The Paranormal and the Importance of Doctrine

By Reverend Mark Hunnemann

We live in an age of unprecedented escape from reason. Instead of folks making an informed decision regarding eternal truths by the use of the bible and reason, feelings and pragmatism rule the day. For many, they reject anything that they simply don't like and embrace ideas that feel right to them. Others will believe in most anything that seems, at the moment, to work. Of course biblical Christianity does include our feelings, and it does 'work', but to use either of those as the main criterion for determining our beliefs is a certain recipe for disaster, temporally and eternally.

Christianity works because it is true. It is NOT true because it seems to work. The latter makes our observations the final arbiter of 'truth' instead of God and His Word. None of our faculties should be allowed to operate autonomously from God. Yet that happens frequently when professing Christians have a supernatural encounter and mis-identify their experience.

How many times have I/you heard someone say: "That spirit must be good or positive, because it FEELS good and positive."? If God's truth/doctrine truly rules our lives, we would not make such foolish observations.

On a similar note, I heard Jerry Springer say in an advertisement regarding his tabloid TV show: "It is all so wrong, but oh so entertaining!" If we immersed ourselves in doctrine, then we would not want to waste our time in trashy entertainment. And in my opinion, Springer is one of the high priests of filthy entertainment.

Many Christians say that they don't care for doctrine. The reason given is that they think that doctrine is divisive or that they simply believe in Jesus and the bible.

However, the simplest definition of 'doctrine' is expressing the teaching of the bible! We are all theologians (not in the technical sense)--the issue is whether we are good or bad theologians. And that depends on whether what we believe (doctrine!) is consistent with the bible.

And when someone says that they simply believe in Jesus, my reply is 'which Jesus?' There are many false notions of who Jesus is. Who is Jesus? To answer that (biblically!) we have to wrestle with the dual nature of Jesus--He is fully God and fully man. That, my friends, is high doctrine!

Every denomination, or non-denominational church, has its doctrinal distinctives. That is fine, but what has given doctrine a black eye in many Christians eyes is when pastors or lay people camp on those distinctives. For example, I am Presbyterian and reformed in my beliefs. I was not raised that way but came to those beliefs by reading the bible. However, on Facebook and elsewhere, I have tried to not camp on reformed distinctives because that is divisive. Besides, I believe that the Lord has mainly called me to cultural analysis, and especially focusing on exposing the schemes of the devil--focusing more distinctly on the biblical view of the 'paranormal'.

In my opinion, the single most important need of the Christian community today is to re-capture a sense of God's holiness--which, of course, is doctrine. R.C. Sproul has written profoundly on this vital subject.

Regardless of our callings, we need to re-capture a love for truth/doctrine which is God honoring. We need to resist the spirit of the age which downplays both reason and truth. What we believe will effect where we spend eternity.

Dalai Lama Meets with Vietnamese CEO's

Theckchen Chöling, Dharamsala, HP, India, 15 May 2015 - His Holiness the Dalai Lama met with a group of 112 Vietnamese from the Vietnam CEO Club at his residence today. The group consists of about 60% women and 40% men. Most were in Dharamsala for the first time. To begin with the visitors offered His Holiness two large volumes containing Shantideva’s ‘Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life’ one in English and the other in Vietnamese. They were the work of 600 contributors. In his acknowledgement, His Holiness said:

“I received an explanation of this book ‘Bodhicharyavatara’ from Khunu Lama Rinpoche in 1967, at which time he asked me to teach it as many times as I could. And I’ve tried to do that. I have found it very helpful for transforming the mind. I read it and study it whenever I can.

“What this book teaches is really helpful for reducing the self-cherishing attitude and feeling attachment for things we see as inherently existent. We all have negative emotions and, since we want to be happy, it helps to reduce them. Whether we formally follow a religious tradition or not we need to pay more attention to inner values.”

