Staying Spiritually Safe From The Enemy

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season so far. It’s just now starting to cool down here in Florida. 48° is cold for us here. Lol. My heart goes out to the victims from the California fires. Let’s please keep them in our thoughts. I can’t imagine over 10,000 homes and businesses are burned down.

Christians are responsible to test words of teaching and prophecy. The Bereans were considered noble for hearing the teaching of Paul and Silas, receiving them with eagerness and “examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so” (Acts 17:11). These believers tested the words of the apostles, examining the Scriptures to see if what they were being taught was consistent with what they knew of God’s revelation of Himself. In doing this they modeled the task of all believers. Christians are ultimately responsible for what they choose to believe, no matter whether or not they have been gifted with the spiritual gift of discernment.

When a person becomes converted and receives God's spirit they immediately enter into a war-like struggle against two large opponents and a lot of it consists in the mind. It’s satans most tool to attack! They will have to fight these two powerful enemies every day of their life until they die. The first major opponent Christians face is themselves. They must battle their own human nature with its self-defeating, sinful and destructive tendencies. The apostle Paul referred to this constant battle of the mind Christians face in his book to the Romans. The second lifelong opponent true believers must face is the devil and the world he has deceived into thinking and acting like he does (Ephesians 2:2, 1John 5:19, Revelation 12:9, etc.). Jesus, in his prayer to the Father before his crucifixion, reveals the ultimate attitude of those who do not believe God against those who do. I have given them (the disciples and all Christians by extension) Your words, and the world has hated them. . . (John 17)

Paul tells us, in no uncertain terms, that believers do not fight a carnal war that is so familiar to the world but rather one that is on a spiritual plane. A battle in the mind as I said above. Because “we are not wrestling against flesh and blood, but against principalities and against powers, against the world rulers of the darkness of this age, against the spiritual power of wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 6)

We must create the armor of God to protect ourselves, what other ways can we stop the enemy from influencing us? We have to avoid all evil influences in our life. We can find these influences through music that we listen to, the TV shows and movies that we watch, and activities that are tied to the occult that we can find ourselves silently drawn towards or introduced to via our acquaintances and friends. We don't realize how the little things we do can open up doors and allow legal rights for demonic influence in our life. I'm so guilty of this myself. None of us are perfect nor are we expected to be. Remember Jesus Christ died for our sins. We can repent and be forgiven.

While the fallen angels have no control over your Free Will, they do have some preternatural abilities to influence your thoughts. They will silently tempt you, often to impure thoughts, or into dissuading you from some good effort. Construct a mental picture of Our Lord Jesus Christ during His Passion. Focus on His pierced hands or feet, or maybe His carrying of the Cross, or concentrate on His crowning with thorns or scourging at the pillar. You will be amazed at how fast the evil thoughts will flee.

The dark forces pull out all the stops to trick us out of our good intentions, and it is only by our soul's determination to succeed and by the grace of God's assistance that we can get back on track. The last thing Christ said after revealing his self to a certain amount of people after he rose from the dead was “I leave you with the power of the Holy Spirit So that you may cast demons out in my name.” Without your spiritual armor on tight (the light of God sealed around you), it's easy to fall prey to a spiritual attack. Satan is God of this world.

These so-called attacks don't have to be very in-your-face. As a matter of fact, they work better when they aren't obvious, because you're less likely to do anything about it. Cunning and subtle methods cause us to accept an intrusion into our world as 'the way things are' or 'just part of our personality'. We have no clue we are receiving or are under demonic influence. They never stop. It’s their job here on earth. It’s a constant struggle.

It's important to recognize when we need to call to God to take care of that negative energy. Praying for discernment is key, as well as just simply practicing. I always like to pray for his protection and favor every day I wake up and every night before I go to bed. The power of prayer is very much stronger than what many people realize I believe.

Spiritual warfare is really one of the greatest blessings we have. We don't have to wallow in the darkness, we can call for spiritual protection from the forces of light and they will fight back and raise us out of whatever negative state of mind or being we are in. Praise God we have these ways of protection.

Demonic Portals -- Do These Really Exist?

In this blog I will lay out an understanding that certain aspects need to be examined to truly understand why activity is taking place within a home and the lives of individuals.  This blog is the result of several active cases ongoing who are struggling with aspects of demonic activity which they themselves cannot get rid of and improper people have actually made the situations worse. Understand this is as struggle for these people to bear, however what is even more upsetting is when I explain to people actions must stop and the word of God must be adhered to but choosing not to.

