The Cosmic Christ…Halloween…and the Devil

9 “As I looked, thrones were placed, and the Ancient of Days took his seat; his clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames; fits wheels were burning fire. 10  A stream of fire issued and came out from before him; a thousand thousands served him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him; the court sat in judgment, and the books were opened. 11 “I looked then because of the sound of the great words that the horn was speaking. And as I looked, the beast was killed, and its body destroyed and given over to be burned with fire. 12 As for the rest of the beasts, their dominion was taken away, but their lives were prolonged for a season and a time. The Son of Man Is Given Dominion 13 “I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him. 14  And to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom one that shall not be destroyed. (Daniel 7)
 
Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and in the midst of the lampstands jone like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest. 14 The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire, 15 his feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters. 16 In his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword, and this face was like the sun shining in full strength.

17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last, 18 and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades. 19 Write therefore the things that you have seen, those that are and those that are to take place after this. 20 As for the mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden lampstands, the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches. (Revelation 1:12-20)

When we think of power encounters between Christians and demons, the name of Jesus is our refuge and our strength. The "name" of Jesus is not a magical incantation.When we appeal to His name, it signifies the Person and the work of Christ. When we say "...in Jesus name" at the end of a prayer, we recognize that it is the atoning death of God incarnate that allows us to appear with a childlike boldness before the Father.

As we approach Halloween, themes of death and demonic looking costumes and yard displays are ubiquitous. On a more serious note, devotees of the occult see this time of year as prime time for communing with ‘spirits’. The devil, who is already prowling around like a lion seeking whom he can destroy, takes advantage of these door openings and ramps up his activity….such is Halloween.

From time immemorial, there was a growing awareness and anticipation amongst God’s people that a mysterious, divine Warrior was going to come on the scene, and act like a “Cosmic Hit-Man” who would deal sin, death, and Satan.

I want to take us on a tour of the atonement--the cross of Christ--so that we might have a deeper understanding of this many splendored thing, and how it relates to the paranormal. When was the first announcement of the gospel? Immediately after Adam and Eve committed cosmic treason, we hear the Lord speaking to Satan, "And I will cause hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will strike your head, and you will strike His heel." (Genesis 3:15) His first actions are grace-filled--God graciously converts the sinful woman's affections from Satan to Himself (hostility between Eve and Satan). From that point, humanity is now divided into two communities (Satan's offspring and Eve's offspring). Now here is where it gets really interesting. Two striking or bruisings are going to happen. Before His glorious victory, the woman's Seed (Jesus) must suffer to win the new community from the serpent’s dominion (Isaiah 53:12; Col.1:24)  However, the head wound (compared to being shot in the heel) would be fatal. Not only was sin conquered on the cross, but Satan and death too.

Many Christians don’t realize that one of the primary purposes of the cross was to destroy the devil and his works…it carried into the spirit realm to all across the cosmos.

Tonight I was playing slay the dragon with my five year old grandson, only he wanted to be the dragon AND carry the sword...leaving me with this puny shield!  He came swinging that plastic sword all over the place.."Please dragon, don't hit me in the head.," I pled. (I meant it!!)

The suffering Christ is victorious. He has already won the victory at the cross over the dragon by providing an atonement for the saints (Col.2:13-15) and will consummate it at His Second Coming.

The title or name that Jesus used most frequently to refer to Himself was "Son of Man". It is common for folks to say that ‘Son of God’ refers to Jesus’ deity and ‘Son of Man’ refers to His humanity; but that is not accurate. In Daniel 7:13 the Son of Man is coming with the clouds-only God does this. In Revelation 1:9-20 John (in my opinion Jesus’ closest earthly friend) saw a vision of Jesus as the Son of Man, and His glory was so overwhelming John fell at His feet is if dead. He has a war-like appearance, looking back to the OT battles and anticipating His role in the final battle.The Son of Man is an awesome Cosmic Conqueror obliterating a triad of foes-sin, death, and the Devil. "I have the keys of death and the grave" says this Divine Destroyer of evil.(1:18)