He went on to say that when we talk about happiness, we usually associate it with sensory pleasures, beautiful sights and soothing sounds. We pay insufficient attention to our mind that is the source of happiness within us. He mentioned that the first item on the BBC news this morning was about migrants trying to reach Europe from North Africa in rickety boats, many of them dying on the way. This is an example of a man made problem. Many of these arise because of the division we feel between ‘us’ and ‘them’ and our tendency to work only for ‘our side’. ‘The Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life’ teaches us how to counter this tendency.

The first of several questions from the audience asked how we can see our minds in order to change them. His Holiness explained:

“To begin with you can focus your eyes and mind on an object. When you close your eyes, an image of the object remains. This is a generic image and you can learn to hold your attention on it to sustain it. Later, you can change your focus to the mind itself.

“Chapter 6 of the ‘Guide’ talks about patience. We tend to rely on and trust our negative emotions, but if we read this chapter it becomes clear how harmful they are and how we need to control them. Chapter 8 explains the disadvantages of attachment and a self-cherishing attitude as well as the advantages of cherishing others instead.

“Whether or not we formally follow a spiritual path, it’s important that to investigate the causes of unhappiness, which are the negative emotions, and ways to counter them. We also need to pay attention to the causes of happiness, such as love and compassion, and ways to develop them.”

His Holiness asked the group about rates of suicide in Vietnam and was told they were quite low. He further enquired whether most cases took place in cities or in rural villages. Hearing that most take place in cities he suggested that people feel isolated and lonely more easily in cities, whereas in villages there seems to be more social support and a sense of community. He remarked that love and affection have a role in this. As social animals, friendship is very important for human beings and friendship is based on trust, which grows when we show concern and respect for others. He added that there is a need everywhere to educate people about the value of warm-heartedness.

He asked about corruption and the gap between rich and poor in Vietnam and the answer to both questions was, “Large”. He remarked that clearly material development is necessary, but equally important is inner development. We all have problems, he said, but we have to find ways to deal with them.

The question of suicide came up again and he recalled hearing about a monk in Tibet who was arrested and subject to ‘class struggle’ by the Chinese authorities in 1958 or 59. When the monk was being transferred to another place and the party stopped to rest, he engaged in the practice of transference of consciousness and in effect took his own life. His Holiness said that we have to consider cases of suicide according to their circumstances.

A question was asked about the 5th and 6th verses of the ‘Eight Verses for Training the Mind’, which deal taking defeat upon yourself while giving the victory to others and coping with those who harm you despite the good you have done them. His Holiness stressed the importance of not getting angry with people who do you harm, but also of not being complacent about their wrong doing. You can and should intervene.

When a member of the audience requested a very simple explanation of emptiness, His Holiness replied that things do not exist as they appear.

Someone else asked how to deal with the negative emotions that arise in the course of doing business. His Holiness advised him to try to conduct his business less for his own profit, and not in order to cheat, exploit or deceive others, but in order to contribute to society at large.

“Learn about negative emotions and how to counter them. Be practical about it. It’s not only businessmen who are subject to negative emotions, even hermits is the hills can be subject to jealousy and competitiveness. But if you become familiar with recognising them you can learn to deal with them.”

The Lesser Keys Of Solomon And Dark Magic

The book itself is fine however, once one attempts to summon or try a invocation that's when things can get pretty dicy. NO ONE should attempt anything. It should be only for knowledge and study purposes only. People don't realize how easy it is to open wrong doors when becoming to involved with this subject. But I'm sure this warning will just fall on deaf ears. It's usually too late once they realize they have messed with forces beyond they're ken.

The Key of Solomon, in Latin Clavis Salomonis or Clavicula Salomonis, Hebrew Mafteah Shelomoh (מפתח שלמה), is a grimoire, or book on magic, attributed to King Solomon, probably dating to the 14th to 15th century Italian Renaissance and presenting a typical example of Renaissance and magic. The Lesser Key of Solomon, or the Goetia, is a medieval magickal text that claims to give the techniques and materials needed to embark on the mystical path of Solomon. It gives directions for casting magick circles, and invoking demons and dark Djinn into the consciousness of the magician. Here like Solomon the magician must unleash the demon from the brass vessel and symbolically slay the demon with a magical sword. Like the Djinn trapped in the magick lamp, the demon may also grant the wishes and desires of the magician, but it is the test of fortitude for the magician to resist these temptations and expel the demon from his mind.