Several cases I am working involve individuals living together and pretending to be a “family” with or without children.  When children are involved the case is always more severe which pains and hurts my heart to see.  So why then is this activity taking place?  Well if you have been following my blogs you would understand that the reason the demonic are upon people are as follows – Ancestral Sin aspects, Own hands involved in Sin, improper homes of pagan and satanic worshippers who resided there, etc…

Covering this aspect, several cases I am working involve people who are living together as boyfriend/girlfriend without the marriage commitment, are acting as husband and wife.  The world will call this a “trial run” before marriage to learn how the other person lives or is.

Let me just say that there are plenty of excuses out there to justify our actions of living together (money, sharing bills, aspects of we are going to get married anyway, we should live together first to see if we are compatible, or I won’t really know him/her until we live together). I’ll be the first to tell you from personal experience, these excuses do not justify the actions.

These ongoing cases are having a hard time of understanding that their own hands are adding to these diabolic problems.  The activity which is taking place within these cases range from severe banging on walls all the way to severe blood fueled attacks.  Everything you can imagine is happening, full body apparitions, hoof prints being placed on the body (even children), people (including children) walking around in trance like states for periods of time without them ever remembering any of this aspect of what occurred.

The harsh reality of living together brings far more aspects within your home than you really understand.  The point of this blog is to show you the reader just one aspect of diabolical attacks and to help the paranormal community understand this is a very crucial aspect to removing the diabolic opponents.

Many times these people have now created “hardships” because they have become accustomed to living together, but sadly they are not ready to commit to marriage or are not in love with each other anymore but are now “stuck”.  This is a ploy that the diabolic use against these people because the very word of God states we’re not to engage in living together before marriage with many bible verses:

Hebrews 13:4 advises us that the marriage bed is to be undefiled.
Exodus 20:14 tells us that God does not approve of sex outside of marriage.
Ephesians 5:3 advises us that we cannot have a relationship with God and fornicate too.
Revelation 21:8 advises us that unrepentant adulterers and fornicators will be judged.

People who are living together as a “trial run” before truly getting married and are going through diabolic attacks, one must start on the path of repentance back towards God.  One cannot fall under the wing of protection of our Lord God Almighty found in Psalm 91, because their own actions, one is supporting actions that are openly mocking God.  I always show and state to people what the bible instructs about life and proper living.  However, when this goes against their hearts and desires they get upset.

These people get upset because of the fact that we are pointing out direct sin within their lives and giving grounds to the diabolic forces to be there.  The diabolic operate on grounds of sin.  Many times these people know in their hearts they should not be doing this act, but the excuses like the ones I listed in the beginning come up to support their case of staying together under one roof.

Many times both men and women get upset in learning aspects of what they must do to walk free.  I have often been asked this “well can’t we just live then in separate rooms, or can’t one sleep on the couch while the other sleeps in the bed?”  Sadly, the answer is no.  You are still mocking God especially when you tell a clergy member that you know who Jesus Christ is and that he is in your life.  So then why are you openly sinning?  This is one of the aspects that is keeping the diabolic within your lives.

When this frustration arises within a case of those living together, I simply tell the people the following words – “Choose God or the devil, because you cannot have both” (Matt. 6:24, Luke 16:13).  You want God to set you free, but you want to continue (stay) in your ways of the world.  Do you really think God will then set you free?  God knows your heart and desires.

It is usually right then that I have to back away to let God work and convict upon his “children”. People need time to let these words of truth sink into their hearts and minds.  We must plant the seeds of Holy truth to allow God to show them the error within their lives and how to become free.

Once the seeds of truth are planted and truth has been shown, the diabolic will retaliate and sometimes the actions are more severe, because it is done to place more fear within those they are upon.  The act of retaliation is due to the diabolic not wanting steps by those whom are afflicted taken towards God, but to keep them right where they are at.

The actions of “free will” that we have within our lives to choose righteousness or choose the ways of the world come into play.  Several of our cases have sought out other assistance from other “improper sources”, who have made actions within the case worse than they were at in the beginning.  They are told to do “this or that” which is falseness to only have enhanced actions come against the people for following those improper actions.

This always breaks down to the question of wanting to keep your chains of bondage or become set free from these chains.  Each comes with a price to pay and the challenges associated to each path.  I pray this has opened your eyes further to specific aspects of case work when dealing with diabolic forces within the family network.  If this is not being looked at seriously then you are missing the mark for 1 John 3:6 states “No one who abides in Him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen Him or known Him”.