The notion of Jesus as a cosmic ‘hit man’ who, with holy violence, destroys the works of the devil needs to be recovered in our days.
From Genesis to Revelation there is this unifying motif of the Son of Man/woman who will come, not as a baby in a manger, (though He was that) but as the Fearsome Warrior--bringing healing even to the cosmos itself.(Romans 8)

In the midst of this crazy election season, we need to remember what the most significant political event in the history of the world was: the ascension of the Son of Man. After smashing the head of the Serpent, Jesus sat down next to His Father. But he didn’t sit down in a lounge chair..King Jesus sat down on His throne as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Please read this passage in Revelation and then ask: who is in control of the paranormal realm? Can there be criteria for becoming a ghost if the awesome Son of Man holds the keys to death and the grave/hades? What does that mean that He holds the keys to death? It means he owns it….He created death, as a consequence to sin. But we need to see the death of death in the death of Christ.The Son of Man does not play around, and any views which even remotely undermines Christ’s absolute sovereign control over death, needs to be rejected. Most interpretations of the paranormal don’t take this fact into consideration. That is a grave oversight (pardon pun) because it dishonors the Son of Man and all He’s done to redeem us from the very spirits folks are seeking to commune with.

Look again at the visions in Daniel and Revelation. Would you mess with Him? How can you play around with the paranormal in light of this awesome display of divine glory? The Son of Man came to save us from demonic bondage…why do we not declare warfare when we discover spirit activity in our homes?…It is evil.

This one vision of Jesus precludes me from believing that human spirits can be trapped here...This is an in-family debate, because folks more godly than I differ with me on this. But here I stand...The Son of Man, born of a woman (Mary) now sits enthroned as the Cosmic Conqueror.

Halloween is actually a good opportunity to communicate to unbelievers, believers, and even pastors regarding the reality of the Cosmic Christ. Overt demonic activity is at an all-time high, and will increase during Halloween. PLEASE plead with all you know to leave the spirit realm alone, and that ALL paranormal activity is cause for concern. And maybe, just maybe, your pastor will seek how to release those under demonic oppression.

In Martin Luther's "A Mighty Fortress" he has a verse on Satan and his power, but at the end He writes "one little word shall fell him.".......Jesus.

My Basic Beliefs About What the Paranormal Realm IS...

... and How That Relates to People’s Suffering

Ever since I became interested in the paranormal, I felt a call from God to analyze the basic beliefs of the paranormal community. But underneath that was a deeply felt compassion and concern for those who are unwittingly exposing themselves to danger by their involvement in the paranormal and the demonic.

Recently, I came across an excellent article by Tim Yohe, whom I have subsequently met, who expressed concern about the physical dangers of being exposed to the demonic via involvement with the paranormal. Tim was kind enough to mention me in his blog and I sincerely want to thank him for his gracious and kind spirit…as well as his deep compassion for those who are (or may) suffering from serious diseases or organ failure. Tim mentioned that he met a woman who is trying to collate the data of the connection between the paranormal and ‘getting sick’….hopefully by July.

It occurred to me that if we want to deal with this issue thoroughly, then we need to ask a very basic question: WHAT IS THE PARANORMAL REALM? If we wish to understand more fully why an increasing number of folks are suffering by being involved with the paranormal, then we must understand what the paranormal realm IS. That will be my main focus in this blog.

In this blog I simply want to explore the origin and nature of the spirit realm. I will mostly leave it to the reader to assess what is appropriate behavior towards the supernatural realm, after discussing what it IS. My ultimate criterion which gives justification for my beliefs is the Word of God, which is based on the unchanging character of our Triune God. If you are a Christian, then I trust that the Word of God is your ultimate criterion as well. We desperately need to recover a CHRISTIAN MIND, especially with regards to this exploding fascination with the paranormal. All too often we mirror the intellectual status quo, instead of having our minds thoroughly transformed…able to reflect deeply and honestly with people’s honest intellectual questions, which deserve honest intellectual answers. It is a matter of compassion that we listen to the questions/beliefs of those around us, and express an observable love to a watching world.

