and your just risking attachment. You and everybody with you. I'm told they are used as training grounds. Training for what exactly? Who is anyone to say they know exactly how to keep you safe from any issues that could come up? No one should be charging you money to learn ghost hunting. What qualifications do they have? Any references? What makes me so knowledgable? These are questions you should be asking.

To discuss this "summoning demons" that is so popular now for some reason...Even if you think demons are harmless or don't even believe in them. Are you absolutely sure whatever you're trying to achieve by crossing the great divide that you can absolutely control it if it does? Think about what I'm saying...are you absolutely sure you can without a doubt control the entire situation with whatever the end result may be? This is just careless and downright stupid for anybody to have that kind of ego and believe they have that kind of control. We can't even prove a supernatural… We only have years of speculation and you really think you could effectively control something that you summon from the other side or a very low plain, dark plane of existence? What will you do in a event that it turns on you or you don't do what it wants you to?

A man by the name of Sid Roth has a tv show called It's "It's Supernatural" on the Christian channel and he had a guest named Mel Bond who like me has the gift of the Spirit, discernment. God allowed him to see demons and this dark world in order to help people. I always wondered why God allowed me to be privy to the most dark disturbing things that puts your worst nightmare in the category of mild dreams. Half the time I stay quiet as I witness these vile things. This man Mel Bond has a amazing ministry and books that speak about the gift of the spirits and I suggest this as a great read. I'd look into his research and see for yourself what he has to say about all these harmless movies and activities.

Many call on on these dark forces to wreck havoc in the lives of others for their own evil reasons. Making any kind of a deal with a demon has serious ramifications when it's all said and done. They hate humans. When I say hate I do mean HATE! Why would they want to help us? Think about this? Look at the Slender Man epidemic. More attempted murders have taken place in the name of pleasing the master demon Slender Man. If something doesn't exist, if given enough attention will take on a life of its own. It will be created from all the hysteria. We need Christ more than ever. Cling to the Father and His Holy name and hold on tightly to it. There is just too much obsession on this topic online. It blows my mind how easily people are swayed. Demon summoning can only bring you unwanted trouble.

Whenever there is a holiday the glorifies Christ, Satan hates it. He will do what he can to ruin it and create strife. He mimics all the church does into his own perverted way that's taking place all over the world as we speak. The latest movies I see coming out are about pure evil for entertainment. Just diabolical evil. This does nothing but awaken anything out there and keep it alive. Now they do have real problems on their hands now! Law Of Attraction my friends. Attachments do happen. It's a fight for the soul once these things have taken occupancy. It takes so very much time and attention of Gods people to rid these things.

Satanism is a hard core religion. It's based on the belief that it's ok to be selfish and they practically live by that attitude. They pretty much say the world will be ruled by those who fight to win. Satanism challenges the biblical teaching every which way you can imagine. It manipulates the mind against it. They feel demons are willing to help us when shown respect that they deserve. They hate humans. They detest us but will do whatever possible to gain trust or even give you favor in situations so you continue to trust it and it can take you over.

1 Corinthians tells us to be a part of the body of Christ, whereas, satanism esteems the "self" over others.

A lot of satanists believe that the strong will rule with Satan. Once they have paid their dues, for lack of better words, they often make a pact with satan. Do people even know what that truly means? To literally make a deal with Satan? Some even make a date when they will take their own lives by suicide. They believe that if they submit themselves to satan in death, they will return in another life as a stronger being and rule with him forever. According to recent statistics, fourteen young people a day take their own lives. This is so very sad.

People are really into finding out how to summon the demon Incubus and/or Succubus. These are summoned only for sexual pleasure and companionship. There is actual pornographic anime dedicated to this. It's not hard at all to stumble across it either. I wish I was kidding. It's very popular 3D cartoon as well. This is not safe and you will regret what you open up. Incubus/Succubus given legal ground are very hard to get rid of. We have people attempting Black Magic who are fooled as they believe demons can be controlled and will do their bidding. The fact is these demons ONLY OBEY SATAN. Listen to me please....Do not be fooled. Do not let your curiosity get the better of your judgement. Please understand that once you start opening yourself up to that it becomes very real. I do not waiver outside of the Gospel, it's God's Word. The bible talks about this and is pretty clear. I'm receiving disturbing information and it concerns me. There is no need to summon any dark force I beg of you. You will regret it. They can NOT be safely called upon like you may think they can. You will pay a price, I promise you will. Depression is just the beginning of what you mentally suffer. These movies and books are so much more dangerous than people realize. You are opened to a entirely different world.