What Is Spiritual Warfare?

Hello para beauties! I hope everyone is well and everyone you love is healthy. I know many are also preparing for the holiday and have family in and out of town and have hardly a moment to sleep. Some of us have no one. Let's pray for anyone that might be suffering with depression and feelings of loneliness. This time of year especially, brings about a lot of human emotions. A lot of us hide this and I ask that you turn to God. Please open your heart to his and ask him to give you peace again and no more torment. It is a spiritual battle to be faced everyday however, we already know who wins. Fear is not of God. Perfect Love casts out fear.

Spiritual warfare is an activity by Christians whereby satan and demons are fought, using a variety of methods and prayers depending on the group, mostly a lot of prayer and fasting. From a biblical point of view, spiritual warfare is the cosmic war of good versus evil: its battles are fought daily between God and Satan; between the Christian Church and the world fueled by our spiritual enemy; and within every child of God, between the Holy Spirit and the lusts of the carnal flesh. The clear meanings of good and evil, as defined by God rather than man, are revealed within the verses of the Holy Bible and the life of Jesus Christ. The Book of Daniel, chapter ten, provides one of the most striking examples of spiritual warfare found in Scripture. Remember when Daniel was held in captivity in a foreign land due to a great spiritual conflict, which led to the conquest of Israel and Judah. He resorts to intense prayer, which includes fasting, to seek guidance from God, verses 2,3. He receives a miraculous vision and word, verses 5–9 (which introduce. 10–12), from one having the appearance of a man (cf. verses 16,18), who may have been an angel, but whose description in verses 5,6, seems to match that of Christ in Revelation 1:13–16. Daniel’s earthly conflict extends to the heavenly realm, as the spiritual messenger was delayed by a demon, until being assisted by an archangel, verses 12–14. Strong resistance was met due to the importance of the answer to Daniels’s prayer, as it is a prophecy on Satanic activity in the end time.

Do we have a say in the matter?

When a person becomes converted and receives God's spirit they immediately enter into a war-like struggle against two large opponents and a lot of it consists in the mind. They will have to fight these two powerful enemies every day of their life until they die. The first major opponent Christians face is themselves. Because we are not wrestling against flesh and blood, but against principalities and against powers, against the world rulers of the darkness of this age, against the spiritual power of wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6)

Do You Have God's Peace?

By Pastor Stephen Piersall

Wars and even more wars, every day in the news it is the headlines! Have you ever done a study and find a time that there was NOT a war on this planet? Even Jesus described to his disciple's wars, and rumors of wars would be a sign toward "End of Times." That fact alone makes it difficult for us to figure that one out, considering WWI & II, were the wars to end all wars.

Have you ever stopped to think of whom is the mastermind of wars? Satan is the driving influence behind man's viciousness to his fellow man. He is the source of instigation of wars. Satan wants to eradicate humans because he knows our ultimate potential of becoming glorified sons of God. He hates that our destiny is, among other things, to judge angels (1 Corinthians 6:3, Hebrews 2:10, 1 Peter 5:8).

The devil cannot directly destroy human beings without God's express permission (Job 1:12, Luke 22:31). Therefore, he sets himself to influence humans to destroy themselves, hoping to end it all through the bloodshed of the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21).

Satan will fail, but the path of his destruction is right before our eyes. Here are some examples?

·      Abortion

·      Alcohol

·      Drive-by shootings

·      Drugs

·      Genocide

·      Process foods

·      Race riots

·      School shootings

·      Smoking

I am sure you can name a few more yourself. We, for the most part, are not directly affected unless a friend or family member, or a well-known personality, e.g., Robin Williams. Yes, it is a shame for anyone. For that matter, to die because of Satan's influence.

I figured since this is fresh in our minds, to mention once again, there is an alternative. No amount of money can buy you the life insurance policy that Jesus has for us. If you have not accepted the gift of Salvation, now is the time to decide. God created us in his image, but also gave us "Free-will" to determine what we do with our own lives.

Buying a new car, yes we can sleep on it and decide in the future. As for your opportunity of eternal life in Heaven, you may NOT awaken the next day to consider it more. Now, is the time to decide! If you already are a Christian, I ask you how many individuals are on your own prayer journal that you are praying for regarding salvation.

If you are against it altogether, go about your day as you see fit.