 As I mentioned, I have had the honor of communicating with Tim Yohe, whom I quoted from a couple weeks ago…and whom I have grown to deeply respect.  He is a man that cares deeply for those who are suffering, and he is trying to do something about it. We share a mutual burden….

As will become clearer, I’m not going to appeal to the scientific method to answer this extremely vital question. Instead, please read the following texts which shed God’s light on the origin and nature of the supernatural realm, which has taken our nation by storm. How can we answer other questions, if we are not clear on what the paranormal realm actually IS? And the bible has a lot to say about that.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. 19 For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross. (Colossians 1:15-20)

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. 7 The Lord said to Satan, “From where have you come?” Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it.” (Job 1)

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. (Ephesians 6)

8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. (1 Peter 5:8-9)

We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. (1 John 5:19)

What do these texts teach us about what the paranormal realm IS?

1. God created all things, including the paranormal realm (invisible, supernatural, spirit realm) out of nothing for His glory. (Genesis 1:1; Colossians 1:15-18) Because the Triune God created the supernatural realm: He owns it, He sustains it moment by moment, and He is absolutely sovereign over it. That MUST be our starting point in our quest. The bible’s view of the paranormal realm (as with all reality) is theo-centric. There are no brute facts in any realm…only theistic facts or data. He not only created and owns the spirit realm, He sustains it moment-by-moment. Otherwise it would ‘poof’ out of existence.

2. Though the Word of God (bible) is not an exhaustive handbook on the paranormal realm, it tells us all we need to know (explicitly or by inference) about it in order to function and interact appropriately with it. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) But that does not mean that there are certain aspects of the paranormal which we can’t learn from observation.

Should we explore it though, like the natural realm? I’ll leave that to you to decide after answering what it IS.

3. Before we ask what is appropriate behavior regarding the paranormal—what kind of exploration is proper?—we need to know what the spirit realm IS? From Genesis to Revelation, the invisible realm on earth is the place that God has sovereignly placed Satan and his demons, until they are hurled into hell for all eternity. (see texts above) Of course, holy/elect angels exist here as well, but the paranormal realm ON EARTH is where Satan and countless demons lurk around as roaring lions, seeking those whom they can devour. The important thing to note is that GOD placed Satan and his minions here…in what we call the paranormal realm.

 It is the spiritual battleground between angels and demons. God has placed them here on earth, and as spirit beings, they operate from the spirit realm…interacting with the visible realm. The important fact is that, by God’s decree, the entire paranormal realm is a supernatural battle field in which a battle royal is being waged. It is imperative that we understand that the paranormal realm is essentially a place where armed conflict of the most vicious kind is occurring moment-by-moment (Daniel 10; Ephesians 6, ect.) Of course this conflict spills over into the natural realm, but its origin is in the spirit realm, what we call the paranormal.

I live next to a national military park—where the Battle of Guilford Courthouse was waged in March 1789. It is a battlefield, but it is an INACTIVE battlefield. The spirit realm/heavenlies (Ephesians 6) is an ACTIVE battlefield….every human being is a target for Satan/demons who are lurking about…HERE.

This is extremely important—if I could use just one word to express what the paranormal realm IS, it is a “BATTLEFIELD”. Surely, this fact sheds some light on the dangers of purposely ‘entering it’.
Would you rush headlong into a fire-fight between American soldiers and ISIS terrorists? Surely not! Satan/demons are the ultimate cosmic terrorists who are waging war 24/7, and we must re-think if we are endangering ourselves by certain behaviors relative to the paranormal realm.

4. The creation/cultural mandate given first to Adam and Eve, and then to their descendants, was to subdue all creation (Genesis 1:26-29) in a way that reflected God’s holy and loving character—and love for His creation. However, you will note that this foundation for the scientific enterprise and technological advancements is limited to the natural realm.

