Pilot Fish: A Tale of Psychic Medium Joanne Brown
By Michael O'Brien
Special Contributor: Aanica
Pilot Fish
(A small slender marine fish that often swims in company with larger fish, especially sharks)
For some time now, my colleagues and I have worked to expose these so called, "Celebrity Psychics”, for what we believe them to be; unrepentant predators that prey upon the emotionally and financially bankrupt.
Now before you hard-core believers pounce, I am not suggesting psychic abilities are out of the realm of possibility. I am simply stating there are opportunists with financial agendas that know no ethical or humane boundaries. Those are who we target and why we attempt to expose them.
Evidence of their corruption to me would be found in the answers to these questions. If some do possess genuine psychic gifts, wouldn't it be an affront to their God to exploit those for cash? Call me naive but I have incessantly pondered that question. Also, if they must charge why not ask for a donation at the readings completion? A, "You get what you pay for," type of agreement? All right, I suppose that last question was somewhat rhetorical.
At any rate, in my efforts to pursue these dominate predatory sharks I failed to consider the impact of the minor, self-professed, "Psychic”, bottom feeders that swim alongside them. You know those slimy pilot fish that are insignificant in comparison to the likes of Coffey or Caputo but depraved parasites nonetheless.
Now I admit discounting these infinitesimal trash fish was a mistake on my part. Although perhaps pardonable since they do take cover quite nicely within the shadows of larger prey. In any event, they are hidden no more. There should be absolutely no distinction between these calculating charlatans. Both leave countless emotional casualties within their wake inasmuch, financial ruin for many of those victims.
With that said, allow me to relay a recent encounter I had with a supposed psychic. In November 2012, my friend approached me with a desperate favor. It seems her 87-year-old father was murdered. He was found hanged in his barn by an unknown assailant(s). What's more, the Coroner reported it took him a minimum of ten minutes to expire and documented it. This was apparently due to the lack of fractures or breaks within his vertebrae. With this tragic news, she asked if I was aware of any worthy psychics, she could seek for answers.
Reluctantly I informed her I only knew of those on Facebook who claimed psychic abilities. Hoping to detour her I also advised her they offer their services at a substantial cost with no promise of results. Despite my efforts, she remained motivated. She asked if I would read off a few names and I hesitantly complied. She stated she would then choose what name, "spoke to her.” It is this level of thinking I refer to as, "The first drop of blood in the water.” You may as well start humming the score from Jaws.
Anyway, after I rattled off ten or so names she finally agreed on one.
Psychic Medium, Joanne Browne ghostgabbers2004@yahoo.co.uk Website http://mediumjoannebrown.webs.com/ A psychic who just happened to be available for readings at that time. Believe me, this coincidence did not go unnoticed by my friend and only cemented her decision. She went on to say that, she also chose Ms. Brown in part since she once worked with a Joanne in the early nineties. With that assertion, my protective nature kicked in to high gear and I could not allow this to go any further.
I asked my friend if she would offer me a some time to check this Joanne Brown out before she went any further.
I felt she was just too desperate and vulnerable to make decisions at that time. How I would go about investigating this woman, I was not certain but I knew I had to act quickly. That I did. I contacted Ms. Brown online and stated that [I] wanted a reading instead of my friend.
From the jump, this was an awkward experience for me to say the least. In fact, one of her first comments to me was how she was suspicious or confused about my intentions. It seems she was surprised that I was serious about actually wanting a reading. It is not that I did not believe in her claims of psychic abilities. In fact, I was totally prepared to offer her a fair shot. Though one must admit after reading this that it is comical her initial inclinations were the only correct psychic premonitions she offered me.
Anyway, instead of detailing my experience with her first hand, I have attached the email I was compelled to send Joanne Brown. The email has been condensed for time and space purposes but I think you will get the point. I hope that you will be just as appalled as I was.
Ms. Brown,
You may recall our recent online encounter. We spoke Friday, November 16 at 4:24 p.m., New Mexico time. During which time you gave me a psychic reading after informing me your fee was $20.00 (USD) for 45 minutes. Do you recall our encounter? If not, allow me to refresh your memory.
A bit of advice? It would certainly behoove you to read the entirety of this correspondence.
First, at precisely 4:30 p.m. you began your psychic reading. Near this same time, 4:34 p.m., you began chatting with your Facebook friends corresponding with them several times. Not very professional but then again there are larger issues here that I need to address.
Now, I'm certain you can agree that never at any point during this read did you offer me one piece of accurate, precise or valuable information. Evidence of that last statement would be found in your panicked proclamations to your Facebook friends demanding help.