The Burden of Proof Lies on Those Affirming the Existence of Ghosts

By Reverend Mark Hunnemann

I bought a book recently entitled, "Critical Thinking" which is a popular text in colleges on logic--how to think carefully and reasonably. At 5 am, while in the gym on the bike, it was a curious coincidence that I opened the book randomly to a discussion re: 'burden of proof' in an argument. What blew me away was the example given...it woke me up!! It was a section entitled "Misplacing the Burden of Proof" Below is a verbatim quote and it mentions ghosts.

Before I proceed, I want to say that 'Critical thinking" has been a love of mine for 40 years, and have done graduate work in logic at UNC-CH. I also started Caldwell Academy in GSO  and designed their logic curriculum...as well as "Greensboro Academys".

Affirmative/negative. Other things being equal, the burden of proof falls automatically on those supporting the affirmative side of an issue rather than on those supporting the negative side. In other words, we generally want to hear reasons why something IS the case before  before  we require reasons why it is NOT the case....This rule applies to existence versus non-existence, too. Most often, the burden of proof  should fall on those who claim something exists rather than on those who claim it doesn't. THERE ARE  PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE IN GHOSTS, NOT BECAUSE OF ANY EVIDENCE THAT THERE ARE GHOSTS. BUT BECAUSE NOBODY HAS SHOWN THAT THERE ARE NO SUCH THINGS (when someone claims that we should believe in such-and-such because nobody has proved that it isn't so, we have a subtype of burden of proof known as an APPEAL TO IGNORANCE.) This is a burden-of-proof fallacy because it mistakenly places the requirement of proving their position on those who do do not believe in ghosts. (Critical Thinking. 8th ed. 2007, Moore, Parker..pg 187....emphasis added)

This is NOT a Christian text by any means. However, I almost fell out of my stationary bike when I read this at 5 am! The first time I opened the book, the above is what I had turned to. Logic/critical thinking rules are subordinate to Scripture, but since Jesus is the Logos/Logic, then we must realize that Jesus wove logic into the fabric of reality. Aristotle did not create logic, he simply 'discovered' and categorized what the Logos had intertwined into the warp and woof of reality.

According to secular accepted rules of logic (in line with bible) any claims for existence of ghosts MUST assume burden of proof. That has profound implications for--A calling non-believers in ghosts "fundamentalist"in derogatory way. B more importantly, ANY claims of apparitional humans have burden of proof. There is an arrogance toward the "all paranormal is demonic", but in reality they are bumping against reality and logic. The bible clearly affirms the existence of two types of angels--good and bad. There is an unending enumeration of alleged spirit entities by those not guided by the bible. Now  they must see that logic itself opposes them.

If you believe in ghosts in ANY form (other than biblical examples), the burden of  proof lies squarely upon your shoulders.

In conclusion, if one responds by saying that there is an abundance of evidence for the existence of ghosts via EVP, sightings, etc, then that is another fallacy--circular reasoning. One has to assume the existence of ghosts, to interpret those experiences as being evidence of ghosts. Christians have to bow before the authority of God's Word, which makes clear that Satan is the great deceiver.

Smoking Toking Rick Rowe; Profile of a Stalker.

I never have a problem writing these blogs.  Every week it’s the same thing, someone does something that makes a perfect subject for the blogs.  I always say, my blogs write themselves.  Last night though, took the cake for reporting about some outlandish behaviors of one man, who I can not help but mention.  He makes a completely perfect poster boy for what type of person motivates me into doing what I do out there.  His name… is Rick Rowe.  He adds the prefix “Lord” for Lord Rick Rowe.  Oh, and he means like the Lord, as in God, not just as Lords and Ladies prefix.

Rick is the owner of a Yahoo group called Paranormal Ghost Society that has been around since at least 2006 and I hear even longer by a few years from some.  He has a web site by the same name.  While his name does not reflect it, he’s a Bigfoot hunter and does very little ghost investigating.

Now the first thing people may think is… ok, he’s been around for a while.  They click on the link to his site; it won’t be what people expect.  It’s colorful not appropriately sizing to most screens and its grandiose and out dated style hits you in the face, and it reflects more of self promotion, little representation of any ghost, paranormal, Bigfoot or alien subjects and… it seems to be about POT and lots of it.  It’s like the main reason to have a site.  He is obsessed with marijuana to the degree; it becomes very obvious to anyone seeking him out on Facebook or his website.  His profile pics and photo albums are full of him smoking a pipe and appears his favorite type of pose and believe me, selfies done this way is forte’.