In Genesis 2:19-20 God brought before Adam all the various kinds of animals, and whatever Adam called them, that was their name—showing the creation/cultural mandate in action. Again, this holy and happy taxonomic exploration was limited to the natural/visible realm. Never does God ask Adam to name any inhabitants of the supernatural or explore it. Why not?

Perhaps one is thinking, “Adam also did not explore space…go the moon…experience the internet.” Quite true! But he started the ball rolling that eventually brought us to that place. Moreover, all of the technological advances mentioned are within the realm that God sanctioned for exploration—namely, the natural realm.

Just because we can do something, does mean that we should…and we are finding out now the physical suffering many people are enduring for trying to extend the creation mandate to the spirit realm.

The urge to extend exploration to the paranormal is understandable because we are naturally inquisitive. However, in light what the paranormal realm IS, should we not re-think our strategy and assumptions?

5.  As a corollary, we are given no indication that Adam’s creational supremacy and stewardship extended to the paranormal realm. (I am not referring to the work of Christ, but creational inquiry) Indeed the first appearance of a paranormal creature was Satan, who had taken over control (or appeared as) one of the beasts of the field(3:1)…where he is called ‘a beast of the field’. The Hebrew word (arum) for ‘crafty’ does not necessarily take on the negative connotations of English usage.

6. Given all of the above—what the paranormal IS--what role should a child of God (or anyone) play in exploring the paranormal realm? I have no doubt that discoveries are being made, but at what price? Something I am convinced of is that folks will NEVER be able to discern the true identity of paranormal entities solely through scientific means. The scientific method was designed to discover God’s laws graciously manifested in nature. It is not equipped to explore a realm which is essentially a spiritual battleground, harboring creatures of unspeakable evil and deception. When scientists explore the visible realm (from astro-physics to zoology), they don’t have to be concerned about entities who are pure evil and who are master deceivers—and who will intentionally manipulate the data to suit their infernal purposes. How can we trust the results, when they are hell-bent on deceiving us?

In sum, we have been speaking of the physical dangers folks face when exploring the paranormal. My hope and prayer is that this brief blog will shed some light on this subject. Given what we have seen about what the paranormal realm IS—and I say this with tears—is it any wonder that some folks are getting very sick and even dying?

Residual Hauntings -- The Falseness Exposed

In this blog I am going to help you the reader understand what paranormal people like to claim as a “residual haunting” to be real.  The haunting is real, however, in order to understand why it is real you need to read the blog “My Haunted Home, the Truth Revealed” so you can understand why this blog which is about residual haunting’s are FALSE.  From the blog ‘My Haunted Home’ I explained who it is doing this activity and why they (DEMONS) are doing this to begin with the home, house or building.

As a refresher so to speak the 3 main reasons a house, home or building is full of activity is:  (1) The former owners were not righteous people thus they engaged within the occult realm giving the Demonic rights to that previous family as well as the residence (i.e. house/home) (2) Sin is present in the lives of the people who now reside within the walls of the house or home (3) Cursed objects are present within the walls of the house or home.

So let me expand your thought pattern upon this subject even more.  In the Holy Bible there are very specific verses which explain as well as nullify the existence of lingering around (Ghosts) after you die.  The very word of God stands as truth and debunks what one can consider a ‘ghost’ as well as a ‘residual haunting’.  When you discuss this type of activity you have to understand this is a lot of falseness with a little truth mixed in.

The truth is that the Demonic are involved pulling strings with some type of intelligence behind this type of torment.  Realize that the Demons are Fallen Angels who are highly intelligent about mankind.  They know more about man than man himself due to the length of time existing since creation.  Now people take and mix into this whole mess of a ‘residual haunting’ a lot of falseness that a person who passes on is doing this act over and over again at the same time or in a similar matter/pattern.  The truth is this, it is the Fallen Angels doing this activity as they are the intelligent ones drawing a person to become more curious.