Next, I am not certain which part of your reading I was more confused by. You finally asked, "Do you sing?” You asked that question out of sheer desperation I am certain. After all, who doesn't or didn't sing once in their lives? On the other hand, the fact that you informed me that a man in an asylum was following me. Seriously, Ms. Brown, what if I were mentally fragile? How do you suppose that statement would have affected me?
Second, while you did claim phone issues, you were absent without leave for 43 minutes during our entire 45-minute conversation. In addition, these periods do not reflect the incessant pauses on your side of the conversation. See times below.
4:34 - 4:41 (7 minutes AWOL)
5:00 - 5:09 (9 minutes AWOL)
5:09 - 5:36 (27 minutes AWOL)
Okay, so I have been allowed to vent. Thanks for your patience. Now allow me to get to my point. As you know, my name is Michael O'Brien. What you might not know is that I am a Paranormal Correspondent for several sites throughout the Web. Many of which you may be familiar with.
In fact, over the past year we have been working on an article whereby exposing fraud within the psychic community. Inasmuch, the disastrous effects their behavior can have on the fragile human psyche as well as their checking accounts. Now, while you are in no way considered a heavy psychic hitter, we are seriously considering you. Here is why.
While yes, you failed miserably throughout the entirely of your reading. While yes, I adamantly believe your telling another that someone dead in an asylum was somehow interested in them was beyond reprehensible. While yes, you were intermittently involved with this reading time wise. I can honestly say the part that offended me the most is that you took someone else's money, offered absolutely nothing of merit in return and NEVER so much as offered an apology, let alone any other concession. A new reading, a refund? Nothing. Your silence to was akin to, "Thanks for your cash, now get lost."
Ms. Brown, all you had to do was apologize to redeem yourself or maybe even offer a small concession but you could not offer something as basic as that. I am not certain I understand, can you not feel shame or regret? In any event, enjoy our $37.00 euros. Personally, you cost me nothing other than my time.
Michael O'Brien
Ms. Joanne Brown's response to my email eight days later was, "I'll refund you asap.” Nothing more though I did thank her. However, what happened next surprised even me.
Instead of refunding my meager twenty dollars, Ms. Joanne Brown chose to block me from her page and pulled her "Psychic Medium," proclamation from her name. She is now, "Joanne Brown, Ghost Hunter”, the last I checked.
While I do despise repeating myself, to me Joanne Brown is the antithesis of these, "bottom feeders”, I referred to. Remorseless sponges who prey upon both the hopeful and the hopeless equally. Truthfully, I am uncertain which is more pathetic.
Too harsh of an assessment you say? No, the fact that this woman hid like a craven when confronted with her ineptitude and deception speaks absolute volumes. She reacted just as a cowardice predator would. Trust me when I say I am quite familiar with them having studied these people for years. However, I will admit I am perplexed as to why she sold herself out for the cost of a couple of Long John Silver Value Meals.
As for my friend? She is absolutely dismayed and exists without any hope for answers. She knows her dad is dead and she is forced to move on. She is aware her father suffered terribly but she will need to simply deal with that knowledge. She also realizes she cannot trust her instincts any quicker than she can trust a psychic. However, on an up note, it cost her nothing financially to learn that lesson. Somehow, I do not think that fact brings her any solace whatsoever.
In closing, I understand Ms. Brown has some staunch supporters out there. Interestingly enough most of them believe they too are powerful psychics. To those I say I would greatly enjoy it if you responded to this post and rallied in defense of your psychic friend. After all if history is any predictor, Ms. Brown will duck and cover as opposed to tackling any of these accounts on her own behalf. With that, she will need all the help she can assemble. Apparently, spines are not as easy to come by as PayPal accounts are in this day in age.
Now, if you are at a loss for ideas perhaps you can explain to our readers the concept of, "Even gifted psychics can have an off day.” Alternatively, maybe you could riddle us this. Why Ms. Brown contracted a 45-minute reading yet provided only minutes of that? Better yet, feel free to justify why your psychic friend felt so entitled to another's hard earned cash she wasn't willing to offer an apology let alone a refund. I would also like to hear your thoughts on ethical responsibility.

What Special Gift Did You Receive for Christmas?
By Stephen Piersall
Through Jesus Christ You too CAN be saved – 1/12/2013 Stephen Piersall, God’s Preservation Ministry, http://sfprs.org Stop by and look at our new web page :-)
We survived the Y2K and Mayan scare and God has granted us another day to share his love. Our local Church had a goal for 2012 to win over 365 people to Jesus, but we fell short, but that does not discourage us at all. Because of the nearly NEW 300 that occurred, we are rejoicing as they are now going to be entering into Heaven too. What better way to celebrate the New Year 2013 with the same goal and we already have some new Christians early on.