These are from what I know, ancient hebrew spells, rooted in hebrew mysticism. Solomon the wise king of Isreal, son of David supposedly used the magic formulae laid down in the Clavicles to gain power over Demons. For example, he is reputed to have cast a spell to put the Demon Asmodeus into submission and make him build the Temple of Solomon. At the end of Solomons life He spoke in jibjerish and no one heeded his calling until his death. This was a very sad end for one who thought it was okay to walk with only 1 foot in God's Word.  And all because he heeded the invitations of his foreign wife who had nothing to do with our God all powerful creator of the Heavens and Earth. He did what he should not. when he summoned Samuel, He was rebuked.

A demon is believed to be a force that can be conjured and controlled. They are also believed to have the ability to possess or inhabit the body of humans and the only way to rid the person of them is to conduct deliverance and/or Exorcism. Demons are portrayed differently in different cultures. Some believe demons to be actual physical beings that can take the form of anything, including animals. Others consider the real demons as more of a spiritual force of evil battling for one's soul. They  have been feared and written about in almost every culture in one form or another. Any type of summoning will put you in the line of fire. You will not be able to control whatever you happen to conjur. The risks are too dangerous.

What Is Black/Dark Magic?

Black magic has traditionally referred to the use of supernatural powers or magic for eviland selfish purposes.[1] With respect to the left-hand path and right-hand path dichotomy, black magic is the malicious, left-hand counterpart of benevolent white magic. In modern times, some find that the definition of "black magic" has been convoluted by people who define magic or ritualistic practices that they disapprove of as "black magic".[2]

According to the bible God despises witchcraft and black magic. Many commands, beginning in the Old Testament, forbid any association with witchcraft or sorcery. Deuteronomy 18:10says, “Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft.” Exodus 22:18says, “You shall not permit a sorceress to live.” When God removed Saul from his position as king of Israel, He compared Saul’s behavior to the evil of sorcery. Through the prophet Samuel, the Lord said, “Rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft, and stubbornness as bad as worshiping idols” (1 Samuel 15:23). Many other Old Testament passages condemn witchcraft in its many forms (Micah 3:7; 5:12; 2 Kings 21:6; Leviticus 19:26, 31; Deuteronomy 18:14).

Lying is Satan's main weapon against God’s children. He uses the tactic of deceit to separate people from their heavenly Father. The most common lie is "there is no God,” “God doesn’t care about you,” “the Bible cannot be trusted,” But we must remember the apostle Paul tells us that Satan “masquerades as an angel of light” so that what he says and does sounds good and seems reasonable. Another example would be "familiar spirits" demons masquerading as your past love one in order to get a foothold into your life. Of course they would know exactly what to say that only your grandmother would know and they could appear to look like you're lost and dearly departed. The Bible warns us to "be aware of the familiar spirit"

Many as I spoke of before are attempting to summon these entities which causes me great concern. With a few new TV shows and a few new movies with this type of stuff is having a big influence on people. So many of the newer shows are centered around dark magic. A new show called "The Originals" seems to be a spinoff from "The Vampire Diaries". There is a new Insidious movie (part 3) coming to theaters soon. It is very disturbing from what I can see from the commercials it is just not healthy, these type of movies and TV are just not healthy. I understand it is a entertainment thing but the problem is people in real life try to emulate the events that take place during such "entertainment". I hope my article help shed some light regarding these books and the dangers that they can present.