So I shall explain to you what the very word of God states regarding ‘residual hauntings’ which are false and cannot exist.  We find the very answers from the Holy Bible to nullify a ‘residual haunting’.  The first one is taken from the Book of Job.  Job 7: 9-10 KJV states the following “As the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away: so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no more.  He shall return no more to his house, neither shall his place know him anymore.”

Who is the He this verse is referring to?  This is man, woman or child.  Goeth to the grave – meaning you die – this is final no more can you come up (even as a lingering spirit – i.e. Ghost).  Follow this with the next part – he shall return no more to his house – Why because you have now faced judgment from God – awarded Heaven or cast into Hell.  Lastly, his place (object) shall not know him anymore – meaning one cannot get out of Heaven or Hell to come back, hang around in your once known earthly realm which violates the authority of God.  As I like to say it like this – you think you have more power than God?  Really, do tell me how?

Now to further add even more support here is what is said in other verses within the Holy Bible about residual hauntings as well as the thought process of having Ghosts. Further in the book of Job we find these words in chapter 14:10-12 KJV states “But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he?  As the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up: So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.”

Once again we see that when you die you cannot rise up, go wander about (like a ghost) and reside in your once living paradigm of the earthly realm that you had.  If that is the case then you have more power than God and thus Satan and all forces of evil would fear you!

So to further explain why ‘residual hauntings’ cannot be from once living humans let me examine these Holy Scripture found in the book of Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 KJV which states “For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.  Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion forever in anything that is done under the sun.”

So as you can see this is a double ‘whammy’ against both ‘ghosts’ and the aspects of a  ‘residual haunting’ from this verse above.  As you can read and now understand when you die you have nothing to do under the ‘sun’ anymore.  No more day or night, it is either now Heaven or Hell for your soul.

So why is then that many of the so called experts in the “paranormal realm” ascertain that these activities are occurring is because ‘they are simply lost souls’ wanting to hang around or are angry because you ‘remodeled their home’.  I recently viewed something online which this person stated you linger around because you worked your ‘butt off’ for what you had and now these people are changing everything within your home.

NO, the new home owners can do what they want because you are no longer here.  If you want to continue to believe in ‘residual hauntings’ of a home because of the spirit being upset with the new homeowners, then let’s discuss all these ‘haunted cars’ that are on the roads.  A majority of everyone has or had a vehicle within the last 50 years.  Let’s examine those cars who people took very good care of and since they are dead would they not too be “upset” because someone else is driving “their” vehicle?

So as a reader you’re going to tell me a car is different than a home?  You’re going to say you are comparing apples to oranges.  So am I really?  An object is an object and a possession is a possession.  If you owned it (i.e. a car/truck) then why are you (as a ghost) not going after those who are now driving your former mode of transportation?

How many stories are going around with all these vehicles having a haunting?  Very few and as a matter of fact, and I am willing to bet less than 1%.  More activity of ‘residual hauntings’ are taking place within the walls of the home. The answer why lies with what has taken place inside the home prior has much more strength for evil.  Many more SINS were committed inside the walls of the home/house than inside of a vehicle.

Trapped Spirits ... What Would Jesus Do?

Many millions are curious or confused as to how to relate to the paranormal craze. If you are a Christian, then you have likely asked yourself, “How does my Christian faith inform my views of paranormal activity…how do they relate?”

Would it not be cool if we had a record of how Jesus viewed and interacted with the paranormal realm?  The wonderful thing is that we have four inspired biographies of Jesus’ life, which explicitly reveal Jesus attitude toward, and interaction with, the paranormal realm (or heavenlies, spirit realm, invisible realm).

WWJD?  What would Jesus do?  That is, what would Jesus do today regarding how to view and interact with the paranormal realm? Of course, if we can definitively answer how Jesus interacted with the spirit realm, then that should go a long way to answering how WE should view/interact with the spirit realm, shouldn’t it? May I suggest that you read the four gospels (or choose one) and while reading, have this question on the front-burner: how often does Jesus interact with the trapped spirits of His day? (given basic ghost formation theory, then there should have been a ton of dead humans trapped here on earth) Many Christians are curious or confused as to how their faith relates to the current paranormal craze, and what better way to answer that question than to watch our Master at work.