Prior to 12/21/2012 and the Mayan threat heard across the world, were you scared that all would have ended then? Did you already have the opportunity to accept Jesus into your life, and knew if the world did end that you would be going to Heaven? BTW, did you buy Christmas presents for your friends and family? Did you open them before December 21? Ya know, just in case. Of these gifts you bought, were any of these people NOT Christians? Did everybody celebrate 12/25/2012 with presents, partying, and having a large meal with family and friends? We all know the fable of Santa, but did everybody celebrate that day as the birth of Jesus even if they were NOT Christians? Pssst, Let me tell you a secret. Jesus may have been 33 years old when He died, but he was NOT born on Christmas day. According to the experts they claim with our calendar and the old calendar that Jesus would have actually been born somewhere in our early springtime.
Do you want to know the greatest gift I received for Christmas? No, it was not the brand new Rolls Royce or the new house my wife Karen bought me, or the 10 Rolex watches, and …LOL. It was our two grandchildren telling us that they believed in Jesus :-)
Do you still have family and friends who are not Christians and need to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior? What if the Mayan, ah never mind, how about what would happen if they were to die today? Not tomorrow, were talking about today! Perhaps on the way home from work, an accident at work, or just had a heart attack and did not make it through the day. Can you live with the guilt that they passed away and you had the chance to get them to accept the Lord Jesus and did not witness to them? Do not wait for tomorrow! At least plant the seed of salvation, and then pray and let God tend to them. If they still refuse, then it is on them. Nevertheless, Jesus spoke many times in the four Gospel’s about getting out and spreading the word of God’s love, patience, and forgiveness of our sins. We all, especially Christians are accountable for our actions to God and we MUST before it is too late, lead the unsaved to accept Jesus in to their lives. It is within the reach of every person on the face of the earth.
When Jesus Christ died on the cross, He provided salvation for ALL. ”And when I am lifted up on the cross, I will draw everyone to myself. He said this to indicate how he was going to die” (John 12:32-33). Once a man or woman recognizes the need for salvation and realizes that God has provided for their salvation through Jesus Christ, he or she must go on to embrace it. Next, they must believe that God has raised Jesus Christ from the dead. This belief in the death and resurrection of Jesus carries with it the realization that the penalty for sin and power is provided for man to live a life free from sin.
Thus, man’s relationship to God is reconditioned. “For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. As the Bible tells us, “For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved” (Romans 10:9-11).
Do you understand that you are a sinner, and you believe that Jesus Christ came as the one and only Redeemer of sin? Are you ready to receive God’s gift of His Son, Jesus Christ? If so, believe in Christ, repent of your sins, and commit the rest of your life to Him as Lord. Try this sample prayer or use your own words:
“Father, I know that I have broken your decrees and my sins have separated me from you. I am truthfully sorry, and now I want to turn away from my former sinful life. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I ask Jesus to become my Lord and Savior, to rule and reign in my heart from this day onward. Please fill me with your Holy Spirit to help me conform to your life you have planned and to do your will for the rest of my natural life on earth. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.”
"Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit" (Acts 2:38).
If you decided to receive Jesus today, welcome to God's family. Now, as a way to grow closer to Him, the Bible tells us to follow up on our commitment:
· 1. Find a local church where you can worship God.
· 2. Get baptized as commanded by Jesus Christ.
· 3. Tell someone else about your new faith in Christ.
· 4. Spend time with God each day. It does not have to be a long period. Just develop the daily habit of praying to Him and reading His Word. Ask God to increase your faith and your understanding of the Bible.
· 5. Seek fellowship with other followers of Jesus. Develop a group of believing friends to answer your questions and support you.
Perhaps the above message does not apply to you because you already have accepted Jesus in to your life. Hallelujah! However, you still can use this message to bring others the path to eternal life and help your local church reach their goals in numbers of newly saved for 2013. Maybe you are a Christian but have backed away of living the life of a Christian. It is never too late to get back in step again. Even if you are a trained Pastor not assigned a church, you still need to fellowship with other Christians and attend and support your local church and worship God. Praise is to God Almighty we can live forever through Christ.

Observations on the State of the Paranormal Community - Part 1
By Reverend Mark
Hunnemann
With
the New Year I feel compelled to ask: what is the state of the paranormal
community? Before I respond, let me say that I consider myself part of the
paranormal community (though I prefer to call it supernatural), and I care for
these folks. I am not an outsider throwing rocks at these “nuts”, rather I am
inside trying, in my weak and stumbling way, to change people’s minds through
reasoned persuasion. Because of past bad experience with the church, often it
is hard to gain an audience, and this grieves me. So, thank you dear friends
for your continued interest and support.