If you feel you have inadvertently opened wrong doors due to becoming obsessed with the books regarding demons or possession and the Devil is attacking you with fears, worries, anxiety etc., you can pray in the Name of Jesus and resist and overcome him!--Jesus said, "Behold, I give you power over all the power of the Enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you."-Luke 10:19. This power is YOURS if you believe His Word, claim His promises and pray in the Name of Jesus! In fact, if you are filled with faith and His Holy Spirit, you have the authority to resist the Devil directly, just like Jesus and His early disciples did.

Musings Regarding Bruce Jenner

By Reverend Mark Hunnemann

“So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him, male and female He created them.” (Genesis 1:27)

Let me begin by saying that many folks are disgusted by this whole thing and think there are much more important issues to deal with, like the poor and homeless. I understand, and I agree in-part, but as we’ll see, Bruce Jenner, just by virtue of WHO he is, will make this issue take a quantum jump in terms of impact. Make no mistake about it; Satan is thrilled at destroying or causing confusion about basic creational distinctions like sexual identity.

It is rare that I buy a copy of ‘People’ magazine but this week I succumbed because it featured Bruce Jenner. While some of you may know him mainly due the Kardashian TV show, I was gripped by his achievements way back in 1976 when I was in college. As the Olympic gold winner of the decathlon, that made him in many people’s minds the greatest athlete of his time. Ten grueling events made this decathlete an instant star and hero to millions. I remember vividly watching his performance in the mile run, which if I recall correctly, cemented his victory. He was the epitome of a ‘manly man’, at least in the world’s eye. He certainly was an inspiration to me in terms of a ‘triumph of the human spirit.’

On April 24 nearly 17 million people tuned in to watch his bombshell interview with Diane Sawyer in which he revealed publicly what many had already suspected: he is focused on creating a new existence as a woman.  He said, “For all intents and purposes, I am a woman. My whole life has been getting ready for this…” It seems that his affinity with femininity goes far back into childhood, when he liked to wear women’s clothes, in the secrecy of his home.

I am not trained in this area but when he claimed divine sanction for his actions, then I really took notice. Jenner said, “Maybe this is my cause in life. This is why God put me on this earth—to deal with this issue.” Given his iconic status, Jenner may very well be an extremely effective ambassador for this cause. And appealing to God and His alleged call on Jenner to spread the ‘okayedness’ of transitioning from male to female, or vice versa, will only further increase his impact both in and outside the church.

It seems that he (for the time being Jenner prefers the male pronoun, but that will change) is consciously taking systematic steps toward a full female identity. Over the years he has had hormone treatments and so on to start the process, only to stop for a while and then resume. According to this article, Jenner has not YET had his ‘plumbing’ changed, but it seems inevitable according to his plans.

Out of the ten children in my family, I had one sister who was a lesbian until her untimely death at the age of 50. There seems to be no rhyme or reason why she had this same-sex affinity, but the one certainty is that we loved each other. I mention my sister to let my readers know that I don’t know it all, and that I have special compassion for those mired in gender-identity issues. From even a cursory reading of the gospels, it is clear that Jesus reached out to those considered sexually or morally depraved by the religious community. However, it must be added that He never condoned their sin, no matter how tender our Lord dealt with them. “Go and sin no more” was his constant refrain after He had dealt compassionately with notorious sinners. If we despise Jenner, homosexuals, etc., then we simply are not Christians. How can we hate after God has been so kind and gracious to us? To critique Jenner, as I am doing, is not an act of hate. At the moment I feel like weeping at how every one of us was born with ‘cracks in our psyches’ due to the Fall of Adam.

Why Bruce Jenner has had a life-long struggle with accepting his male-ness is beyond the scope of this blog as well as my competence. While this is not explicitly an issue of homosexuality, which the bible is explicit about, it is an issue of gender confusion. While some people ask whether addiction is a disease or a sin, I answer that it is both. At some point sinful over-indulgence becomes a physiological enslavement. In this vein, that is how I think we should view Jenner’s situation. My sister, due to the ravages of the Fall, MAY have been born with a proclivity toward lesbianism. However, she, like Jenner, made early decisions which opened ‘Pandora’s Box’. My sister was severely abused by her husband which I am sure only made matters worse. Similarly, whether by nurture or ‘nature’, Jenner had an affinity for femaleness, but (and this is crucial) he also made decisions against his conscience which deformed his conscience, and accelerated his gender confusion. Did his parents teach him about mature, biblical masculinity? Did they see his wearing of female apparel at home as innocuous child’s play? Was there a same-sex (dad) deprivation in his early years? I am not a psychologist nor a Jenner expert so I don’t know the answers to these questions.