If you read, say the gospel of Mark, then what becomes immediately obvious is how much time Jesus spent dealing with folks who had “paranormal issues.” No other spiritual leader comes close to Jesus’ near fixation on helping those with “paranormal problems.”

That being the case—how often did Jesus speak to deceased humans? Put another way, how often did they seek Jesus out for help, and how often did Jesus approach deceased humans in order to free them? If you have never done this exercise before, it is quite revealing and instructive!

The first thing we will notice in His bio’s are the innumerable folks He helps who are demon possessed! Like today, demonic activity increased when Jesus was incarnated. Hence, true diabolical possession was a terrible reality which Jesus forcefully and authoritatively dealt with thousands of times during His three year public ministry.

So, when you read the inspired biographies with fresh eyes, how many deceased humans approach their Creator, as countless demoniacs did?  ZERO   Ummm… what is the deal? Since demons and deceased humans are generally said to dwell in same paranormal spiritual ghetto-world (don’t we allegedly have a lot of evidence revealing demonic bullying beyond the grave?) Regardless, I must ask the question again—how many trapped spirits approached Jesus for help…or just revealed themselves as they are supposedly doing to us today? In all four gospels, with a wide variety of spirit realm issues arising, there is not a single recorded case of a trapped spirit trying to get Jesus attention, or vice versa.

How about the opposite—how many trapped spirits did Jesus assertively contact?  How many instances of Jesus speaking to trapped spirits in order to help them? NONE. We have many Christians attempting communication with the souls of deceased loved ones, yet Jesus never did that. Never…not according to His Spirit inspired biographies.

WWJD? That question is rooted in what Jesus has already done during His public ministry. Jesus is our Master, our Lord—we follow His example (when appropriate). AND JESUS NEVER COMMUNICATED WITH EARTHBOUND SPIRITS.

The above argument is simple. Our Master is recorded as having innumerable encounters with demons (encounters with angels as well), but He never encountered trapped human spirits. When I wrote my book, this argument was the most persuasive one I had come across—it remains so. Will you read  the gospel of Mark and ask yourself…WDJD—what did Jesus do? Then you will be ready to ask, WWJD?

What is the Paranormal Realm?

What exactly is the paranormal realm?  We refer to it all the time, and of course we investigate it frequently, but does the Bible say anything aside from the fact that it is the invisible, supernatural realm?  This is yet another basic concept that the paranormal community has unthinkingly embraced.   That may sound harsh, but the stakes are exceedingly high (as we shall see) and there is no more basic question than this.  Everything revolves around this issue, does it not?  No paranormal realm and we would have no paranormal entities; and without the entities, there would be nothing to study...no paranormal community.  So, back to our question – yes, the Bible does give us more detail about the paranormal realm.  In fact, it speaks with great specificity regarding it.  It was mentioned last time, but the supernatural realm is so crucial it deserves to be mentioned again and in more detail.

The text above, from Luke, is a fascinating glimpse into Jesus’ memory of an event that took place before mankind was even created.  Jesus is referring to the swift and decisive judgment that occurred when Lucifer led his prideful rebellion against God.  The folly of his actions is magnified by the fact that he KNEW from sight that God is all-powerful; hence the utter folly and futility of his revolt.  What we accept by faith, Satan saw firsthand when he was still in heaven. (That was a huge mistake/sin, and he continues to sin and make tactical mistakes.)  But more than foolish – it was terribly wicked, and for his/their cosmic treason, Satan and his hoard were hurled out of heaven with great force.  When the revolt was crushed, they were shot like a cannon….down….down…down — fast as lightning — to earth.  “…he (Satan) was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.” (Rev. 12:9)

In Eph. 2:2 Satan is referred to as the prince of the power of the air. “I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming.” (Jn. 14:30)  When Satan was ejected from heaven he had to be sent somewhere, and the Lord ordained earth to be that place.  In that great text in Eph. 6 we are told in v 12 that these forces of darkness are in the heavenly realms — in this context that simply means in the invisible realm, here on earth.