I whittled it
down to two issues—what is happening to the investigators
and what is happening regarding the
investigations. In this section
we will deal with the former. When I say investigators, I mean that in the
broad sense of anyone who is actively and
regularly making contact with the spirit realm by attempting communication
with the dead—there are untold millions of Americans who are engaging in this
activity privately or informally, primarily due to what they have seen on TV.
Perhaps we could distinguish between formal
investigators (group structure and a stated purpose to assist others who
have problems), and informal
investigators (one or two individuals who do it for themselves or just for
the thrill, and no mission statement). In 2009, when I began this quest, paranormalsocieities.com listed 950
formal investigative groups; today the count has risen to 4,054 groups—by any
standard of measurement, that is astonishing growth! However, the amazing
growth only serves to underscore the importance of doing an analysis of how
things are going.
Let me plunge right in and say that I do not know of
anyone who has regularly attempted to contact the dead, who at some point, has
not dealt with demonic activity of their own.
Recently I was on a Christian paranormal radio podcast in which the host, who
has many more years’ experience than I do, concurred. (I was touched by the
dignity and respect that was shown to me by this Christian woman) We agreed that this is an extremely
noteworthy phenomenon which is being systematically swept under the rug. I am
sure that someone reading this will disagree with our observation, and that is
okay. However, the undeniable fact is that a very high percentage of
investigators (both kinds) are/have developed demonic issues. We may disagree
as to what it is, but I think most would agree that experiencing paranormal
activity appears to come with the territory. But why does it? And who/what is
it that is following you home? Why is there so much obsessiveness that
transcends healthy passion? As a man determined to see ghosts through God’s
eyes, the bible must be our guide, along with science and critical thinking.
All truth is God’s truth, but only the bible is inerrant and must be our only
guide to faith (beliefs) and practice. Sola scriptura! (2 Tim. 3:16-17) You owe
it to God, yourself, your team mates/friends, and your loved ones to grapple
with this and not sweep it under the rug.
Biblically, the picture is sobering for all who are
attempting communication with the dead, because God explicitly commands us not
to engage in this (Deut.18:9-14; Lev.19:31; 20:1-6). So, first and foremost, every time an investigator
investigates, they are disobeying God’s objective law. There are gradations of
sin, and speaking to the dead is one reason God ordered the complete slaughter
of an entire Canaanite people and culture (men, women, and children). In v.12
we are told explicitly that the occultic sins mentioned in these verses are the
reason for the utter destruction of the inhabitants of the land. They were not
innocent; the people who sought mediums and spoke to the dead were doing
something the Lord considered “abominable.” All of these activities, including
child sacrifice, are designed to seek supernatural wisdom apart from God. It is
instructive that this text is juxtaposed with the section on God’s prophets
(including the prophecy of a prophetic line culminating in Jesus)—the true and
only source of wisdom we are to seek regarding God and the supernatural. In the
Leviticus text, the heinousness of spirit communication is accented by stating
that it was: whoring in God’s eyes;
it was a capital crime; and if the Jews failed to kill the ghost whisperer,
then God Himself would kill them…this is the only place in the Old Testament,
that I am aware of, where the Lord threatens such personal involvement in the
punishment for a particular sin. All sin is cosmic treason against our holy
God, but some sins are particularly hateful to Him, and spiritism is one such
sin. Therefore, the punishment and consequences of violating this command are
especially severe. However, we must never lose sight of what we call the
ellipsis of a negative prohibition (flip side); it is because God LOVES us that
He wants us to delight in the words of His prophets/apostles and not be burned
by touching the hot occultic stove.
Spirit solicitation is spiritual warfare! As we have noted before, the solicitation of EVP’s
is attended by the same dangers as conducting an Ouija session. By entering
into the spirit realm, we give the demonic a legal right to attach and attack,
because we are trespassing in the realm that the Lord has given to them as
their temporary home. Also, for the first time in recorded history, lay people
in large numbers are plunging headlong into a world that universally has been
approached in the past by a community’s representative—a priest or shaman—due
to a natural fear of the spirits. Hence, the canopy of God’s common grace of
protection is removed. In a word, the paranormal community is rapidly becoming
demonized—investigators are coming under ever deepening influence of unclean
spirits. Tragically, this is the dirty, dark secret of the paranormal
community; for a variety of reasons we are not being honest with ourselves and
each other. I suggest that this is not wise, and is only causing more people to
be affected. Are we reluctant because it may signify a systemic problem in our
ranks? When we unwittingly dance with the demonic, then we open ourselves to
their accelerated activity. The condition of investigators is perilous in the
extreme, and is getting worse each passing day…Lord have mercy on us. Next time
we will look at the state of investigations.