What says the bible? “A woman shall not wear a man’s garment, nor shall a man put on a woman’s cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord (Yahweh) your God.” (Deuteronomy 22:5)

This text likely prohibits transvestism. However, the larger issue at stake is the bible’s insistence on adherence to protecting creational distinctions between females and males. The wearing of clothes of the opposite sex is opposed in the strongest language because it is an outward expression of a diabolical confusion of one of God’s most important creational distinctions. Bruce Jenner crossed both boundaries—he had a long history of cross-dressing, which certainly contributed to his confusion and pursuit of changing his sexual identity. When Jenner wore/wears girls/women’s clothes we have to ask what God felt about that, and not what our darkened culture says. Whatever mitigating factors there are, the bottom line is that Jenner is not humbling himself before God’s law as expressed in the above text, and implied in many other texts which celebrate how God has created each one of us as He sovereignly designed.

That he says that his life calling from God is to open the doors to gender transition certainly is antithetical to the bible. It is so easy to get fixated on legitimate issues but miss the main issue. I said in my book that when we have a difficult issue, then we need to follow Jesus’ lead and go back to Genesis 1-3. We have male and female which comprise the image of God. The distinction includes, but goes much further, than a difference in plumbing. To borrow a phrase, Jenner is ripping asunder what God has joined together—namely, our God given sexual identity. Undoubtedly there were similar situations hundreds of years ago in America, but Jenner is both symptom and cause of the moral decline in America. That he could ‘come out’ and be considered a hero is a symptom of how depraved our values have become. That Jenner is already a cultural icon means that his destruction of creational categories will possibly have an unparalleled effect on the continuing diabolical confusion regarding a biblical understanding of masculinity and femininity.

Hence, with tears, we must resist and oppose any gender ‘transitions’. God made Bruce Jenner a MAN and whatever feelings and struggles he faces, he must bow before the Lord and repent.

Recently in an issue of "World" magazine there was an article which reported that it is illegal in New Jersey and California for state licensed counselors to talk with minors about changing their sexual orientation, but also prohibit discussions about changing behavior or pursuing efforts “to reduce or eliminate sexual or romantic attractions or feelings to a person of the same gender.” Take note: that includes any counseling that suggests that it is possible for a person to change—or even reduce—same-sex attractions.

For Christian counselors licensed by the state, the directive is clear: the laws prohibit them from talking with minors about resisting same-sex attractions, including any biblical encouragement to pursue repentance and faith in Christ. 18 other states have/are considering similar bans, and the Obama administration seems poised to possibly enact a national ban.

As one person said, “I think it is a very dangerous position for the government to say it knows best what kind of counseling one should receive.” Amen!

But the New Jersey ban does add a striking caveat: this ban does NOT include counseling for a minor seeking to transition from one gender to another. And in California the ban does not apply to therapies that affirm a minor’s sexual orientation. That is inconsistent, to put it mildly.

“That means in both states, licensed therapists may talk with minors about changing their bodies if they want to be another gender, but not about changing their feelings if they don’t want same-sex attractions.’ (Jamie Dean, World, pg. 46). This leaves licensed Christian counselors in these states in a real dilemma, and many have to turn clients away, though many are seeking legal recourse. In Los Angeles, one hospital has experimented with over 100 minors with puberty-blocking drugs. Surely this is insane and depraved.