If you are on the fence and leaning toward God, drop to your knees and just ask Our LORD Jesus for forgiveness. My staff and I are available, and you can contact us multiple ways listed below. We will be glad to answer your questions, guide, and pray for you. Even so, YOU must make the first step. †

Soul Care

By Pastor Stephen Piersall
God's Preservation Ministry, http://www.gpmsc.org/
https://www.facebook.com/GodsPreservationMinistry

My Grandmother and Grandfather raised me during my first five years, and they were very religious. In fact, they named me “Stephen” from the book of Acts. Grandmother always said that I would be in the ministry one day and was so impressed when I accepted Jesus at the age of 12 in 1964. I know my grandparents are looking down from Heaven and fulfilled of the fact that I achieved a lifelong goal of becoming an Ordained Pastor. For my critics, NO, it was not an online buy a certificate program ministry.

Through the next several years, including 21 years in the USAF and to the present, I have been in and out of many distinctive denominational churches depending where the Air Force sent me and my family. Participation was important in raising our children, as we all got caught up in some sort of capacity with children’s church, Sunday school teacher, youth activities, prison ministries, visitations, etc. I believe that exposure helped me see things in a diverse world view perspective.

As a result, January 2010 God answered prayer and led me to start an online ministry “God’s Preservation Ministry Soul Care” (gpmsc.org/), which has a focus to help people with Salvation, Repentance, Deliverance, Restoration Healing, and soul care. Soul Care is where many churches fall short as when a person accepts the Salvation, Jesus offers, or members stop showing and perhaps are backslidden. Is there a program like this at your local church? Please contact me. I would love to hear how other churches do so. I am very Blessed; at my local church, they have such a program already in place.

This is the path God has led and has resulted in helping many individuals and families thus far. Sharing with my staff some course material we now have made an advancement to stay focused on our journey on God’s path to be like the apostles through setting up a Rule of Life program for us, and our clients for aftercare follow up. We are striving to attain a balance and the flexibility for all involved and always looking for more experienced people to join with us.

Personal Responsibility for Soul Care really hit home for me. Caring, assisting, volunteering, and reaching out to people has always been a characteristic that God has groomed in me over the years. In addition quiet time is taking our two pugs for walks several times a day, which provides the opportunity to exercise and converse with God. It also provides a friendly reminder of praying for our neighborhood and for the darkness in the homes to leave and let God’s light shine in.

Since striving to be a perfectionist starting from early childhood from years of being an abused child and never meeting the unattainable expectations of my parents, I have always carried the guilt of past imperfections. Learning that it is more important to understand and focus on the progress, and not the perfection has already helped in my spiritual journeys.

Since I am a Disabled Veteran, I have much time available for me, and yet I struggle at times with trying to get everything accomplished. The steps in balancing busyness with my ministry, family, medical issues, local church and continuous ministry course work, are a work in progress. My wife Karen and I do a family Bible devotional around 6 pm each night, and set aside the rest of the evening for each other and our dogs. Family time with rest and relaxation is important to have with everyone’s busy lives. I have come to the conclusion that people today are no different than back in the Biblical days where we want to have our cake and eat it too. I will say, as Christians who doesn't want to be like Jesus? Fewer want to do the work of maintenance to be humble, caring, forgiving and healing. People in general want to accept God into their lives, but offer much resistance to the required lifestyle changes. This has compelled me to be stronger in my faith and seek continued discernment in prayer, so I know how to help them in a way that would be acceptable for them at their season with God. I do not take their rejection personally, and accept that God gave us “Free Will” and not everyone I witness to will accept Christ. Perhaps I am planting the (mustard) seed, and someone else will come along and help cultivate them in their spiritual life.

Accepting each day as a new beginning and thankful for the trials and blessings make me eager to want to learn more and share the Gospel with those in need. Every conversation I have with people I always find a way to speak of God and try to remember to end the visit by telling them “God Blesses." Amazing on how many people will say it back to you and some seemed stumped and do not know how to respond. That leads me to believe there is another lost soul and gives the opportunity to speak with them at length when time and opportunity permits again.

Contemplative spirituality and flexibility go hand in hand. Jesus showed us many times the importance of having quiet time with God. Even before appointing the twelve disciples, Jesus went and prayed to God in solitude. Just as we are to pray for all things, I do much better when I pray and let God control the steering wheel of my life. 2 Timothy 2:15 “be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.” This Bible verse reminds me to be like a Berean at times and to seek out the truth, but does not use that truth to condemn others. Learning about Formational reading has opened up another approach to the study of God’s word and has helped me not to feel guilty when I am unable to complete the scripture reading I planned for the day. It is no longer important on how many times reading the Bible in a year are compared to the closeness gained by reading scripture and praying about it.