ACTION STEPS
We must determine to
speak out regarding this issue…it is a matter of integrity and compassion.
Some of you are under
demonic influence, and you may, or may not, sense it…yet. Seek godly, competent
help in dealing with it.

Observations on the State of the Paranormal Community – Part 2: The Investigations
By Reverend Mark
Hunnemann
With the New Year I feel compelled to ask: what is
the state of the paranormal community?
Before I respond, let me say that I consider myself part of the paranormal
community (though I prefer to call it supernatural), and I care for these
folks. I am not an outsider throwing rocks; rather I am inside trying, in my
weak and stumbling way, to change people’s minds through reasoned persuasion. ..praying
that honest seekers for truth will listen.
I whittled it
down to two issues—what is happening to the investigators
and what is happening regarding the
investigations. In this section
we will deal with the latter…my analysis of the investigators is in Part!
Are investigations yielding accurate identification
of the underlying cause of the paranormal activity? With the current
methodologies being used, are they able
to identify spirit entities? Are they helping the client with their
investigations and recommendations? (Note that Q.1 & 3 are inextricably
bound together) Those are the main issues I wish to explore.
I have stated before that the paranormal community
is a plausibility structure—a sociological term denoting a group which provides
a safe environment to assume certain beliefs are plausible, which outsiders may
consider implausible. For example, it
is easy to believe in trapped human spirits when around those who are
like-minded. However, it can also lead to an uncritical acceptance of basic
assumptions deeply held within the paranormal community. In fact, within a
plausibility structure, any questioning of basic assumptions may be met with
resistance. May I suggest that there is nothing wrong, and everything right,
about a particular group like the paranormal community (or a church) that makes
people feel safe in their quest for truth? However, when basic assumptions
regarding ghost theory become “off-limits” to scrutiny, then that discourages
honest seeking of truth. That is when a plausibility structure becomes a
hindrance, and not a help, in discovering the truth. It certainly is not
scientific, inductive reasoning.
Recently, I read a thread on Facebook which was discussing
Josh Gates and the Destination Truth
crew in which they were returning to a “haunted” forest where their camera man
had been violently thrown during the first investigation. The main issue they were debating was what kind of
spirit had tossed the camera man? After some discussion, the person who started
the thread (who leads an investigative group) stated, “I think they were
elementals (a form of nature spirit) which that group had provoked too harshly…but we will never know definitively until we
die.” (Italics added)
BINGO! Identity agnosticism—not just with this
situation, but we are UNABLE TO DEFINITIVELY IDENTIFY ANY SPIRIT BEINGS! I applaud her honesty, but there are many who
will disagree and say that they are able to definitively identify the spirit
beings they encounter. As I hope to show, their optimism is inconsistent with
their presuppositions.
;
Why? Because (and this is key) identification of
supernatural entities is not a paranormal, intuitive, or scientific issue, but
a theological issue. As a Christian, this should be a given, but let me
buttress my point.
All the latest scientific instrumentation can only
document/verify a supernatural presence, but it CANNOT classify them (more
below).
This identity agnosticism is a consequence of
choosing speculation as the
intellectual starting point for studying the supernatural instead of revelation. SPECULATION
VERSUS REVELATION When it comes to studying the supernatural,
there are only two options for our source of truth—the vain, autonomous (not
subject to God’s law) speculation of man, or the humble reliance on revelation
(the bible). The monolithic consensus in the paranormal community is speculation;
man, along with instruments and subjective feelings, can determine whether a
being is demonic or not, human or not, intelligent or not, benign or not, positive
or not, and so on. In other words, man is the measure of all things paranormal…that
is not a neutral mindset—it is a religion of pride in opposition to God’s
revealed truth ( Prov.1:7)
Remember that the success or failure of all
investigations, and whether we help or hurt people, hinges on accurate
identification of the spirit beings causing the problems. Can a medical doctor
help someone if they misdiagnose the identity of the disease?
Remember also what we have said over and over; all
of the various means by which investigations seek spirit communication are
actually making the condition worse for the client. Just from that one point,
we can deduce that investigations are doing more harm than good.