I repeat: all of us were born with psychological ‘issues’ due to the Fall, so that should fill us with compassion for those struggling with sexual confusion. We can and should realize that folks like Jenner struggle with real feelings which can be difficult to change. However, there are many people who were mired in sexual sin but found freedom in Christ. Even at this stage, if Bruce Jenner (or you) look to God’s revealed will in the bible and find competent/compassionate counseling, then I am confident that he will find substantial healing regarding his sexual confusion. I’m not saying it would be easy, but we must seek God’s will regardless of the cost. “There but by the grace of God go I.”

His Holiness the Dalai Lama Launches Local News App

Kangra, HP, India, 9 May 2015 - His Holiness the Dalai Lama was today invited to Kangra, the ancient town near Dharamsala where he lives. He was welcomed on arrival by Dr Rajesh Sharma, founder of the Balaji Hospital and Shree Balaji Media Innovations, and local MLA and Minister for Housing, Town and Country Planning in the Himachal Pradesh Government, Mr Sudhir Sharma. His Holiness was ushered into the new media building adjacent to the hospital, which will be home to Himachalabhiabhi.com a bilingual new news app.

Before launching the app, His Holiness was briefly interviewed for it by Anil Patwar who asked he what felt PM Narendra Modi might talk about when he goes to China next week.  He replied:

“I’m sure as Prime Minister, he knows best, but he might mention India and Tibet’s unique more than one thousand year old relationship. All our knowledge came from India, so we have a special relationship of Guru and disciple. Today, I am very concerned about the preservation of Tibetan culture, which is essentially ancient Indian culture. We follow the Buddhadharma and the Buddha taught in India, as the Prime Minister himself was observing the other day at Buddha Purnima celebrations in Delhi. And the traditions we preserved in Tibet belong to the Nalanda tradition that was introduced to us by Shantarakshita.

“He might also talk about the environment, the importance of the Brahmaputra and other rivers that rise in Tibet on which more than a billion people depend.”

When asked what kind of birth he might choose next, His Holiness jokingly replied, “A woman?” and went on to explain how he had once told a French journalist that it could very well be possible for a Dalai Lama to be born as a woman. He cited the example of other high reincarnations in Tibet who were women.

“Personally, I don’t know where I’ll be born, but I always remember the prayer:

For as long as space endures
And for as long as living beings remain,
Until then may I too abide
To dispel the misery of the world.

“The first Dalai Lama, who was a great scholar and practitioner, when he reached about my age and commented that he was getting old, was told by his disciples that he would probably go to a Pure Land. He told them that wasn’t what he wished for at all. He wanted to be where he could relieve others’ suffering.”

Asked why the Chinese authorities seem to have such misapprehensions about him despite his being a man of peace, he said they tend to see things only from a political point of view. He gave the example of the Cultural Revolution, which was praised while it was going on. When it was over it was described as having had some advantages and some drawbacks. Much later it was said to have been completely destructive. This suggests a difficulty in appraising things realistically.

His Holiness said that the 1.3 billion Chinese people deserve to be given reliable information and if they were could make their own judgement about what is right and wrong. By comparison he praised India as a wonderful country where freedom flourishes. He remarked that while he generally considers himself one of the 7 billion human beings alive today, he has lived the last 56 years in India.

“I am a messenger for India, a son of India, but if you ask which part of the country I’ve spent the most time in, it’s Himachal Pradesh. And I’d like to extend my greetings to the Himachali people and the wish that they will go from success to success.”

Flanked by Dr Rajesh Sharma and Mr Sudhir Sharma, His Holiness cut the ribbon to the portal hub and was invited to sit at one of the computer desks where Anil Patwar guided him in launching the new news app, Himachalabhiabhi.com

Addressing an invited audience of about 200 downstairs, His Holiness said that this was the first time he had launched a new app and that he was not well acquainted with the use of computers.

“But,” he noted, “they are part of the 21st century, a time when I think people’s attitudes are changing. People are becoming opposed to the use of violence to settle conflicts, they are more concerned about the natural environment and they are concerned to find ways to close the gap between rich and poor. And the more they recognise corruption, that seems to erupt everywhere, the more they are opposed to it. The reason for this is that people’s awareness has grown. A special quality we human beings possess is our intelligence and in order to employ it we need access to more and better information.