Now, I do not have problems with what people do with their lives, but, he’s trying to represent a team in the paranormal and I know people and how the public sees things from running my shows.  He looks like a pot head with the way he represents himself and not any kind of serious ghost investigator or Bigfoot hunter.  But, ok, I can over look that, like a lot of people might… until… you see what else he has on his site.

He has a forum that is called Theatrical Clowns.  It goes back to 2007 where he gets upset with people and, writes a forum post on them.  But, it goes further then a post or two… he makes them a forum subject where he can make repeated posts about them and he has many, posting thousands of posts against others, berating them, insulting them, threatening them and just really ripping on them.  On me, he has over 400 posts alone.  Now, from looking at what he says of me, I can ascertain that the other forum posts are likely done in the same manner, which is twisting what people say, purposely misconstruing “evidence” that he has and interpreting it completely wrong, lying, talking to people and screen shotting only a portion that appears to back his own agenda up.  He’s done this to many people who are listed on his forum like some great wall of shame of his.

My offense for this rendering of shame was not seeing his allure and greatness, as well as his grand following and inviting him on my radio show.  The problem is he has so very many pictures of himself toking pot from a pipe as if he’s the poster boy of how to smoke dope, I just could not connect someone like that with what I do and I told him so.  That conversation was the first post on me that was screen shot with his dribble of complaints added.  Now, I admit that at times, people come off rudely to me; I’ll be a bit overly arrogant just to piss them off.  It’s just what I do.  I had no idea how far this guy would take it.  There are many on this clown forum of his besides me and some are well known.

Doing what I do, I get screen shots when something is amiss from friends, colleagues and just concerned citizens out there when they see something amiss, along with those that are as I put it “underground” and close to people that come forward.  On Rick, it’s an ongoing process and has been for years.

Recently, there was a link posted from an Encyclopedia Dramatica, which is a site dedicated to people who upset people online.  It was made in the idea that some people made Wikipedia articles on themselves and you could not edit to put truths in them, such as people being a scammer or stalker or worse.  Encyclopedia Dramatica (ED) is a satire site, which is to say it’s done in a snarky and joking manner and not meant to be serious, but, makes a point about someone that the article is written of.  Most people are insulted when they get written about on there.  The link went to a Lord Rick Rowe article.  He did not like that. He wanted them to erase the article.  He then, decided he would war with the administrators and owners of the site.  So, he made them each subjects.  Mind you, they did not write the article on him.  He posted insulting things about them seeming to reveal criminal histories and even posting where they lived.  Now, while I can not verify whether what he has there is true or not, I know what I have on me isn’t the slightest bit of truth or anything that was posted about my friends.  So I’ll assume it’s completely not true.

Now these posts of Rick’s get posted all over by him and he regurgitates his post from time to time making it sound like something was just said that might be a few years ago that he’s already brought it up previously.  He wrote I went to jail for kidnapping for 10 years.  I find that funny.  I once took a child out of a dangerous situation and the parent called the police on me to which the police had to initially charge me with kidnapping until they could prove the abuse.  This person lost custody of her child because of it and they dropped the charge on me.  You’ll notice the charge was actually “attempted” kidnapping and you won’t find anywhere that I served jail time.  It does not stop Rick from posting a lie and trying to perpetrate it all over.  Like wise saying how I molested children.  When he did this, I did it back to him, thinking he would see how it felt.  NOPE, instead, the guy just posts what I said and keeps it going.  He can’t understand how his actions cause reactions and why people do react the way they do.  I do not think he cares.

He has threatened me and my family by saying he would show up at my door, taunted me last night through email while threatening.  He posted a picture of my home that he had someone take, as well as posting my address, phone number and names of my family members.  He has recently went after friends that are helping me and posted fake criminal charges they were suppose to have as well as threats and their addresses, that include charges that supposedly their children are suppose to have (but don’t).

I could go on and on about what he has out there and what he’s done.  So if you see me letting him know I’m not intimidated and poking fun at him, you understand that I am the voice of many here and against many other’s out there in the paranormal field like him.  I have met my share of odd people out there with these same types of stalker antics.

It’s time for the paranormal field to stand up to these types of people and object to these kinds of behaviors. Together, we can stop them.  Strengthen our voice by reading our blogs, listen to our shows and like or comment on our posts. The bigger our audience, the bigger our voice and influence on these people.  Feel free to write us for either a report against someone or what you think.  We rarely hear the positive side of what we do.

The truth is out there… the War is ON!  It’s time to clean up the field and make it a true community in every sense.