Since demons
can mimic virtually anything or anyone (angel of light principle, 2 Cor. 11:14),
and rule the psychic airwaves, then it is impossible to construct a set of accurate
criteria that will definitively classify these beings into certain categories;
psychics and mediums are puppets in the hands of the dark psychic masters. This includes the ability to project into you a
sense of positive energy and human goodness—which regularly fools the most
sensitive of people. However, how many times have I heard a professing
Christian say, “I sense that this entity is positive.” A thousand times NO! The
angel of light principle includes the ability to project any ambiance they so
desire, including the sensation that all evil has left, or that pure evil is
sweet and holy; or project into the medium’s and psychic’s minds a whole string
of false data and images. Why are Christians using psychics and mediums anyway,
when we saw last time how strongly the bible condemns their activity?
We must subordinate our sensations—all of our
subjective states, including claims of discernment-- to the word of God. It seems to
me that most Christians who believe in trapped spirits do so primarily on the persuasiveness
and intensity of sensations they feel regarding particular entity/entities.
Subjective feelings are just feelings, and are subject to demonic
influence—subjective states are trumped by God’s explicit commands
(Deut.18:9-14). We need to operate with the conviction of Sola Scriptura. Scripture alone has come under attack in a thousand different ways in the
neo-gnostic milieu in which we live. When I was in seminary a woman was asked
why she was pursuing the pastorate when she knew the bible forbade women from
doing so. Her answer was instructive: she affirmed the authority of the bible,
but said she had an inner call from God which trumped what the bible said! The
Holy Spirit, who inspired the bible and also calls people to ministry, does not
speak out of both sides of His mouth.
Consider my Christian Facebook friend who made the elemental observation, but added the
proviso that we won’t know for sure until we die. Why was she admitting identity agnosticism? I am
not sure, but my hunch is that she is well aware of the fact that there is no
way to haul that entity into the lab and scientifically analyze it. However,
that is true of all supernatural entities—even the most rigorous investigation
is miles away from approximating the testing procedures used in scientific
experiments in the natural realm. The scientific method is inadequate when it
comes to definitively identifying entities in the supernatural realm. A moment’s
communion with common sense should reveal that science is INCAPABLE of
classifying supernatural spirits.
Our three questions were: 1.Are investigations
accurately identifying the beings causing the problems? 2. Are they able to
with current methodology? 3. And are the investigations helping people? We have
demonstrated that the paranormal community is habitually misdiagnosing the
spiritual disease, and that they are unable to correctly diagnose with current
investigative assumptions. Therefore…Based on 1 & 2, then we must sadly conclude that
the vast majority of investigations are not helping people. Furthermore, investigations generally hurt
people—both temporally and eternally. Since
we always misdiagnose when we introduce trapped spirits or residuals (or
other unbiblical categories of beings), then how can we give wise counsel at
the reveal? How can we give sound advice when we do not have a clue as to what
is “haunting” the house? What?! Peacefully co-exist with pure evil that is bent
on our destruction? At least before the investigation, the client felt a
legitimate concern—but when given false assurance from us, the guard is let
down, and the demonic is often unwittingly embraced. In 2013, the current condition of both
investigators and investigations is sobering, and it is getting worse every day.
Paranormal investigations are probably the main vehicle through which the evil
genius is releasing and amassing his infernal army for the final assault.
Please do not retreat into the cozy confines of a plausibility structure—have
the courage and compassion to think through these basic assumptions for yourself.
We owe it to God and to the client to
let the truth prevail…or the lawsuits will begin in earnest because of our
gross negligence. Sola scriptura and soli deo Gloria!

We sometimes have to remind our haters that the EYE ON
THE PARANORMAL is not a personal blog. It makes no difference who is a contributor;
this is a news, information, and personal opinion blog. Our souls aren’t owned
by anyone. We don’t kowtow to any para-celeb, real or fake, or to any paranormal
organization, group or show.
We report the news that we uncover. We don’t partake
in cyber-bullying. Just as with any news organization, the reporter’s job is to
report the news.
Back to this business…
We’ve recently uncovered some shocking information
concerning misconduct by members of PRS’s management team and Ryan Buell.
If you’re a regular visitor to the PRS boards, or a
long time follower of PRS, you’ll recognize the name Susan Music a/k/a Shadowtime.
Ms. Music is a moderator on the PRS board. She’s also a website administrator, and
over the past few years, has played a big role in the management of PRS.
What PRS has worked hard to keep from the public is
the fact that Ms. Music has been arrested for DUI on two occasions: in 2009 and
in May 2012. Last year’s arrest was more severe as it was a hit and run. According
to the police report, Ms. Music was “visibly intoxicated” and her blood alcohol
test resulted in a reading of .232, which is almost three times the legal limit.
DUI #1
DUI #2
We have to ask if such a person with two DUI charges filed
against them should be allowed access to personal information and data? Should
such an individual be in the role of giving advice to the public? In my personal
opinion, no. But it seems that PRS tends to differ.