“It’s clear that in this the world’s most populous democratic country, the media have a very important role. This includes a role in educating people. But educating the brain alone provides no guarantee of living a happy life. We need also to educate people about karuna, warm-heartedness, which will enable them to live as happy individuals, in happy families, in a happy society.”

Symptoms of Spiritual Pollution, Part 4

Continued from:
Symptoms of Spiritual Pollution, Part 1
Symptoms of Spiritual Pollution, Part 2

Symptoms of Spiritual Pollution, Part 3

In my continuation on the blog series Spiritual Warfare from the last time I discussed the critical aspect of Dependency. I first started off the blog series with Reverence for the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, which I laid this out so that you will understand and learn that one must fear God. The second part was that to truly understand God you need to submit to his ways and thus not your or other human’s ways. The third aspect is to be completely dependent upon God for everything in your life.

This section of the blog series we will focus on the 4th aspect which is TRUST in God. Trust is defined by Webster’s as follows: “firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.” Trust is defined as to have confidence, faith or hope in someone or something. Therefore to have complete victory over demonic forces then one must have absolute trust in God. For it is God alone who removes them off of you only when God is ready to do so.

Without complete trust in God you are nothing. God is everything and will always be. Thus it is you who is powerless to protect yourself in life. Think about this, if God chooses to not protect you, you are done for. If God chooses not to be faithful to you, then you have no hope or chance at all. For there is nothing you can do on your own mannerisms to manipulate God into paying attention to you, drawing near to you, or rescuing you from danger when you choose not to be in alignment with God. This when the assignment for the demonic forces come against you begin.

Sadly we are totally dependent on God for all things, but many people disagree and thus they suffer penalties from God. The simplest act of breathing air in our lungs requires us to be totally dependent upon God. If the oxygen supply was suddenly gone you would have as much emotional power over God as your pencil has over you. As the Holy Spirit cultivates the attitudes of reverence, submission, and dependency in us, we then arrive at the unsettling realization that our ONLY source of hope in life is God and his character aspects. If God is good, then we will be able to count on Him to be with us and to take care of us.

If God is evil, then we have no hope at all. However, God is not evil at all, but God did create and allow evil to exist. Neither you nor I have any control over who God is or what God does. We both have no control over our own existence. God is who God is, and we have no way of escaping His Presence.

Yes one can try to ignore the presence of God and shut God out in our own minds, but God is all knowing and all seeing. Lucky for us, God is good, so good he is “shockingly” good. Unfortunately, we as pathetic humans struggle to believe His goodness is real. For all of us constantly fear that God is somehow lying to us—that one of these days it will turn out that God really doesn’t love us or care about us as much as He says.

When terrible trials come into our lives, the goodness of God is the first thing we doubt. Here is what you as the reader should now be understanding. These trials are “tests” from God to see if “his” children are learning and growing towards or away from his Son who was sent to bridge the gap for us. “Why would a loving God allow this” or “Why would God allow these demons to do what they do” are those often asked questions that not only I hear but others in this ministry.

This is where the trust aspect, the fourth key comes in to play. The entire relationship with God is built on trust in his goodness as well as his mercy. That is all you are trusting in the goodness and mercy of God. If you try to trust in God’s predictability, or if a person tries to trust that God’s goodness will express itself in certain actions and interventions, then you are going to end up in a major crisis of faith. This crisis in faith will devour a person thus leaving them totally vulnerable and open for attack from the demonic.

Contrary to what a person is usually taught in the church, the goodness of God does not mean God will always take those demons off of you the moment you are in distress. Why? Because of the test God has placed the person in. The goodness does NOT mean God will pour out the blessings down upon your head, especially material blessings.