We could multiply more passages but it is clear: the Lord has sovereignly decreed that the paranormal realm is Satan’s abode. Please read that again. Before he is cast into hell forever, Satan and his demonic crew have been ordered by God to occupy earth.  And since they are spirit beings, without bodies, then their primary residential dimension is what we call the paranormal, or heavenlies, in the Bible. What I mentioned in passing last time I want us to meditate on.  I hope when you finish reading this you will ponder the reality and ramifications of the paranormal realm being Satan’s home turf.  Does it not imply that we are going to him, instead of him having to come to us?  We are trespassing on his turf, and more vicious than any human gang, we will pay for simply entering there.  “If there are any spirits here, please give us a sign. We are not here to hurt you.”  Have you ever considered that they might be out to hurt you?  The paranormal realm is not self-referential or self-defining.  When we turn on a full-spectrum camera, we don’t see a welcome sign. “Welcome to the paranormal realm, where all your questions regarding the after-life will be answered.”  The bible has clearly told us this is where pure evil dwells…by divine decree.  And we want to investigate it?!  No wonder an increasing number of investigators are getting sick, dying, or coming under demonic oppression in other ways.  God is not trying to squash our freedom when he forbids entry; it is a fence of love to keep us from danger — much like the two fences I built when my kids were young to prevent them from running into the street.  Whatever restrictions may have been involved were/are motivated by love.  Now that we know what the paranormal realm is, it is the height of madness (or suicide) to continue investigating it.  If the Bible is true, what other rational conclusion can you come to?  Sadly those blinded by a demonic delusion don’t want to be confused by the facts or logic.

Lastly, what are Satan and his demons up to in their God ordained temporary home?  Do I really need to answer that? Gleaning from a few texts, we note that while residing in the invisible realm on earth Satan and his filthy bunch are walking around like a roaring lion to see who they can devour; killing, stealing, and destroying; deceiving; accusing; tempting; and last but certainly not least, they mimic and morph into whatever shape they wish. This is not an exhaustive list by any means, but it should be sufficient to warn us from entering there.  We not only trespass in their property (as odd as that may sound), but we are exposing ourselves to them...in an unnaturally heightened way.  When my eldest sister died, I drove my family to New Jersey for the funeral, but en-route we got lost in the worst part of D.C., the capital of our country.  Crime-ridden and murder soaked, we got out as quickly as possible because I was concerned for the safety of my wife and kids.  The so-called paranormal realm is the capital of Satan’s kingdom of darkness.  The residents are pure evil and 24/7 they are passionately committed to hating God and us—because we are made in His image.  They are able to affect and influence us while still in that realm…there is a thin dimensional veil separating the two, but they are distinct realms.

So we come to our conclusion: do you really think it is wise to enter a realm which is Satan’s temporary home, and where we are interacting with beings who hate us perfectly?  To ask the question is to answer it… This is the home-base where monstrous crimes against humanity are plotted and executed by monstrous beings.  Not the slightest vestige of goodness or sympathy...PURE EVIL... not even Hitler was that evil. Out of these vast cosmos, the paranormal realm on earth is the capital of Satanic and demonic activity, because it is their God-ordained home.  God placed them there and that is where He has ordained that they focus their kingdom building activity.  What more can I say to underline the fact that God Himself has ordained that the paranormal realm is off-limits to us?  It is not easy to transgress against God and Satan at the same time, but investigating the paranormal accomplishes that phenomenal feat. Though Satan has called off his dogs – and delights in our trespassing – nevertheless, it’s no wonder so many EVP’s say “Get out!”  What is the paranormal realm?  It is a place of unspeakable evil and deception; a place no man was to enter before the Final Cleansing and Blessing; the new heaven and earth, and Satan and crew are in hell forever.