Here are some links that share the total cost of
people who drive under the influence [statistics show if you are arrested once
for DUI you’ll end up with at least five DUI’s in your lifetime].
In closing, we ask that Ms. Music step away from the paranormal
field and spend some time listening to the following:
What Made Milwaukee Famous by Jerry Lee Lewis
I Like Beer by Tom T. Hall
Let it never escape anyone’s minds – people who drive
while intoxicated are potential killers.
Keep on soldiering on – until next time.

Issue 100 – God’s Gold & PRS Won’t Issue Refunds for Cancelled Events
By Kirby Robinson
GOD’S GOLD is a forthcoming book that will be
published in time for Christmas 2013 by a major publisher. It contains what
might be the most shocking of paranormal/spiritual experiences one could ever
have. God’s Gold will be at a massive 400 pages and it’ll share my secret
journey that I have been on, along with a workbook that will help the reader
understand and apply the teachings that I alone have received from God, Jesus
and spiritual beings whose names I can’t utter out loud, let alone write them
down.
For the past year, whenever I close my eyes to sleep whether
a short catnap or at night, my spirit has been whisked away to highest levels
of the heavens above us. God and His spiritual partners have opened the
curtains to wisdom that has been shared to only four [4] other beings throughout
time. These teachings have been so intense and mind-blowing at times, that I’d
scream out, “Pass this burden onto others for I can’t take it. Let someone
wiser and braver than me carry this message out to the world.” Each time I was told
that it had to be me bring the message to you. So I’ll do my best to be the
messenger between God and you. These profound teachings will unlock powers you
never knew you had. These teachings will lead you to discover the resting place
for God’s Gold buried in the earth by God. And buried there just for you to
find it.
While in the heavens, I encountered some of the most
famous men and woman of science and the arts. World famous names. But I can’t reveal
their names just yet. Because who they are and what they have to say will amaze
every single reader, both young and old.
Also, time in the heavens is not the same as it is
here on earth. During my many journeys, I could look down and see the earth of
2013, 2014 and beyond. You’ll learn of wars that will break out, natural
disasters that will strike, who will die and why, forthcoming Super Bowl
winners and much, much more. God’s Gold will not only change your life but the lives
of all around you. Not only will your sprit grow but so will your bank account,
as you uncover your pot of God’s Gold.
Workshops will be held in luxurious resorts, cruise
ships, and convention centers around the world. A10-set DVD collection will be
given to the first 1,000 attendees and then will go on sale to the public in
2014.
The above is a bunch of crap. Anyone that knows me
would know I wouldn’t write such garbage. Unfortunately, such a book as God’s
Gold would trick many suckers. Take the 12/21/12 debacle or what I like to call such things Paranormal
Dud Events [PDE], referring to fake paranormal events, shows and even people
who claim to have some sort of special power/s. A show that claims it will prove
something paranormal and doesn’t, or some type of event that is predicted and
promised -- but never occurs.
New age and nonfiction paranormal books are usually
dressed up works of fiction. Often, the writer wants to be a guru or teacher
and the only way to do so is to say that have special wisdom/knowledge that only
they can teach. These events take place under the category of religion. A man
or woman can claim to work for GOD yet they work only for the self. Sometimes a
false religion and/or cult can stem from this.
There is a darker level to this kind of conduct. People
claiming to have these experiences don’t get them from God, they come from
darkness.
For the next few weeks, we’ll take a look at such
false teachers. The three we’ll start with are:
Rick Warren, author of “The Purpose Driven Life.”
Doreen Virtue [she claims to have a PhD but it’s from
a paper mill]. She’s written many books on talking to angels [demons],
goddesses [demons], some type of therapy with angels [demons]. OK, so let’s
just say in her case she deals with FALLEN angels.
Susan Rushing. Her book is called “Suicide From the Other
Side” and she claims to have “special knowledge from the dead” [demons].
In time I’ll put others to the test of what does God’s
word have to say about their claims.
THE SICK & TWISTED FANS & MANAGEMENT TEAM AT [PRS] PARANORMAL
RESEARCH SOCIETY
It seems that Ryan Buell and his management team are
very upset with the exposure that they’re getting. It shows them as a bunch of
cons refusing to give refunds, not paying their bills and, in a few cases,
writing bad checks.
Instead of dealing with the facts, they take part in
personal attacks well we at the EYE will soldier on exposing them. We’ll
soldier on helping others do the same. And soldier on by sharing this very sad
comment about their tactics:
Kirby, you are correct that anyone who questions PRS
is immediately painted to have dishonorable motives without even bothering to
consider the facts.