This certainly does NOT mean God will keep you in perfect health or share his power with you. What this means is that God wants to see which way you will respond in a spiritual crisis. Will you turn to him, thus repent of your ways and make him your personal savior through the Lord Jesus Christ?

God will never share his power with you. Though you might desire or want to have that. What God will do though is put you through all kinds of trials in order to cultivate these four essential mindsets within you that I have covered in the four aspects of Spiritual Warfare. Learning to revere God is like riding an elevator down a shaft that has no bottom. What is occurring is a deeper level of understanding that the person can acquire about who God and what God really is.

This also happens with the other key aspects: submission, dependency and trust. It is these very concepts which God is going to continue revealing as well as educating the person as to what is expected for all of eternity. To believe that God is good is only the beginning. That belief needs to be tested, tried, hammered, and pounded into your very being if it is going to bind you closer to God.

Unfortunately many people refuse to fully revere, submit, depend and trust upon God for all that they do and all that they have. These people are the ones who need the very wing of God to protect them, but for whatever reason these people think they are above all of doing the very thing that God calls them to do. That is rely upon God.

I will continue with the next aspect of INTIMACY WITH GOD in a blog next time.

Why is the Occult So Popular?

Hello my para-beauties!

I've noticed on YouTube and many other places the Occult has become quite popular and not in a positive way. Satanism to quite a few people is not healthy.

More and more tv shows and movies are motivate by this subject and it peaks the curiosity of viewers and then once they hit the internet it's a lot of material that can be misleading or worse offer tools and free literature on Satanism or very disturbing topics

A TV show about a serial killer who obsessively targets other serial killers aired for many seasons. A highly popular film series about a teenage wizard netted $7.7 billion in total box office receipts. Cable television stations continuously poured out 1 para tv show after another and countless" real documentaries. A horror film about a killer who takes sadistic pleasure in meticulously torturing his victims spawned six sequels and countless imitations.

Dark-themed entertainment, in the form of movies, books, television shows, and video games, is here to stay..

Satanism is a hard core religion. It's based on the belief that it's ok to be selfish and they practically live by that attitude. They pretty much say the world will be ruled by those who fight to win.

Satanism challenges the biblical teaching every which way you can imagine. It manipulates the mind against it. Also regarding man's relationship to others. We are to esteem others better than ourselves, and we are to be team players. 1 Corinthians tells us to be a part of the body of Christ, whereas, satanism esteems the "self" over others.

A lot of satanists believe that the strong will rule with Satan. Once they have paid their dues for lack of better words, they often make a pact with satan. Some even make a date when they will take their own lives by suicide. They believe that if they submit themselves to satan in death, they will return in another life as a stronger being and rule with him forever. According to recent statistics, fourteen young people a day take their own lives. A major concern for those who uphold a Judeo-Christian world view is that this generation is becoming detached and is losing all sense of morality. Many have lost their mooring. It is so important for the the church, and we as individuals, to share the message that Jesus Christ is the only possible solution to our emotional and spiritual needs.

Satan has used a number of tools over the centuries to capture the naive. The Ouija Board has proven to be very productive in this method. According to the Dictionary of Mysticism the Ouija Board is "an instrument for communication with the spirits of the dead." The Ouija Board is an open door to the other side and anything demonic.. Disembodied spirits speak to the living through the medium of the Ouija Board. This information is believed to be truth from the other side and is not recognized for what it is: Lucifer's delusion to gain our allegiance.

How does the occult relate to religion? The occult comes in two related forms. The occult arts such as divination, fortune-telling, spiritism, magic, and so forth. There is also an occult/mystical worldview. The occult tends to be more magical. It is a more mechanical expression of the occult. Yet even the occult arts have religious aspects; they attempt to provide meaning, contacts with the “sacred,” and, at times, a basis for community. This information is very disturbing but all to well true. We need to be in prayer every single day against this. Don't show hate or be judgmental, just show love and be sure t do our very best to avoid anything that satan would just love for us to falter in. Christ died for our sins, as I have said before the battle has already been done my friends.