Jesus, throughout the four Gospels gives us excellent examples to develop a regular habit of finding times for solitude and prayer seeking his guidance and discernment. When reading what Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 “pray without ceasing” is more than words. Having God continuously on my mind all day long for me is peaceful, comforting, and secure. God has shown me that continued grace, forgiveness, discernment and the plan that he has outlined and dedication on my part must be consistent. Therefore, going forward my personal goals are to increase my reading time in God’s word, covering more material repeatedly at a quicker pace and set aside time for Formational reading as well. May this find you blessed and in favor of God’s grace

Demonic Video Games Influence

By Evangelist Stephen Piersall, God’s Preservation Ministry, sfprs.org/

You can really relate to your own age when you can remember Intellivision, Atari 2600, Commodore computers, and 1981 when Donkey Kong hit the arcades. What in the world, did we do as kids before that? We played outside; Bike riding (had a Varoom motor, and streamers), Hula Hoops, Croquet, ball sports, Tonka toys, Tag, Hide & Seek, Kick the Can, Hop Scotch, tree climbing, etc. SIGH!!!
As kids, we went outside to play after doing your homework “first.” We relied on our imaginations and limitless energy to be active. Mom said, “You kids go outside and play!” We were gone until we heard our name to come home for supper then back outside again until the street lights came on. SIGH!!!

With regular visits with our grandchildren, we started to see a trend and nipped it in the bud real quick. They would start to argue as we approach our apartment on who gets the laptop, Kindle, and putting the TV on Disney or some dumb sponge with other weird-looking characters. We could have pizzas delivered every hour, and we could go away for the weekend and they would not know it. I am one of those “bad” grandfathers, when I take the two pugs out the kids come with me, and funny how I find it possible to find the long way around the neighborhood. Hey! We have to find time to get on our own electronic devices too LOL!

Keep in mind this blog is not just toward your children, but for you, adults too. After finances, the #2 items for arguments in marriages are the fact that at least one is now home from work rooted on the couch with energy drinks, wearing headphones talking to their friends they are playing video games with. It does not work at our house, as when yours truly am on the computer playing some music, or online training course, wife Karen’s voice is loud enough that I get the hint if I sit here too long. LOL

Video games can easily cause people of all ages to become fixated to the point of obsession. That and the content of many are the two primary dangers. Some say it is just the times we live in, but when you factor in the devil’s motives in finding ways to keep us away from God. The combining of culture and technology we see is making it easier for him to win his battles. No doubt, that much of the content in these games is diabolically disposed. That is certainly true for all other media like the Internet, movies, and TV.

Video games are highly interactive, and many are about killings, zombies, robbery, high-speed chases away from law enforcement, etc. The greater engaging the game, the further deeply we are drawn. We might understand this is just a game, and in the reality of life is meaningless. What about the many who do not recognize that fact? It can begin to affect our behavior, and it starts to control us, and becomes an addiction. Whatever in life comes our way where we waste away time, energy, focus, and emotions it dominates us and everything else, and dare say becomes “cult” like or very close to "worshiping."

God gave us Free Will, and every Christian should know that life is full of trials and tribulations, and we are accountable for our choices in life. While we can agree, the content in some of these games is troubling; the obsessive behavior they are prone to generate is even more of a danger. If anything else besides Jesus Christ comes to have the top place in our life, in our hearts, that is where we run into trouble. Once we genuinely put Jesus Christ, first in our lives everything else that raises itself up against the truth of the Word of God, and our spiritual growth increases, evil is defeated. These choices have to come from inside, and those who take that road all the way to the end are few (Matt.7:14). However, if we are only willing to have just a little faith, small as a grain of sand or a mustard seed, our merciful God will be there to help us with every forward step we choose to take.
Researchers have been able to link tempestuous criminals and bloodthirsty video games, which in turn these studies have shown that those young people to get into trouble at school and likely to bully other students are also most likely to play even more violent video games.

We always need to be careful what we are letting into our brains, and need to be especially wary when participating in activities that cause us to act contrary to God's principles. God has saved us and called us to a holy life (2 Timothy 1:9). Let us; therefore, out of love for God and gratefulness for Christ's saving work, follow the wise words of Paul:

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