I’ve been made aware of certain postings made to the PRS website within the last couple of days concerning Susan Grace. Those posts mention her by her full name and age. Being a former member of the Refunds group she created and a personal friend of Susan’s, I can attest to several inaccuracies contained throughout the postings on the PRS forum concerning Susan and that group. The most significant is that no one posted “personal information” about Ryan that is going to place him in any sort of danger. Moreover, I am not aware of any conduct by the part of any Refunds member – past or present – that would even remotely warrant the issuance of the restraining order posters are clamoring for. Finally, PRS’ representations that Susan is retarded and dangerous are totally unfounded. The legitimacy of the Rip Off website itself was even called into question…
As if the discussion on the PRS forums wasn’t enough of a deflection from the real issues and facts, PRS also proceeded to send out emails to certain individuals demanding links to the report be removed from their personal facebook pages complete with threats to call the police (for what, I have no idea). I want anyone reading this to ask themselves if that’s the way a legitimate business handles customer complaints.
Susan’s report is a factual, well-researched and fully documented narrative of her experience. Where she chose to post it precisely is insignificant. Additionally, a few complaints have been filed with law enforcement, Eventbrite, and local attorney generals’ offices. If PRS is free of any wrongdoing, I’m sure these agencies will investigate the matter and find it to be so. All businesses occasionally have to go through such an audit, which should only be cause for concern if there is misconduct present. If PRS is only going to be shown to be an above board organization at the conclusion of these investigations, why would they fight having that proved? Think about it.
Consistent with past practice, PRS has decided to respond to the customers’ concerns by bullying and attacking anyone who thinks that perhaps such matters should be looked into, threatening to make false, unfounded reports to the police, resorting to childish name-calling and casting a false light on motives, character and mental health. I am all too personally familiar with these diversion tactics, which are designed only to illicit emotional hysteria (‘Susan’s dangerous; we need to protect Ryan; forget about the refunds’). This is the smoke screen PRS lives behind to avoid addressing real problems. I caution any reader of the comments posted by PRS on its forum against being romanced by such superfluous dramatics.
Had someone from PRS responded to Susan’s initially very cordial inquiries, I doubt things would have escalated to this point. When people feel their voices are being heard, they have no cause to go digging around or to start aggressively pushing an issue. Perhaps PRS will take this as a lesson to improve its system of communication with its patrons. However, given my own experiences and the unbecoming attitudes being displayed on the PRS forum right now, I highly doubt PRS is ready to exercise that level professionalism.

Dalai Lama on Freedom
When you are free, you understand freedom. When you are not free, you might understand it more.
I have often experienced up-close situations where people are not free.
His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama explains, “Today, the values of democracy, open society, respect for human rights, and equality are becoming recognized all over the world as universal values.
To my mind there is an intimate connection between democratic values and the fundamental values of human goodness.
Where there is democracy there is a greater possibility for the citizens of the country to express their basic human qualities, and where these basic human qualities prevail, there is also a greater scope for strengthening democracy. Most importantly, democracy is also the most effective basis for ensuring world peace.”
I spent time in Warsaw, Poland during the Solidarity Movement when the country was occupied by Russian communists and a state of war—martial law—was enforced. Curfews restricted movement, shops ran out of food and basics.
Luxury items such as coffee were non-existent. The people I interviewed supported the Solidarity workers who were trying to re-gain control of their country. They wanted freedom.
I did not know how difficult my situation would be, until I arrived. But strangers eased my distress.
According to His Holiness, “We also need to focus on cultivating good human relations, for, regardless of differences in nationality, religious faith, race, or whether people are rich or poor, educated or not, we are all human beings.
When we are facing difficulties, we invariably meet someone, who may be a stranger, who immediately offers us help. We all depend on each other in difficult circumstances, and we do so unconditionally. We do not ask who people are before we offer them help. We help because they are human beings like us.”
When the Russian KGB (State Security Committee) detained me and took me in for questioning, I was terrified.
However, the interrogating officer ended up helping me. He had a fern plant on his tiny window sill. It was struggling to stay alive in the cold and lack of light. I commented on the plant and we struck up a conversation about keeping ferns healthy in the deep of winter.
He was impressed by my Polish which I had learned as a child from my Polish grandmother and soon I was released.
He urged me to take the first available flight out of Poland when air travel resumed. And when he handed back my passport we smiled at each other with loving kindness and respect.
“Peace starts within each one of us,” The Embodiment of the compassion of Avalokiteshvara assures us.
“When we have inner peace, we can be at peace with those around us. When our community is in a state of peace, it can share that peace with neighboring communities and so on. When we feel love and kindness toward others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace.”
Today Poland is a free country.
